Helheim really delivered on its emotional beats. When Atreus goes "Fen? That you?" and he just runs up to him, happily cuddling... it just melted my heart. I sobbed so unexpectedly because the opening had already hurt me. Man... it's wild.
The power to tear open the boundaries between realms was part of Garm's body. The game made sure to establish early on that creatures with blank, white eyes do not possess a soul, and they make sure to show you with some of the close-up shots prior to and during the battles with Garm that his eyes are clearly the same as the soulless animals you encountered during your time in Jotunheim.
What's great about this is if you watch when Fenrir dies in the beginning and Atreus casts the spell, for a brief moment, you can see one of the four parts of Fenrirs soul enter the knife

Just saw it, but when Atreus says "See what I can do when you trust me ?" Kratos nods a bit, silently aknowledging that yes, Atreus does stuff that are efficient, especially since garm powers are really important for Ragnarök
in the old etticas of norse mythology that existed 3 wolves fen garm and a third unknown with garm gaurding hels gate fen stuck under asgard and the third i believe chained in a forest however its speculated that garm the god of wolves and fen and the 3rd wolf are the same wolf
4:40 Garm didn’t *have* a soul (because he was a hellhound), so the powers he had could only be tied to the body. Same happened to Jormangandr, there wasn’t a soul in the snake to “overwrite”, it was just an empty shell
Yes, in the myths Loki gives birth to Sleipnir, the eight-legged horse that is ridden by Odin. Also, in this game, "Hel" is the giant bird that is in Helheim called Hræsvelgr.
I don’t know if anyone notice but if you go back to when fenrir dies there were four bits of his soul I believe and all four go down to atreus’s knife then three remain after one went in his knife
4:47 - If I remember correctly, Garm didn't have a soul to begin with. That's why the spell worked in the first place. Apologies if I'm misremembering, but I think that was the case
The reason for why Fenrir was able to use Garm's power is because Garm's power are tied to his body, since Garm never had a soul, it's said in the game that he was souless, that's why Atreus thought of putting Fenrir's soul in Garm'sbody, because there was a possibility of it working.
The reason why the powers were still there after Fenrir soul was incorporated because Garm itself had no soul. Nothing changed only that now, it does have a soul which is Fenrir
In this case it’s the body, because when you look at Garm’s eyes they’re the same as the eyes of the animals after Angorboda’s grandma removes their souls. They’re dead and lifeless. So Garm never had a soul he was just a mindless force of nature
It's a wonder how the 'biggest' streamers or youtubers have little to no reaction At least Charlie tends to talk about stuff or givethought fromt ime to time, not 100% dead
if You noticed, the power would have been with Garm's Body, because Garm didn't have a soul, and thats why it wouldn't die, which is why Atreus was able to put Fen within Garm's body
Garm was a soulless being, which is why it was able to come alive even after death many times. That’s why even after death it still had its power, and after gaining fenrir’s soul it kept the powers of Garm. Garm is the name of the monster, but now Garm has the soul of Fenrir, fenrir is ‘piloting’ Garm now.
5:08 During the battle It was describe that Garm seemingly had no soul So odds are the soul was weak or Garm simply had no soul to begin with, that’s why after killing Garm, it always came back to fight Now that the body has a soul, it could theoretically kill but also now it has the powers of the body itself
Another element people forget, but the game does cover is we don't know whose soul is inside Jorumy. Big snake was big at Thor before they even fought, so it was a Giant who HATED Thor.

4:36 Gram doesn't have a Soul that is the reason they weren't able to kill him (you can hear that in there conversation), thus Gram was an empty vessel with the power to tear the realm linked to his body...
And, thus, the Evillest Word Ripping Doggo becomes the Goodliest World Ripping Doggo.
Fenrir is the goodest boy!
Yes he is
Alternatively kratos takes Fenrir to meet sindri.
Atreaus "hey sindri I got a puppy"
Sindri looks outside takes one look at Fenrir and passes out
Just saw it, but when Atreus says "See what I can do when you trust me ?" Kratos nods a bit, silently aknowledging that yes, Atreus does stuff that are efficient, especially since garm powers are really important for Ragnarök
garm dosen't have a soul that's why he kept coming back to life when you killed him.
in the old etticas of norse mythology that existed 3 wolves fen garm and a third unknown with garm gaurding hels gate fen stuck under asgard and the third i believe chained in a forest however its speculated that garm the god of wolves and fen and the 3rd wolf are the same wolf
This game took us through an emotional roller-coaster... WHO'S A GOOD DOG? FEN IS A GOOD DOG!!!!
