It really annoys me how much they’re trying to neuter kratos. Him not committing genocide anymore is nice. But trying to make him not kill his enemies is dumb and making him get all upset about getting rid of potential problems. The 2018 game understood that. They made a lot of changes to kratos but didnt change what made people love the franchise in the first place

5:12 I like they left a little bit of a blooper in this scene. Kratos misses grabbing the horn the first time and then snatches it off Heimdall's belt out of frustration. That wasn't in the script, Christopher Judge just missed grabbing it when they filmed the motion capture. After the director yelled cut Judge apologized and said he would get it cleanly on the next take. The director said no they were keeping that one, as it played to Kratos being a little messed up by killing Heimdall when he didn't want to and being called "monster" again.
It’s not a blooper scene, it’s to show how him killing the person the prophecy said he would eventually kill is messing with his mind. Kratos is mentally precise and fully in control throughout both the games, although now his mind is being flooded with doubts due to him fulfilling the prophecy. It’s more of a subtle nod at what Kratos’ mind is at more than a blooper
@@SoulKing0448 Yes it did all of those things, but Kratos missing the horn the first time wasn't in the script, nor was Christopher Judge given that idea by the director. The missing of the horn just happened during a take, the director liked it because it would feed into the story and so they kept that take. After they finished filming that scene Christopher Judge apologized for missing it the first time and said he would get cleanly on the next take.
Blooper might not be the best description for it. Maybe more of an "accidental adlib" that worked for the scene.

I like how heimdall calls kratos a monster only after looking into his mind with his byfrost eyes, he might not have even known kratos was the Ghost of Sparta until that very moment
And he didn’t know it until Mimir said “this isn’t who you want to be” and memories of all his past actions must’ve come flooding back to Kratos

Heimdall committed one of the classic mistakes in an armed physical conflict:
1) Never get involved in a land war is Asia.
2) Don't f**k with America's boats. (There are many examples as to why not. But the most famous is what happened to Japan a few years after Pearl Harbor.)
3) Threaten to kill the "Boy" in front of Kratos.

But sometimes less is more and you can tell he's trying too hard, especially for a game like Ragnarok.

one of the biggest things I loved about this game was how many crossroads both atreaus and Kratos faced on this final journey together in the Norse realm because Kratos kept trying to avoid being the person he used to be only to end up turning back into that person periodically (usually when it involved Atreaus being threatened) and Atreaus wanting to know what it meant to be Loki to the point that despite declaring he was not trying to follow but break prophecy he ended up following fate's path almost to a T and still thinking he was battling it and as we all saw it usually led to tragic consequences

Why do I kind of feel bad for Heimdal I mean imagine knowing everyone is true intentions when is the drive you insane and make you a jack ass I mean it is kind of relatable but still the things he did work kind of unforgivable and it was pretty much asking for it but honestly he’s one of my favourite characters mainly because I like the powers he has one I think he’s bad ass bud do you know the most jackass characters of the coolest powers yet the biggest ego

The reason why Heimdall lost to Kratos is very simple... For years no one had been able to hurt him and when you spend so much time like this you feel untouchable.And when Kratos punches him, Heimdall goes crazy and fights angrily.
The reason he landed a hit on Heimdall is because he intentionally fastened his hits so that his senses would become overwhelmed and Heimdall wouldn't be able to anticipate it because Heimdall is untouchable because his power is that he can read minds
