Thank you Mike! This happened to me with MR. Ballen. I was lucky enough to have a son who knows about that scam and stopped me from following the link to the prize!!! I appreciate you for letting your subscribers and viewers know!❤
"regular a$$ folk like you and like me. I'm presuming you are and maybe you're not..." Mike, do you want to see my skull collection??? I started off with the skulls of my annoying neighbor's dogs that barked too much, and worked my way up to the skulls of my annoying neighbors...
Unbelievable!!! Brae said her father made her feel like nothing and there he was taking time from work to have lunch with her. Something my dad never did. Sick twisted little brat.
Right? I admittedly had a father who went out of his way to let me know how important I was to him, and went through a shitty phase where I didn't realize what I had but I still feel bad for it to this day. However, I also didn't grow up in a messed up dynamic with an addicted mom, which can really mess you up. I'm glad she's paying for what she did, but if she ever gets out, I hope people around her are careful, because she's clearly got a screw loose.
Right? My father just left us when I was 13. He never looked back. When I was 29 my stepdad of 10 years left us. All of it was super traumatic to me. This brat is beyond lost…
My dad has never shown a pinch of interest in me, and Ive worked hard to support and love him despite all the wrongs he's committed. I have issues with men as an adult due to his behaviour. I WISH I had a dad like their's
The girl was definitely the mastermind. She was cold and calculated and upset that her dad was giving attention to someone who wasn't her. Which is fuckin' weird.
Yeah, I thought that was super creepy and weird too, about the daughter being upset about her dad "choosing" his girlfriend over her? Like wtf? Sounded to me like she wanted her dad's "attention and love" WAYYYYY more than him being a father to her. That whole interview with her was just soooo sickening and creepy. She sounded like a scorned lover.
@Anonymous-wx8gf stg it's always ppl coming on these videos to imply the victim (especially parents) were doing something unspeakable to their kids. i have no clue why it's always twisted around, so it somehow becomes the male victim's fault that caused his own murder. it's like people just fantasize this is the case in EVERY scenario instead of the daughter being a horrible person.
It's incredible that this man not only remained in the life of his step kids, after their mom died, but continued being their loving father, only to be murdered as a result.
I feel a tremendous amount of sympathy and anguish for Tim's daughter Erin. She was raised with these 2 ass-wipe ingrates as her siblings. Her pain is palpable.
Yes, me too. I wasn't sure if the step daughter had been manipulated by her brother but then when the detective asked her how she felt. She was disappointed in herself and felt like she screwed up her whole life. So in a nutshell, she's mad that she made mistakes that got her ass caught.
The INGRATES! Makes me so damn FURIOUS! Their selfish disregard for his human life, their arrogant taking of his love, and care. No, they did not deserve him at all.
This is, like, the third or fourth time I've heard of someone pretending to be tied up while calling for help, and every single time it backfires because cops are confused how they dialed a phone when they couldn't move or see the number pad.
One shouldn't feel grateful to have a dad. That should be a thing everyone should have although they don't. But being grateful for coming out his sac isn't something one should be.
@@gelly8983 Even if a man fathers a child, so that a person has a biological set of parents, if those parents provided for your life & well being, if they put a roof over your head, food in your tummy & clothes on your body, that would be enough for someone to be grateful for all all by itself, provided a person had the good sense to REALIZE how fortunate they'd been to have had all that. But then if you also attended school for 10 to 12 years and/or if aperson went to a trade school or college, after high school, if they saw doctors & were vaccinated against some awful diseases all their life, saw a dentist if it was needed, if your parents saw you through til you graduated high school, checked if you did your homework, taught you to tie your shoes, wipe your butt, comforted you if you were upset, kept your clothes & YOU clean, then any person yes, should be grateful at least a little for all of that. Sadly. in this country lately too many (young adults) "kids" think NOTHING of all that their parents did (and may still be doing) for them & that's because they were fortunate enough to have had parents with them everyday growing up, so now they just take it for granted that they'll always be there or they'll always put up with their kid's ingratitude & always give them what they want from them because they love their kids. Those kids DO not think about how much of their parents lives they took for over 20 years and they actually think they're owed everything their parents have done for them or will ever do for them just because they were born to them. But NO, there are millions who've never had even 1 parent & millions who've had such awful parents they would've been better off on their own all their lives. There's no promise or guarantee a child's parents will hang around 18 years, they dont have to, you know, thousands abandon their kids every day. If you have or had parents that protected & fed you, cared about you, worked to support you & provide everything you needed & alot of what you wanted , then I'd think that being GRATEFUL for them is the least a kid should do.
