Could you guys make a video about choosing the correct foundation, concelar and contour based on the undertones? i am struggling with these😩😩+ this is such a helpful video!
Haley Kim has some videos on best foundation color tips here on YT. My advice is, you should pay attention to what shadow your skintone creates when you're straight standing in front of clear sky light. The shadow color it creates is the color you should contour with. And go with a concealer shade that is the same undertone (for example, if you're medium skintone with olive undertone, go with the same shade in concealer as your foundation shade. If you want lighter shade for concealer, get a shade that's your undertone but in the lighter spectrum on shade category). Alot of talk, but I hope you got something :)
I learnt another thing while taking my photos. The color of the light also matters. I have a more tanned skin tone so I mindlessly took photos in a yellowish colored light which actually resulted in some of my best photos. So everyone please always check which light color suits your skin tone the best!
@Aprille Wu Hm! Blue and white would be great options but as said in the video don't let the light be harsh or too close to you or it might be messy....and if I think about it now when I was taking my photos all the other lights were off with just the right amount of natural light coming in so maybe try to turn off all the lights other than the blue/white light source and keep them at a distance so they are dimmed. Hope it helps you! Nonetheless always remember that you're beautiful and should love yourself 🫶✨
I was confused by people saying they avoided direct sunlight when their skin was broken out and preferred cloudy days, bc I look so much better in the sun vs. overcast light which seems to bring out my flaws… this comment made me realize that they must have had cool undertones, whereas mine are very warm!
I love how much of a safe space your channel feels. It's calming, you clearly know your stuff, you make the point you want to help us look better, but do it in a way that makes sure we know that we were beautiful already.

One good thing to know about asymmetrical faces: a perfectly symmetrical face just does not exist. In fact, when presented with a computer-made perfectly symmetrical face, opposed to a normal asymmetrical one, the majority of people will see the latter as more beautiful. Tsuki from Billlie has such great photos of herself, idk how she does it but her face always looks slimmer the way the camera pans down on her face. In her videos her face is a bit chubbier (like a rabbit) so I was wondering how she does it haha
i think her face looks chubbier in videos because she smiles and laughs a lot in them, but on photos she doesn't smile as much or smiles more gently! or maybe it's just the editing
She probably uses an app that slightly slims her face (most idols probably use things like that). It's common in Korea since that's the standard. I mean the Snow app is used a lot. Some phones also automatically have a whitening and slimming effect on the front camera (like my Samsung phone). It could also be the angle of the photos or that she's not smiling so her cheeks are slimmer than when she is smiling.
I have a horizontal smile naturally and it makes me look awful when I smile 🤧 And for some reason my lip corners are down when I'm genuinely smiling and it just looks...weird. I'll def use it if I ever decide to take selfies lol And I always noticed that I look better in the mirror than on camera, I think it's the distortion.

I never chose the right outfit colors or shapes. I feel excited now to try smiling, thank you for making me feel this is something I have the ability to do better than I used to.
I want to say thank you so much for this video, recently I have lost so much confidence in my face cause I look so bad in every single picture I take. When I look in the mirror, I look 90x better and I feel so pretty, but when I look in the camera I feel ugly and like a completely different person. Even when people say I look pretty in person I feel like they’re all lying cause when I look at myself I feel so unattractive. I did all the thing that shouldn't be done in a selfies :( Hench, this is why my best selfies usually candid or when I smile with full laughter on it! Thanks for the tips I will try it from now on
Holy shit, I've always been insecure of my teeth since my family doesn't have the money to fix how it's protruding but I find that the diffusing smile fits me best!! Never tried that since I have the tendency to smile horizontally! I think it works best for those with shorter chin lengths and protruding or shorter (gum more exposed when smiling widely) teeth.
Girl same my teeth ruin my smile so I'll be getting Invisalign or something soon ish but I tend to smile so that my teeth don't or barely show. It's funny because back in school, the photographer would say smile wider and my mouth is still closed lmao.
