so true. i have a mental breakdown everytime before going out, plus even if the makeup is on point and i (as always) don't know what to do with my hair , everything is ruined for me.
I have searched for a video like this for years! I am blessed with a very full head of thick hair and tried all kinds of hairstyles, but could never understand what worked for me. I am so grateful that you made this video
Your tips makes perfect sense. Now i understand why i think i look good in certain hairstyles and why my friends recommed certain hairstyles for my square face... looking forward for more
I used to side part until I realized I have delicate wispy baby hairs around my temples. I used to do side parts on my right side way too much when I was child/teenager that it started thinning a bit. Now I do middle parts and I love them! It makes me look classy. It also makes my face look less round! I have an oval face shape but it tends to look more round due to my low hairline, especially at my temples where my baby hairs grow close to my eyebrows! I also still have chubby cheeks besides me being a slim person! I’m very ingenue! I never do sleek middle buns/ponytails because I have a low cranium and plus, sleek looks are not flattering on me. I need hair to frame my face :) Usually I keep my hair down. Updos/down dos aren’t my favorite but if I had to choose one, I would do a updo with side bangs or two pieces hanging down on my face!

I am amazed because yesterday I was searching for videos to add volume to my hair via parting techniques. I searched for your channel which is a reference for me and today you posted this video. 🙏🏼
i’m aware this channel is mainly centered around east asian beauty so obviously curly/coily hair isn’t really focused on or taken in consideration since not many east asians have really curly/coily hair (as well as straight hair being more of the beauty standard over there) so i’m not offended or upset but as a a girl with afro curly/coily hair, i wish there was tips and examples like these but for my hair type (and black cultural hairstyles) but this video was still helpful nonetheless, ill try to find ways to included these tips without having to straighten my hair :) if anyone has any channel/video recommendations that gives tips on how to style my curly/coily hair based on my face shape/structure that’d be cool edit: wording
Im sure you ll find a youtube channel dedicated for curly afro mixed race hairstyles. Just search for 3C, 4A, 4B & 4C hair types. As you said this channel is mainly for ASIANs since it follows Asian influencers. And im glad there is a youtube channel for us
@@Chawaniii i apologize if it came off as if i was shaming her or saying it was a bad thing that this channel is centered around east asians. It’s definitely not a bad thing and it makes sense given that the creator is EA and the knowledge she shares is rooted from there and EA beauty standards. I’m glad that you guys get this representation. i definitely could’ve worded it better, i don’t expect peachie to include tips for my hair type since she most likely has no knowledge about it and that’s perfectly okay and realistic given her environment. I still find her content really helpful. i should’ve worded it like, i wish there was content out there for afro/curly hairstyles in the context of different face shape and structure, similar to peachies approach btw i tried searching that up but i mainly just see videos applying to loose curls and/or they don’t get as detailed but thank you for trying to help :)
Tag me also, for example I have curly hair but I want to do something like curtain bangs since it would suit me but I don’t know how to achieve that effect without straightening..😓
Before reading, please not that I know that you know that this channel doesn’t have bad intentions regarding to that. Tbh it isn’t a big deal at all. The video was really helpful regardless, since all you need to know is if your face shape can suit the hair parts. Then if it doesn’t but you still want to achieve a middle part, you only need to add volume to your hair (so now you can just watch a vid about how to add more volume to type 3/4 which would suit your face depending on the advice given. EDIT ex: “I need to add more volume to the sides of my head so I should puff out the sides of my roots accordingly”.(Tbh I think it’s self explanatory why they didn’t give much attention on that since curly/coils hair is already much more voluminous or at least, much easier to add volume.) TLDR: You don’t need the people to tell you what to do if you have x features, since most of the time, you can take the initiative like I did with my type 4 hair. Bc of that, I think this channel is more than helpful enough most of the time. You don’t need to find ppl with the same features to understand how it works, really 🤷🏾♀️