Lol when he describes the excellent properties of the "supplement" in the advertisement, it sounds just as unrealistic as the daughters original statements. Like a psychopath trying to sell you a bill of goods.
Tim was probably afraid to divorce their mother due to these kids being left with a alcoholic, depressed, and abusive mother. So Tim stuck out that marriage for those kids sake… once those kids mom committed suicide he chose to continue to be in those kids lives, finding love with someone that accepted the step children, and this is how those kids show their love, gratitude, and thanks…. WOW.
One of the many reasons I don't date single moms... can't ever tell what's going through the mind of a kid you personally sired these days, let alone someone else's crotch goblins...no thanks...
Well I guess nobody wants to mention that the thumbnail photo… is very suggestive that the step-bro was intimate with the step-sister, obviously. And their hot sexual connection was probably part of the whole thing. RIP to the dad.
@@drewthedweeeb yes I’m serious, I guess you didn’t look at the thumbnail, plus it’s in the video too, but I guess you weren’t watching. It shows step-sis spreading her legs around step-bro’s head, and she looks embarrassed about her crotch wrapped around his head, while he’s enjoying it. Really it’s one of the most pornographic photos possible, while technically being clean, the photo is referencing “oral sex” but the real question is why anyone would even want to get so close to a woman’s crotch: No thanks!!
Two things I really hate: 1) Watching criminals coddle themselves in a blanket during questioning 2) Listening to criminals bullsh!t speeches at sentencing
Speaking of which, did Mike do the daughter who covered her father in lye and water while he was sleeping because he was too drunk to drive her to her party?
I’m not religious by any means but in these times I do hope there’s hell😡😡 I never had any parent that gave a damn. Never lived in my own home or have my own room. I don’t even remember having my own bed during most of my childhood. I dreamed for somebody to tell me they’re proud or any crap like that! I do blame the social media for most of it. When your brain is developing, when you’re supposed to make mistakes but also learn shame and empathy, you have the whole world out there making you feel like you done nothing wrong, you’re able to form a bubble that a decade before we couldn’t, even with chatting on yahoo 24/7 haha. Difficult to make sense. On one hand it’s a tool that opens doors for so many but on the other it’s going to be at the detriment of our future as the nation. This is why China started regulating its usage when it comes to youth. 45 mins a day. I can’t even imagine the difference it makes while kids here are filling their heads with hot air, kids in other countries are spending the same time filling their heads with knowledge and tools to help them succeed. I don’t say other kids aren’t on social orc that some don’t go overboard but the here kids as the nation have fallen through the cracks. Whether youre rich of poor, the standards are much lower than other developed nations. There’s just too many kids that have false sense of superiority even before they earn anything. They demand “space” and talk to parents without any sort of sense of values. My mother was more abusive than most. Made my life a living hell, I still didn’t dare to talk to her the way teens think they can now and I grew up in the 90s. I remember getting my first computer and chatting on yahoo all day lol It felt so new and would’ve never occurred to me that a couple of decades later this would be the result. If government doesn’t wake up and prioritize its youth and give parents more resources, they aren’t going to like the end result and will end up paying ten fold.
I watch Mike’s videos so often while doing my makeup that I’ve Pavlov’d myself into feeling a weird wistful sense of justice being served just for finishing my eye shadow.
Having been in a relationship with someone like Brae for over 25 years, I can tell you she will never feel remorse for what she did. She will always be the victim in her own mind no matter what mountains of evidence are paraded in front of the world. If she ever gets out on parole it will be because she learned how to act like she is apologetic and changed. Which many narcissists can do, but I don't think she is smart enough to pull that off.
@@Seacai150they aren’t all pure evil. But I do understand where you’re coming from as I’ve also experienced that form of narcissistic abuse/behavior as well… and sadly, I think the OP is 100% right on this one as well… sad….
Agreed. People on their deathbed will double down on their position. All you can say in cases like that is "F**K 'em." Serious, what else is there to say?
I think this is the most senseless murder I've ever heard of. How can two young people be so twisted that they decide to murder someone who was good to them...?... Rest in peace Tim .