I'm struggling with the whole set lol idk how but I managed to have the ugliest face and the ugliest body ever, there's not a single thing looking at least acceptable about my appearance. I get sad often but gladly I don't need that for my dream job
i'm in my mid-20s and while I'm def not old it's still a little embarrassing that I don't know how to look good in photos! so this video is PERFECT and I wish I had such tutorials growing up (I was even scouted as a model for one job and the poor photographer STRUGGLED because of my awkward posing and expressions!! it was so embarrassing I decided I would never model again lol)
Take some acting lessons, you'll do great afterwards. And buy a bunch of mirrors. You have to look at yourself in the mirror and pose with your face and body.

Where was this channel during my teen years? Now I'm in college, and following the tips by dear peachie has bumped up my facial confidence levels to a 10. This is hands down the best glow up channel on the internet. Love you guys for making well researched content! ❤❤
dear peachieee, the only beauty channel that i trust, thank you for this GREAT video ❤️ it's so well-researched and the editing is so cute, i really appreciate your effort to make this video 🥺 ✨️ please stay healthy sweetie 💕
Hi Dear Peachie, can you make a video about how to pose and post and edit our photos where it's natural to look at. I've been having a hard time doing it, having a good makeup is good but as it doesn't show in photos, my face look sad even when I'm not, well now I am 😅😭 I hope you do one in the future. I love you ❤️😙
My picture smile has always been so awkward when others take pictures for me. I unconsciously smile a way that I think benefits me most when I take selfies, but it takes me a while to get there and I never remember it by the next time I take a picture. Im soo happy the smile issue was addressed 😭
I enjoy these videos and know not to take them too seriously, but practicing a smile is weird af! You have your own natural, automatic smile, like you have your own laugh and voice! And they are what make you you! They are what your Friends and family recognise and love, and they are beautiful! It’s fun to play around with expression and style and to take a bomb selfie, or it can feel calming to be knowledgable and in control of your appearance, but you‘re just human, and when you laugh your Soul shines.
Actually it's helpful in some ways. I don't have the beautigul teeth so I always was insecure about my smile. A long time ago I decided to fix my smile to more closed one and my confidence increased. Also I used to this tipe of smiling and now I do it without even thinking
@@Meh-cl3qb That's honestly great! I think I'm a little afraid that watching peachie videos will trigger more scrutiny and insecurities for me, so I tried to distance myself from it, I think. Being really aware of your looks, presence, "charisma" and body can be a double edged sword, but that means it has a good side too!
Some of us literally do not know how to smile (yes 😭) so in most of my pictures I'm smiling in a weird way almost creepy lol. Hence practicing how to smile helps A LOT !
Thanks so much for this 😭 my sis took a photo of me and said my facial expression looks like I’ve seen a ghost and I’m always very awkward when taking photos 😔 but I’ll remember what I’ve learned from this video when taking photos again 😊
Could you do a video on dresses that flatter different body types I'm a flat chested person and it's nice and all about I feel like I won't look good wearing mermaid style dresses and dresses that are typically worn by people who has a " Normal " Chest size
This was so helpful!!! I'm going to the Bahamas next week and I don't want my insecurities to stop me from taking nice photos! Then I came across ur channel and u guys showed me how to work with my features! Tysm!!❤️❤️✨✨😁😁
I've tried the look away pose and I look HORRENDOUS with that pose. About the outfit, I'm really annoyed that my best pictures are those I randomly took at the bathroom naked just because I can. I can't show them off because I'm naked.
This video was SO DAMN HELPFUL!!! For a very long tike i’ve been feeling unphotogenic for a while now and i’m pretty sure it’s because i just lost my skill at posing in front of the camera. This really helped me freshen up my poses and understand my face and angles all over again!! Thank you so much Peachie really!!! I cant wait to take more pics!
Omg and the clothing section! I had noticed wearing long hair made me look too clunky around the shoulders and couldn't figure out why! That's an valuable tip!
Another great video! Personally, I've always struggled with my appearance. How good I should look all the time. But for some reason, despite how much I try to pay attention to my appearance, I still wouldnt look good whenever I took a candid photo where I couldn't choose 1 out of 100 photos I took of myself. Eventually, I realized I was trying too hard. I realized I looked the best if I gave a big, genuine smile on the camera. It didnt matter if the angle was good or bad or if it showed how bad my skin was, I just needed to look confident, and eventually I stopped caring about the little things. All pictures of myself look good to me now.
