The entire album is amazing cover to cover.
How is that nuts? Led Zeppelin albums are still relevant after 40-50 years. Granted MCR are by no means Led Zeppelin level and never will be, but they still were popular enough to have lifelong fans. @@kuroishiofficial yeah for sure, we all show him now Demolisher by Slaughter to Prevail, Lorna shore Immortal / Flesh coffin, infant annihilator. We need to do it slowly and carefully, we don't want to scare him.
I hated chemical romance back in their day, but it does remind of those better times... Kinda like Collective Soul, the music takes me back to a better era in my life even though I thought the music sucked.
Honestly, just do a whole album reaction. Each song fits better and better in the context of the whole album, which I believe is a modern masterpiece, to the likes of Queen's "A Night at the Opera" and Pink Floyd's "The Wall." The album is about a Cancer Patient, "The Patient," who is reflecting on his life and is contemplating what his afterlife is going to be like. The Whole Marching band thing is his biggest memory of going to see a Marching band as a kid, so that's how Death has come to greet him. It's a great, front-to-back album with a lot of different pacings, and an abundance of absolute energy packed rockers throughout.
Unpopular opinion : It's worth noting that this album is amazing, cover to cover, and would be their best had they not released the Danger Days concept album that somehow managed to be more mature than The Black Parade.
@@ScottLovenberg Besides the last part, That's a very popular opinion amongst fans. I very much enjoy Danger Days, but I don't feel that it is more "mature" per se. I feel that the concept and execution of TBP is their pinnacle, and that the content they are Handling, such as in the song "Cancer," is done very well. Almost every person I've seen listen to that song has some connection because they hit it so well and made it very relatable. I feel the whole concept of Death and the Afterlife in TBP is a far more adult and heavier topic to deal with; with the manner they carried "restrained" anger throughout the album from "The Patient's" life, and bring it all to an end in "Disenchanted" and "Famous Last Words" is the prime example of what I've been explaining thus far. The patient's acceptance of his fate displays their own maturity, as they show in their musicality, and their restraint of the whole angry rock/metal vibe they had carried in the majority of the Album. Again, I love Danger Days still, but I don't feel like it hits as "mature" in my opinion. I believe the musical style seemed too experimental and "pop-like" in several songs, to be truly considered as a mature album. I think that the whole "Protectionist" vibe they have in many songs such as "Save Yourself...." is a very mature concept, but It doesn't seem to carry as well and as heavy/relatable as the overall concepts in TBP. "Only Hope.." is in my mind, the most adult song on the list simply because it feels like a "shoot your shot" kind of message at the beginning, and rolls into a nice and sweet song about a relationship. For sake of conversation, we may not agree on which album Is sonically the best, primarily because we may have different tastes slightly, but I will stand by my point of TBP being the more Mature album, with sonically better execution and messaging. (Besides "sleep" because that is just a wall of sound, but that wall of sound is even deep by the patient's subconscious telling him to "Wake up" while being drowned out by the wall of sound.)