As a child I used to wear a middle part as it was in fashion. I hate my pictures from that period of time. I have a high forehead and my face isn't perfectly symmetrical. Then as a teenager I discovered the side part and it literally changed my life. I started really liking myself and looking good. And now, me, 35yrs old...finding out at the beginning of 2024 that side part isn't cool and it's only for old people. What? Why would I go back to my worse nightmare...And so funny warching gen z thinking they invented the middle part...Life is so weird. Also imagine I only realised now in 2024 that the middle part is a thing lol. I don't like it on myself and most of people. Some people look good though. I think you need to have a perfect face, perfect forehead, symmetrical face...otherwise it doesn't look good, I don't like it anyway.
😮 dont believe this!! im 18 years old and i see people wearing both , i have bangs but im trying to switch to side part because i feel its more stylish and makes me look more feminine. rock your side part !!
Same! I started to part my hair to the side when I was 13 and never went back! The whole emo scene happened so side parts were in. Then a few years ago I heard the same thing, that side parts are for old people and middle parts are the thing now. So I thought to try a middle part again (with bangs still of course) and I did a couple years ago. It looks ok sometimes but after watching this, I realize my true calling is some kind of side part ratio. My face is a little asymmetrical so back to side parts I go! I never should have left.
Gen z feels like they invented everything that existed way before they were born, like middle parting or flared jeans or small handbags. So don't feel bad for yourself, do what makes you feel the most comfortable and ignore that delusional generation. They're not worth it.
Dear peachie, this and many of your other videos have truly changed my life. I am a millennial and my childhood in the 2000s was full of people CONSTANTLY making me feel bad my appearance because I looked unruly. Thank you for teaching me that it's all about the technique and that it has nothing to do with me not being "pretty enough". I am truly glowing up in the way I sincerely want (and not how others suggest). Your videos are truly the best and most informative and every growing girl should watch them. Never stop being you ❤
OMG TYSM FOR POSTING THIS I JS WASHED MY HAIR AND I NEEDED THIS TYSM!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ OKAY SO I MADE A CUP OF TEA AND I DECIDED TO DO A MIDDLE PART AND I LOOK SM BETTER WHAT????
I’m in my 40’s and I have worn my hair long, straight, and parted in the middle my entire life. It’s never in or out of style. No matter what picture you see of me throughout my life, you would never be able to guess what year it was taken. lol. In reality I only do it because it’s quick, easy, and always looks somewhat put together. 😂
Millenial here. I’ve been wearing my hair side part since high school early 2000s when I discovered my wavy hair looked best that way. I have wavy thick* hair and a petite face. If I wear my hair with a middle part it makes my face look even more narrow and gaunt and hides so much of my face. I just can’t stand hair in my face. If I wear it to the side, more of my face is seen and looks so much better. But even too much hair on one side of my face can be annoying at times. If I heat style it, straightened looks best with middle part but still hides most of my face. Which I don’t like. Eventually I will part it to the side after the 2nd day. I usually have my hair in a high bun. Then when I take it down wearing a side part there’s volume and pretty tamed waves from the bun and looks pretty cascading. I am always amazed at how a middle part looks so good on other girlies, they pull it off so well.
Facial symmetry is very rare. If your eyes and cheeks appear the same size, you can wear any part. If you have one side of your face that appears larger than other, part on the “large” side.

I loveeee your channel!!!
Reba on the thumbnail ^_^❤
So... my face is oval shaped. When I smile, my cheeks and buccal fat is visible. My forehead size is normal. My hairline is irregular. Which parting might be best for me?
Hey I would washing if you could do a video on igari makeup like how to do it or what kind of facial features would match well because I want to try it out but I’m not sure I’ll do good if it doesn’t match me

Please do a video on low cranial top!
Having an oblong face shape (with high forehead), no middle part for me...
Thank you peachie ❤
can you recommend a skincare product for beginers plss i love your vids❤
Id love to try a middle part but i have a big nose. That seems to be my issue. It makes my features look very harsh.
I normaly go for a 6:4 sidepart, deeper than that and it looks like I'm getting bald, and middle parts make me look like a little boy...
if i have a heart shaped face and hairline, should i use a middle part? my face is a bit assimetrycal so idk if it would make this stand out. i also have high visual weight and overall features