Btww I don't know how these muscles are called but sometimes to make your (vertical) smile a bit cuter and not as awkward you could try to use muscles under your lips to create little "dimples" but under your lips and not on your cheeks. Edit: I figured out they're called fovea inferior angle oris or chimples and apparently naturally only few people have it, but I never had it naturally myself and just used my muscles and it worked lol
Help full info about cameras to be aware off: if you want see the most true to life representation of yourself you should look at a 3D picture of yourself taken with a 50mm Full Frame camera. A regular 2D picture will suffice but beware that rounded areas of your face may appear flat because of the lack of depth inherent in 2D pictures.
I always see my face more better at the mirror but when I tried to take a picture of myself, I just dissapointed. At the end, I'm not take picture of myself anymore for these years because I look ugly in camera. But, I don't think I'm ugly just the camera look me ugly.
Hey dear peachier I have a video suggestion! 💕 This could be a bit weird or hard to make but could you possibly make a video on how to get the best nails for you? Like colour shape length etc I recently got my nails done and I love the colour but feel like it doesn’t suit me 😔
Thank you so much peachy, this is so useful. I am aware of the lens distortion thing but not really deep so that's why idk how to control it properly. And as an Exo-l, I'll always laugh when Sehun is used for example as bad at selfie bc it's true lol
We constantly compare ourselves with celebrities...but we don't realize that they do all these things all the time to look so perfect......otherwise they are just like us...
I can't thank you enough for this smile section. I'm over 30 still struggle with smiling. My smile look forced. Never take pictures with my mouth closed.
How I wish that in every tutorial for this kind of thing they would use examples of ugly people, un-photogenic or not conventionally pretty so we actually see them work with regular people :///
These tips are deeply rooted in ridiculous beauty standards and idol obsession ... A better tip would be: move away from the "social media obsessed world"
Important note about lens distortion: you can use this to your advantage. If you have a large forehead and small chin, hold your phone below your chin to make your face appear more balanced. If you have a small forehead and large chin, hold it above your eye level.
This is my fav beauty channel! 💗 All videos are simple, sweet, and easy to follow. They’re all very pleasing to watch and I like that everything here is researched then compiled and translated in a way that’s easy for the viewers to understand. What you’re doing is so helpful, thank you so much! ☺️💖
I'm always the one who looks prettiest in person and in photos that i take but then I'm also the one who look shy and not good in photos thst others take of me
I've always hate my underbite literally my whole life, it's okay when I took selfie but when it's someone else who took my photo, most of the time I would hate the results 😭
I love your channel because the tips are helpful and fits asain faces like me!! i was wondering if you could make a video on how to do makeup on long faces ?
This was so helpful! Though… I can’t tell which smile is best for me because I’ve been wearing a leafy face mask the whole time, but I CAN tell that I will definitely need to find videos on how to train my cheek muscles since I can’t move them without using the rest of my face, and it makes my face look scrunched when I try. What’s wrong with my cheek muscles is the same thing as why you can’t put your pinky finger all the way down without the ring ringer following. When I try to move my cheek muscles in any way, the rest of my face moves with it and I physically can’t stop it
Omg the distortion part was really helpful I couldn’t understand why my selfies looked so off for the longest time 😅 I feel more confident now to take more photos
i needed this i always look bad in my friends photos and sometimes they dont post them, or if they do I feel like i look so so bad (I dont think I look bad I just think that i could look better in photos)
Well idk what's wrong with me before as a kid my pictures always turned out well as I grew up I got dark circles,my face look uncemetrical and I had a weird smile I got bullied for my year book or magazine pics and my magazine pics for this year just came out and I feel like imma get bullied again idk how to fix myself but maybe this vid will work?
I have an oval face, and because I lost a lot of weight, it lookds even more longer now. This has always been one of my biggest problems when taking photos, especially selfies, cus selfies make my face especially long. Could you give some advice on that? Like, I found that taking pics from afar works a bit better, but is there any other trick :/
I definitely smiled while seeing the diffuse smile pictures I think the horizontal smile might suit me the most since when I tried doing that once someone told me I'm very photogenic! Which had never happened before I'll definitely try the other ways Great video!!
