Finally someone who isn’t saying that the people trying to help is the only wrong, yes they didn’t have the right to do what they did but the owner is worse, he’s putting lives at risk by selling expired products and it’s clear he doesn’t care and proved that he will lie to authorities and too their face and then mock the ones who called, plus he let it slip that he may have a racial problem, people say that his slip means many things but their were only what 2-3 skin colors in that store at the time, he clearly meant the female he had the cops detain and her ethnicity group,

Nearly everyone involved in this was in the wrong in some form or another, first the people putting the tags on the food, just call the health inspector its anonymous and would have closed the store down, second by tampering with the food they open themselves up to lawsuits since it could now be argued that they put said food there. The owner clearly for selling the food, and while calling ICE is a dick move with intent to intimidate is not illegal, Ice overstepping after being court ordered is a whole other can of worms. Realistically what should happen is the owner gets closed down, fined and possible jail time for selling expired food and putting th he public at risk, and the people putting the signs up get deported at least legally speaking so lose/lose for everyone.

They just didn’t care so to answer your question not necessarily, and it sounds bad that some people never bothered to learn to read English, but they’re plenty of people with learning difficulties in English, who are Americans and our ex generation Americans, and unfortunately have learning disabilities that do not allow them to read, I went to school with a kid who never learned to read because he was dyslexic. I’m also dyslexic, but the difference between me and him was I was gonna be damned if I was going to let what they said about me be true or take route. I’m sorry I’m using voice to text and I cannot fix it because my fingers don’t work but like I said that’s the difference. He never learn to read or right I not only learn to read and write, but I can publish the book once upon a time so when they said, I’d never learn to read much less right properly they got that wrong and I was gonna show them. Yeah if someone buys expired food because they're too stupid or lazy to read eat or sell by dates then that's their own damn fault. Fun fact food is almost always good for about a week past a sell by date, and about a month if kept frozen until used.
I bought beef jerky once from a Wallgreens when I was out past midnight once. It was like 2 years expired. When I grabbed the first piece and saw an absolutely insane amount of mold I went back in to let the employees know. I didn't complain or even ask for a refund, just wanted to make sure they knew and were aware so someone else who is far less calm and collected didn't have the same issue and snap at them. They not only gave me a refund but 2 extra packs that were delivered early that day, and a bottle of hand sanitizer all at no cost. 😆

This short doesn't really give the context. The store owner was on trial for selling expired products, and he called ICE to get rid of the witness to his crime. ICE was told to wait until after the trial because immigration can't be used to intimidate witnesses, but they went about it anyway, even when the judge asked him to leave the courtroom. So, while you could argue he has the right to call ICE he did it to escape the law not protect it, and ICE by not waiting for the trial to be over was protecting this criminal because he exploited immigrants.