Siebe_13 mate this was/is the all time emo anthem. Atleast it was back in the day, brings out the inner emo in me from 15 years ago 😂
Nostalgia init 😂
I mean I was a huge Emo teen and I prefered old MCR, the black parade is when I stopped listening to them.
THE GHOST OF YOU. YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE GHOST OF YOU.
God I love this song
OMFG yessssssssss
Listen to the audio bliss
I came to the comments section just to say this. Absolutely yes. I think he would love the theatrics alongside the music!
Ghost of you is one of the many great songs by them!
This song holds a big place in my heart, i was a very depressed teen and just hearing someone tell me to carry on probably helped a lot looking back.
Same along with "Darlin' You'll be OK" I wrote that in all my notebooks during high school. This song and Hold on Till May by Pierce The Veil really helped through a lot of tough times.
See this is why you are my favorite “react” cuz even if it wasn’t a favorite, you respect the song and assess it like any other and still “pass” it when you recognize that it’s good. Plus your face when you get into a rift or chord is just priceless ❤️
Im pretty sure he passes every song
Im Tehx I haven’t seen all of his videos yet so I can’t confirm or deny. If he trashes any, I’ll let you know
@@imtehx9798 He trashed Avenged Sevenfold - A Little Piece Of Heaven
Yo @thethirdernest appreciates songs for the the musicality at well! Both some of the best reactors!
Matthew Christofferson ooo I’ll have to check them out too :) thanks!
The singer makes comic books for DC now and it was made into a Netflix series and it's dope af. The Umbrella Academy is crazy, can't wait for season 2.
Same bro
Same(2)
Damn i wonder how wierd will be to come back to music and doing 2 things multy talented
What I'm wondering is are they going to bring back the original actors half way through season 2 or just 3
Wait, he really made Umbrella academy? I love that show but didn't realize Gerard made the comic, holy shit that's crazy!
Every emo is singing along to this.
Im really sure.
Im a 100% sure.
I definitely am
It's the Bohemian Rhapsody of the Emo genre, so I have heard.
I'm Not an emo but I always sing along when I hear this and alot of their other songs

And if you go back farther, the Beatles did this concept of piecing songs together with A Day in the Life.
I’ll take it

You should definitely react to my chemical romance: Helena
In my opinion one of there best songs yet
Bruh your a fake mcr fan if u think thats thier best i say im not ok is better
Helena is the best, but all of their songs r good 🤙
random stuff im not okay is not their best in my opinion. the best (in my opinion) from each album: BULLETS- Drowning Lessons REVENGE- Fashion Statement BLACK PARADE- Famous Last Words DANGER DAYS- Kids from Yesterday
@@modifidious everyone is entitled to their opinion, grow up
TEAM SHONEN famous last words or I’m not okay
this album is actually strongly influenced by queen. bohemian rapsody for example has also such transitions that lead the song in a completely different direction
As well as Pink Floyd's The Wall. The opening track on both it and Black Parade are very similar as well as that both are concept albums
Who wasn't influenced by Queen?
@@Talex-vu4iu A lot of bands/musicians
@@Talex-vu4iu mindless self indulgence's "frenkinstein girls will seem very sexy" is an example, but yeah there are a lot of artists/ bands weren't influenced by queen
It also has a bit of System of a Down vibe at one point in the song.
I would highly recommend listening to the whole Black Parade album. The whole album is set with songs that flow into each other and form one complete song that tells the story of the "patient" who is the character shown here, dying from cancer, as he comes to grips with his own mortality.
The entire album is amazing cover to cover.
The worst part about it the end.
Not to be confused with the song The End
It’s arguably the last great rock opera.
Its kind of out of order though no? I thought the wendigoon chronological order made the most sense to me
It's nuts how The Black Parade album is still relevant after a decade.
Muhaimin Zulkarnain they brought it back
And ... it’ll carry on.... carry on...
proof they're legend
How is that nuts? Led Zeppelin albums are still relevant after 40-50 years. Granted MCR are by no means Led Zeppelin level and never will be, but they still were popular enough to have lifelong fans. Not me personally, because this is the only song I like by them, but I can't deny how big they were.
Probably because the themes are fairly eternal - life, loss, death, hope
LayedBak if you do more MCR, I'm here for ALL of it. Fire Squad WWWWW.
i love how he was instantly hooked by gerards voice
“Turn it back up” 😂
We are collectively turning him into a full on metal head 😂

@@Soraey lmao that's how I slowly convert my friends

This song brings me back to memories that are just indescribable
I hated chemical romance back in their day, but it does remind of those better times... Kinda like Collective Soul, the music takes me back to a better era in my life even though I thought the music sucked.
curtis c yea honestly they’re garbage to me besides this song. This is just legendary in its own way.
Oh my days, same mate
Same!!!
@@cameronbowshlagger2722 well articulated response. I think you may have changed my mind on the maturity between the two albums.
Scott Lovenberg and Bobert Bubkis Just wanted to pop in to say that your responses to each other made me smile : )