Thank you for this video!! Even though i have small nose, my front cam always made my nose look big and i even considered getting plastic surgery because of it. Now that i know why i feel much better about myself. 😌♥
Hii 😃 so about just a year ago a lot of people would advice me not to wear makeup because of poor skill and they said it just wasn’t for me 😞 than i tried to improve my skill and this channel actually helped 😊 now i have been going to function feeling beautiful ✨ but i really suck at posing and i don’t have good photos … thanks for the advices im gonna use them😃👍👍
Just be aware, cameras always distort your face, that's just how they work. Even if you see an actor in person, you'll notice little things you don't see in camera. Humans always work better face to face and no one has the face you have!
i should've watched this before taking my id photo😭 in my id photo, i smiled too wide (horizontal) and it made my nose and jaw look MUCH wider. It also made my lips look thinner and my eyes smaller. I had no top lip and it looked like i was squinting really hard in the photo. I should've done something more natural like the vertical smile. Thank you so much for enlightening me! will definitely keep in mind for next year's id photo haha!

I'm literally watching a "how to smile right" tutorial
@@vasilisablud its just about how to look better on photos, nothing deep
I ACTUALLY NEEDED THIS SO MUCH 😭 THANKU SO MUCH FOR THIS ❤️
I love your channel so much
I am struggling with my smile 😢
I'm struggling with the whole set lol idk how but I managed to have the ugliest face and the ugliest body ever, there's not a single thing looking at least acceptable about my appearance. I get sad often but gladly I don't need that for my dream job
So I meet celebs and models for my job and I promise they do not look flawless irl. They look basically like everyone else up close
i'm in my mid-20s and while I'm def not old it's still a little embarrassing that I don't know how to look good in photos! so this video is PERFECT and I wish I had such tutorials growing up
(I was even scouted as a model for one job and the poor photographer STRUGGLED because of my awkward posing and expressions!! it was so embarrassing I decided I would never model again lol)
Take some acting lessons, you'll do great afterwards. And buy a bunch of mirrors. You have to look at yourself in the mirror and pose with your face and body.
i can‘t- i literally just bought a polaroid camera yesterday but felt ugly on every photo i am so grateful for this video and hope it helps❤
Is that you in the profile picture? If yes.. Then you are definitely very pretty✨🤍
This is noT for for ur race or any other race except asians
@@Elyhhk excuse me.. This video is made by keeping the information general.. These are just tips to look better in photos.. Kindly shut up without even watching the entire video.. Don't try to be a flag bearer of 'i am an anti racist person and I'll shout it out for public validation even without knowing what racism is " You are looking dumb here istg
@@lini3333 tysm it’s indeed me🥹🤍
@@Elyhhk idk how to reply bc this comment is just wtf
Where was this channel during my teen years? Now I'm in college, and following the tips by dear peachie has bumped up my facial confidence levels to a 10. This is hands down the best glow up channel on the internet. Love you guys for making well researched content! ❤❤
I am so weird, if I look too ugly in pictures I get sad, but if I get too pretty I feel like I would be misleading people… why am I like this
amazing content as always 😭 had a major epiphany after watching this. thank you so much!!!
this is really not jjust a game changer but a life changer for me. You guys dont know how much it helped my confidence😭 tysm! Keep going!
dear peachieee, the only beauty channel that i trust, thank you for this GREAT video ❤️ it's so well-researched and the editing is so cute, i really appreciate your effort to make this video 🥺 ✨️ please stay healthy sweetie 💕
Hi Dear Peachie, can you make a video about how to pose and post and edit our photos where it's natural to look at. I've been having a hard time doing it, having a good makeup is good but as it doesn't show in photos, my face look sad even when I'm not, well now I am 😅😭
I hope you do one in the future. I love you ❤️😙
My picture smile has always been so awkward when others take pictures for me. I unconsciously smile a way that I think benefits me most when I take selfies, but it takes me a while to get there and I never remember it by the next time I take a picture. Im soo happy the smile issue was addressed 😭
too many people forget that sometimes, its not us, but our camera person..
This is such a wealth of knowledge, thank you for sharing with us! ❤️
SUCH A USEFUL VIDEO!!!! thank you so muchhh, it's all perfect and simple to understand, i love it your editing skills btw😽😽
@@mir7948 looking weird in pictures is a struggle lol! I can relate! You make me think maybe I should start practicing 😅
@@sprotte6665 I recommend you to! Practicing smile makes brain remember the muscle movement and bring out a natural smile. Helped me so much fr.
