This song is basically the Emo Anthem, and just about all of us who were in high school in the mid- to late-2000s loved this song with a passion at one point or another. And we still do.

I don’t know if anyone will read this.
I have never heard this song or seen this video. But as a European, watching these young men sing, I broke down in in tears. It was the rage of the young of my people who have been cheated by the system. The broken who will carry on, with the hopes of their dying warrior ancestors riding on their shoulders.
God bless the twins for exploring all this wonderful music and bringing us together.

this song is on my chemical romance's third album "the black parade" (2006). the whole album is a rock opera, it tells the story of the patient and how he reflects on his life after he dies. mcr challenged contemporary mainstream music at the time and were extremely unique, from the nuance in their lyrics to the loud guitar solos. i'm happy that you both enjoyed listening to this iconic song! :)
a user called "ro H" commented earlier, and as a fellow canadian i wanted to comment and recommend the song "new orleans is sinking" (1989) by the tragically hip. gord downie, singer-songwriter in 'the hip', passed in 2017 from cancer. gord downie was larger than life and had a lot of love for canada. i think it would be fantastic if the tragically hip's music continued to reach across the world and bring people together to celebrate life, and enjoy good music

Witnessing the World Trade Center towers fall influenced Way's life to the extent that he decided to start a band." It makes their music make a lot of sense to me.

I just discovered this group of passionate, talented young men 5/2024 while watching a video of a drummer named Sam Arrow who was performing "Mr. Brightside" with drums only. Sam also performed drums only the song "My Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance. My Chemical Romance is one helluva a band. I myself have not heard of this amazing group. I'm very happy I was fortunate enough to find My Chemical Romance thanks to the talented, passionate drummer Mr. Sam Arrow. This song hit me hard. It's beautifully done. It brought up some intense memories. This song reached into my soul! The passion and energy these young men put into this amazing song is very impressive! I know nothing of these gentlemen I have definitely become a fan of My Chemical Romance! I definitely will be purchasing their music. I will play it loud enough to make the pictures on my walls vibrate and wait for the police to come & ask me to please lower the volume. I wish this band nothing but success and the recognition, respect they've (IMO) earned!! Guys thanks for this strong, uplifting, sent chills through me, soul reaching, heart pounding, emotionally woke me up! Kick ass song! I wish I'd found this treasure of a song/band sooner. But I'm here now. I will carry in my soul "My Black Parade" and the feeling I got when I first heard it! Peace to us all in a time of strife where hate, intolerance, greed, violence, hunger, racism and the thought of war are ever present. Praying for the broken, hurting, lonely souls who have lost their way may they stumble, crawl, limp, run upon a path of hope, light, forgiveness and the strength to find a new way home and kick the past in it's a**! Take my hand and we'll walk side by side...if you tire I'll carry you! And your broken heart in my pocket. If the words in a song ever gave me hope this is that song! The power of the human spirit and it's courage to heal is heaven sent🎶🙏

I've heard MCR called "Queen Day", and it definitely fits, especially as MCR cites both groups as major influences. Brian May has even played with them a couple of times, and said that Gerard Way's musicality and stage presence reminded him of Freddie, who is one of Way's biggest heroes. That's some serious "praise from Caesar" shit.
