Joyce should've gotten an extra 10 years for aggravated stupidity.
Honestly. She's a fuckin loser
But Joyce has the complexion for protection 😉
Don't forget Gene !
She deserved 10 years! So did the prison guard.
She would, literally, have to STUDY to get any f***ing dumber.
I live in Dannemora. What a scary time this was for us. There's a siren that was supposed to go off if an inmate escapes, but it never went off. Road blocks, helicopters, and we were scared. What a horrid June that was. Thx for re-telling it so well.
That sounds incredibly frightening and unsettling. The experience must have been very distressing for you and your community.
Same thing happened to us when that pick axe killer escape from a prison bus in Texas a while back. My woman works right of the same highway some miles down the road. I was terrified picking her up and dropping her off until they finally caught him. He ended up getting that family grandparents and grandchildren. It was definitely a scary time for everyone around.
You know you're bad when prisons don't even want you.
“they looked like they had secrets they’d only share with your corpse” 😳 I’ve never heard that expression before!
Good ole Irish sayings we have so many it's just great
@@grainnelambert881
is “Manson lamps” an Irish thing? Because I swear I never heard it anywhere other than That Chapter but I’m also ignorant
@@CantTellYouwell, considering Manson lamps refers to Charles mansons' crazy eyes, probably not.
@@CantTellYouNope, "Manson lamps" has been a saying in the US since back when Charles Manson ordered his group of flunkies to kill all those people back in 1969. In most of the photos & TV coverage, Charlie would give this crazy-ass stare to the cameras. Those dark, beady eyes were the "Manson lamps". I don't know who first coined the phrase, but it's sure gotten a lot of mileage. I've heard it all my life, & I'm getting mighty close to 60 years old. Ugh, it really hurt to type that, LOL. All the best to you. 😊
You’ll be ok. I know it.

"They were clearly banging..." . I love it!! Your sense of humor is part of the reason why I watch this channel.
There is a drama series of this whole event called Escape at Dannemora. It was on prime, it came out in 2018 and has 7 episodes. It has a great cast with Benicio Del Toro as Richard Matt, Paul Dano as David Sweat and Patricia Arquette as Joyce Mitchell. I ended up binge watching it because it was so good! Its well worth watching!
Yes! We watched it on Hulu a few yrs ago & I think it's still on there. Highly recommended, in fact I may re-watch it now. We binged it as soon as episodes came out, it was so good.
@@YTStoleMyUsername the actors were matched to their parts so well! it's definitely one to binge! 💗
Thanks for the recommendation, will definitely check it out, that's a great cast
It was actually pretty scary for a bunch of us that lived in the area, we were all warned to lock all doors and windows.
Theory: Anyone who could break out of prison. Could certainly break into a house.
Did you have to put a lot of heavy stuff on the toilet lids
Great comment 👍
Felt the same when the DC sniper was on the loose! I live 12miles from where he was caught
Did they allow you to leave your homes?
No.
Its so considerate that prison designers always include some nice person sized pipes
Some persons are also real small, and if they're not, they can be real determined...
@@susanandrews2294 Ted Bundy went on a fast and lost 35 pounds so he could squeeze through the vent above his cell.
David sweat was bitchin’ at Matt all the time to lose weight before the escape. Lol. As far as the size of pipe… gotta have them big to deal with all the captives. Lots of shit.
@@jimmyzhao2673 Now that is determined.
Why are the cops posing with the fugitive and holding onto him like they just caught a fish?
I mean…it is a big catch and you would probably do the same damn thing!
Epic!!!
this year same thing happened to escaped inmates in the same region. They took a group photo that had over 20 cops in it. The inmate wasn't white so they didn't worry as much about optics.
It's pretty typical for escaped convicts

I was a reporter in Albany when this happened & couldn't believe the luxuries these 2 animals were allowed to have in their "maximum security" cells prior to escaping; they had electric guitars and even a George Foreman grill smh Unbelievable
To many privileges & not enough discipline. Prison is not a luxury hotel
A George Foreman grill. LOL. Never heard of it.
So I looked it up, and yes, apparently it is a thing, but I wouldn't call that "luxury." For one thing, it has teflon, and it's only about 150 USD. At least they didn't have an 8,000 Euro set of pans from Zepter.
@@SunRabbit I had one, it was heavily promoted at Christmas in 2000.

As someone thats claustrophobic being stuck in the boot of a car for 27 hours straight would definitely seem like something out of the worst horror movie for me
Right?! My heart pounded when the cop was going into the pipe they had to crawl through to get out. It made me sick to my stomach!
I would probably have a seizure. Newer cars have an emergency handle that opens the trunk. Whenever I hear about people being put in a trunk, I shudder.

I was living in Vermont at the time of this escape and it was all over the news 24/7. Then last Sept a viscious murderer, Danello Calvacante escaped a Pennsylvania prison - also on the run thru woods for weeks- and was captured within a few miles of where i now live. Again, all over the news, massive police presence and multiple missed opportunities for law enforcement. In an incredible act of forgiveness, Jean Mitchell's husband took her back.
Yea he’s a sucker!!! How the heell do you take back a lady who got trains tan on from murderers

"Give it a goo" sounds like a Scottish (?) accent. I like it! It's amazing that in today's era where we're all exposed to mass media from childbirth that we still have regional accents like that.