4:40 Garm didn’t *have* a soul (because he was a hellhound), so the powers he had could only be tied to the body.
Same happened to Jormangandr, there wasn’t a soul in the snake to “overwrite”, it was just an empty shell
I just noticed that the spot on Fenrir's eye looks like either a backwards 6 or a upside down 9
Yes, in the myths Loki gives birth to Sleipnir, the eight-legged horse that is ridden by Odin.
Also, in this game, "Hel" is the giant bird that is in Helheim called Hræsvelgr.
I don’t know if anyone notice but if you go back to when fenrir dies there were four bits of his soul I believe and all four go down to atreus’s knife then three remain after one went in his knife
Garm was a monster. He had no soul till Atreus gave him one.
4:47 - If I remember correctly, Garm didn't have a soul to begin with. That's why the spell worked in the first place. Apologies if I'm misremembering, but I think that was the case
Fenir looking at Atreus like he’s in love
It stated by Atreus that Garm seem to not have a soul of his own so when he put Fenrir in him, it like pour water in an empty bottle
Atreus: "It’s like he has no soul to kill"
Fenrir’s soul: “Allow me to introduce myself"
You forget, Garm is a soulless entity.
It's how Atreus came up with the idea of putting a soul into Garm.
Let's be honest everybody cried early on in the game when the small fenrir died
Lost 2 dogs in my life. Oh yeah I cried. Then proceeded to hug my 3rd dog.
The reason for why Fenrir was able to use Garm's power is because Garm's power are tied to his body, since Garm never had a soul, it's said in the game that he was souless, that's why Atreus thought of putting Fenrir's soul in Garm'sbody, because there was a possibility of it working.
i think the body had the power cuz when aterus released garm he was wrecking havoc opening portals to different places
I think the reason why is cuz garm didn’t have a soul it was just a corpse so the powers were tied to the body
I love the fact at this point in the game, lots of other streamers had at least one piece lundas armor on
The biggest good boy.
Moist by far has the best reaction by not reacting
It's a wonder how the 'biggest' streamers or youtubers have little to no reaction
At least Charlie tends to talk about stuff or givethought fromt ime to time, not 100% dead
I like Moist's videos and when he talks about interesting stuff, but i wouldn't watch his gameplays.
@@gray01216 Ya same, I love moist man but I wouldn't watch his gameplay, unless it's a horror game coz it's funny. lol
if You noticed, the power would have been with Garm's Body, because Garm didn't have a soul, and thats why it wouldn't die, which is why Atreus was able to put Fen within Garm's body
In this game garm is said to have no soul which is what makes killing the hel-hound impossible.
4:55 Garm had no soul, thats why Atreus mamaged to place Fenrirs soul into Garms body
I don't think garm had a soul in the first place that's why atreus could put fenrirs soul into the body in the first place
🎉to be honest i cried at fenrirs death but i almost cried again when he got revived
4:40 Yes, but it's mentioned that garm never had a sound to begin with, therefore his powers were connected to his physical body
I'm just glade fenrir gets revived and isn't dieing any more he's a good boy😊
Garm was a soulless being, which is why it was able to come alive even after death many times. That’s why even after death it still had its power, and after gaining fenrir’s soul it kept the powers of Garm. Garm is the name of the monster, but now Garm has the soul of Fenrir, fenrir is ‘piloting’ Garm now.
There's just 1 thing your forgetting narrator : Garn is a Soulless Hel-hound...No Soul for it to be tied to.
5:08
During the battle
It was describe that Garm seemingly had no soul
So odds are the soul was weak or Garm simply had no soul to begin with, that’s why after killing Garm, it always came back to fight
Now that the body has a soul, it could theoretically kill but also now it has the powers of the body itself
Another element people forget, but the game does cover is we don't know whose soul is inside Jorumy. Big snake was big at Thor before they even fought, so it was a Giant who HATED Thor.
When I saw this for the first time I guest and yelled puppy.
