What's up man, been watching ypur videos for a while now. Great content. Im starting us foods in a few days. Any advice on the training process and i hear the beginning of my routes on my own will be a crazy schedule, being on call and all. Any info on this. Much appreciated. Thanks for the content. putting 6x10s side by side on the bottom of the dolly makes the trailer empty a lot faster and you don't really feel the extra weight as much because of how the cart balances out
I do miss my hand truck when I was at Gordon. It had disc brakes, which made it heavy. But having disc brakes made all the difference when going down that ramp when it was raining outside
Having brakes is a MUST for me! Some drivers call it being handicapped, I call it being safe than sorry. The extra little weight is a plus for me because although it helps extort more momentum going down the ramp, finding the “sweet spot” when leaning the hand truck back then applying brakes when needed makes it easier to control for me
I didn’t see you dig for not one case bro, I worked at Sysco in philly for a year we had to dig everyday they will have multiple different cases for multiple different stops on a pallet and you have to dig and find cases it’s a nightmare. Thinking about going to US foods
This video is me at my last stop for the day bro so no digging was necessary. We do have to dig a lot but if I’m being honest I don’t think we dig as much as you guys at Sysco. Come on over bro
Just got a job at Shamrock foods on my third week now. Really enjoying it. Originally wanted to go to us foods because it's closer to my house but they needed 3 months experience 🤷♂️
@TayTheLocalTrucker I'm not too sure yet I'm liking Shamrocks pay structure and I don't want to go to US foods just to do the training process again you know?
I’m still training, but when I’m stacking, I’ll make a couple good stacks and then a bad one. Do you think it’s quicker to unstack it or just run it in? I’m guessing it just depends on how bad this stack is
That’s a good question bro. If I happen to make a bad stack (because it will happen from time to time) instead of remaking the stack to roll it in, I’ll roll it in and down stack it in a neat manner so it’s standing and customer can get to it.
@@MichiganMan12368 I've noticed 2 hand trucks are nice for elevator stops one supper stack in and leave the dolly than build a bunch of small stacks around with the second dolly and one last supper stack before going up
I’m a driver helper for PFG in Chicago I enjoy what I do

Shamrock is a pretty good company from what I’ve heard. Are you planning on switching once you get enough experience.

Yoo good video bro!! Do you think you can do a video on what it’s like to work for a company with a union?
No problem bro…stay locked for that one coming soon 🫡💯
Great stacking. We use lift gates on trailers and electric powered tractors in LA
Appreciate you bro! I use a lift gate only on Wednesdays due to a particular stop on my route.
Our ramp comes out on rollers. How did you take your ramp out like that
Most of our trailers don’t have the hydraulic roller attachments to them so they just come completely out of the sleeve

Depends on the router. Some stops can be 5 miles apart some can be 20