That's right, I started to practice in front of my mirror and now I feel more comfortable and cute in my photos
Just adding very quickly, I think V neck and square neck (love love square neck) look super flattering on smaller chested girls!
Every time people took a photo of me I ended up looking pretty dang homeless so this helps a lot 😭😭😭
Ahhh where was this video when I had to take graduation photos!! 😭😭
This could be a bit weird or hard to make but could you possibly make a video on how to get the best nails for you? Like colour shape length etc
I recently got my nails done and I love the colour but feel like it doesn’t suit me 😔
I love this channel so much. It makes me feel so good . Thank you for existing♡
Can you please make a video about nose shapes .it has been difficult for me to pose with my nose shape
The best beauty channel to exist in yt 💗
Thank you so much peachy, this is so useful. I am aware of the lens distortion thing but not really deep so that's why idk how to control it properly. And as an Exo-l, I'll always laugh when Sehun is used for example as bad at selfie bc it's true lol
We constantly compare ourselves with celebrities...but we don't realize that they do all these things all the time to look so perfect......otherwise they are just like us...
Now i understand all,but i need a good photographer 💀
10:05 there is a mistake in the english subtitles, just letting you know!
I can't thank you enough for this smile section. I'm over 30 still struggle with smiling. My smile look forced. Never take pictures with my mouth closed.
How I wish that in every tutorial for this kind of thing they would use examples of ugly people, un-photogenic or not conventionally pretty so we actually see them work with regular people :///
You posted exactly what I needed 💗 Thank you for the tips 🥰
Quite difficult to follow with a really bad side profile lol. Unfortunately I think this tutorial didn’t help me that much.
22:16 THE STRAIGHT GUY SELFIE OFMAOOO
These tips are deeply rooted in ridiculous beauty standards and idol obsession ...
A better tip would be: move away from the "social media obsessed world"
Literally tried to do a vertical smile but I physically couldn't do it!
22:30 but I wonder why I don't look like myself in the back camera pictures 🙃
I love your channel because the tips are helpful and fits asain faces like me!! i was wondering if you could make a video on how to do makeup on long faces ?
can you please make a video on how to dress according to body shapes? 🥺💜
When I try to move my cheek muscles in any way, the rest of my face moves with it and I physically can’t stop it
OMG THIS HELPED ME SMMMM THANK YOU
Omg the distortion part was really helpful I couldn’t understand why my selfies looked so off for the longest time 😅 I feel more confident now to take more photos
I have dead eyes when I smile.
This video is GOLD
i luf yoyr videos, they r really helpful for me 💗💗
the smile part my crooked teeth said no
Damn! Yesterday i was searching up how to be more photogenic, and lookie here! A video on how to be photogenic
i'm in front of the mirror trying to smile but I look like the joker
love the video though 💕
i needed this i always look bad in my friends photos and sometimes they dont post them, or if they do I feel like i look so so bad (I dont think I look bad I just think that i could look better in photos)
Please make a video on how to contour pear 😩face please🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 to make v shape 🥺🥺🥺..........
i love this channel so much
I WAS CRYING BECAUSE I LOOKED SO BAD IN SELFIES but the lens distortion thing totally changed my life im so grateful TYSMMM!!!!
PLS DO HOW TO DRESS FOR YOUR BODY TYPE HUHU
Well idk what's wrong with me before as a kid my pictures always turned out well as I grew up I got dark circles,my face look uncemetrical and I had a weird smile I got bullied for my year book or magazine pics and my magazine pics for this year just came out and I feel like imma get bullied again idk how to fix myself but maybe this vid will work?
Did it work?
i'm weak, not the straight guy selfie
I have an oval face, and because I lost a lot of weight, it lookds even more longer now. This has always been one of my biggest problems when taking photos, especially selfies, cus selfies make my face especially long. Could you give some advice on that? Like, I found that taking pics from afar works a bit better, but is there any other trick :/
I definitely smiled while seeing the diffuse smile pictures
I think the horizontal smile might suit me the most since when I tried doing that once someone told me I'm very photogenic! Which had never happened before
I'll definitely try the other ways
Great video!!
how long have i not open my camera and take selfie cause i look so ugly Looking at my pictures make me wnna cry
This is soo informative! I hope you can make more of these videos in the future!!! Love it
