Exactly bro! Great point about stacking and working smart. I see guy’s stacking the entire trailer on one load 😂. Makes no sense. Going super heavy all of the time will definitely break your body down much faster than pushing moderate weight. It’s NOT a competition of who can move the most weight. That’s an ignorant mindset to have doing this type of work.
Yessir you said it best right there, an ignorant mindset! Guys think that whoever moves the heaviest load is ultimately the best driver as if they were competing in the gym. I don’t want to be one of those guys who say because of food service I can’t stand up straight. Appreciate the support bro as always.
Love this🙏🏼 I’m w GFS today I’ll finish my first week of training . Been w 3 different drivers and EVERYONE does things differently and at their own pace. I encountered a close call on slippery ramp w cheap Walmart shoes. That almost made me scared to keep stacking high. I switched shoes. Stretch and only take what I can handle. You still getting paid no matter what but saving 1 hour at most by risking your body AINT it. I’m in this for the long haul too ✊ stay safe bro!
Big facts bro!!! You have to be smart out here when it comes to food service. You’re already putting your body through the wringer so why force it even more? Those Walmart boots are TRASH and they are heavy! Get you some boots from the brand called Keen. I did a quick video on them, man they are love. And if you can’t find them, get some Timberland Pro. Stay safe my guy and best of luck to you on your food service journey!
I’m hoping to be in this for a long time as well. I have this nagging pain in my fingers, and I’m sure it’s from lifting cases at work. I’ve only been around 4 months so I’m hoping it will just go away in time…?
@@Antda1. yeah bro majority of the aches and pains will go away with time and your body getting acclimated to the job but I do encourage you to get things looked at if YOU feel as though the pain isn’t going away or unbearable
I have a love/hate relationship with Food service. One moment I hate it after 6 months to a year, go back on the road and then I start missing running cases again. I’ve been in and out of Food Service in my 7 years of trucking. I’m going back to PFG and this time I’m staying till I’m done trucking or working for someone else. I have a total of 2 years in food service and beverage so far.
Whats going on man. I was subscribed on a different channel, i decided to do what i actually like doing 😂 i hate food service I couldnt do videos on it. My trainer has been doing this for 20 years and still one of the fastest guys at our facility. He told me to make stacks that you can move fast with and leave on the floor. Ive been doing that ever since.
😂 appreciate the honesty, got to always do what you love dawg. We got a 29 year vet on our yard and he to is still fast. He has the same sentiment, take what you can move fast with

I was just about to ask if your state covers subways. Then I see you stacking subways cases. We do everyone one in Michigan. At least those are consistent with stacking and what exactly to look for
One of the worse things about being a new driver is getting crappy routes or being a “wild driver”. 3 months is a good sample size to see if you want to stick with it or not but I encourage you to try to make it to your divisions next route bid. A lot can happen between now and then and you may be able to select better routes. I starts off rough and sometimes seems like the crap doesn’t end but there are better days my man
LOL very true, Subways are simple due to their case size and ability to locate the items. I feel that way about Waffle House as well. As time goes on you will learn the cases to every stop you have and that all make the delivery easier
Bro don’t give up! I’m 5’8” and was 315lbs. I was sore everyday for 6 months. Dr recommended stretching or take steroid shots in my feet and knees. I just stretch everyday and eventually got used to the labor after 6 months! Honestly all routes are crappy until you run it consistently and get comfortable with it.
I just do single stack light hand trucks this crap spending 10 minutes building the perfect 400lb stacks I can run nice single stacks 2-3 maybe 4 by the time they get done with building the"perfect stack"
I only use the pallet jack for my pallet drop stop at the hospital. I don’t pull a trailer with a liftgate except for on Wednesdays so I’m always breaking down pallets and rolling cases down the ramp
I currently deliver liquor. And I’m looking to join us food soon. Appreciate the content. Your videos keep me moving through out the day. Salute
That’s dope my guy, appreciate you tuning in. I’m going to keep them coming and hope to hear that you transition over to USF soon
@@TayTheLocalTrucker Hey. Do you bring 2k a week?
I gross $1900+ a week, on a slower week $1800