Poor Tim, to know his last words as the two kids he raised stood over him with a gun was 'you killed me is unbelievably tragic. What vile kids. May they rot in jail
Man, I hope those detectives who ignored his request for a lawyer got reprimanded properly. Dumbest thing you can do as a detective, and probably the first thing you learn: when the interrogated asks for a lawyer, the interrogation stops. No ifs-and-buts. Just total amateur hour, and it almost cost them a conviction!
I've watched so many crime stories that I know when asked for lawyer, detectives should stop the interrogation and I live in the other part of the world. Hope these detectives face some kind of consequence. Their arrogance led to mis trial, that costs lot of money to the tax payer.
If Nathan knew ANYTHING at all, the one area he'd of course be sharp on is his criminal legal rights, given that the man who raised him, his victim, specialized in that area of the law.
The daughter’s interview is chilling. Just her tone of voice. She sounds like she’s describing a boring school assignment. She absolutely does not care that her stepdad is dead.
My dad is such a good dad that my sister, his step daughter, gave her son his name. When I think of how Tim loved his children and showed that love to them, only to have it spat back at his face, it truly is heartbreaking RIP
Not only that, but he kept taking care of Brae after the mother died. I'm sure he would've kept him to, but I guess he wanted to be with his grandmother. Not many stepparents would do that.
I'm currently sitting in the infusion center getting my third of 11 chemo treatments and boy is this a treat to get me through the next 44 minutes Thank you

It's sad because considering how fast Tim dated after his wife's death, it seems he might not even had wanted to stay in that marriage, but stayed because of the kids.
how can you make such a stupid dumb idiot statement against this person? How can you just say the previous marriage was worthless and meant nothing to him. Get offline and see the sun.

There’s ppl out that (like myself) that never had a father present and these two didn’t deserve the father they had at all!!!! And 2 pretend they had any ❤ for him is just callous and disgusting!
So this man married a woman that offed herself (leaving him with heart break, and her children) and then those children plan and act out his murder? I thought I had bad luck...sweet baby Jesus. Absolutely horrendous. We really need to start testing peoples personalities when they become teens. We gotta prevent this sh!t not wait to react to it.
Testing them as teens will do jack. Unsuitable parents should not traumatise their kids and make them into monsters. And that goes for every generation traumatising the next.
@Noicul What a terrible world it has come to when I have to say this, but I think testing needs to began a lot earlier. And I mean a LOT, like probably in kindergarten, and it needs it needs to be kept up with for every single child. I realize that this could be a small, extra expense for school districts, but it doesn't have to be an hour therapy session with a psychiatrist; just a 10 minute sit down maybe once a semester just to see how the kids are doing. Every single kid, every semester of their life. Schools have counselors, and from when I could tell, ours didn't do jack! Mine never even called me into his office until my very last semester of high school. What if I had been missing credits or something and nobody told me? Fortunately that wasn't the case. But there are counselors in there who can sit down with each kid just a few minutes every semester to get a feel for how they're doing. I know a lot of kids hide things well, but there are a lot of kids who are just out-and-out troubled and you could see it a mile away. I don't know what they would do about it next, but it wouldn't be that hard to come up with a plan once something like this was put into effect. Some kids don't have anybody to go to when bad things are going on at home Or other places. Why don't those school counselors make themselves useful, they're getting paid to sit in that office. I was a peer counselor in college; it just isn't that hard to do. And sometimes 10 minutes with someone when nobody else in the whole world is listening to them makes a difference in a kid's life. Seriously, I am so disgusted with how things are in the United States now. I was raised there for 20 years until I finally got tired of it and moved to Mexico. Best thing I ever did for myself and the kids I eventually had. I missed the California I was born and raised in, but I have been here for 43 years and I've never looked back... It just makes me want to cry to see how things are there now.
@@arlecelarae That’s why I said it could be expensive for a school district. But my idea would be to simply have the schools keep an eye open, so to speak. There would have to be some other resource from somewhere else where, once identified as problematic, the kids could be suggested to go there once a week or whatever for activities. They used to have the YMCA, I don’t know if they still do. But swimming, basketball, or just hanging out, but hanging out in a safe and sane environment. Nobody could afford to set up a true psychological-type center. Not to mention that the backlash from the parents would just be uncontrollable. For the most part, it has been my experience that troubled children have parents who are usually completely out of control, which is what affected the majority of those kids in the first place. But seriously, if counselors would dedicate 10 minutes to kids just asking them how they’re doing, plus maybe sneak in a few other key questions that don’t sound obvious that they are “prying”. You could see six kids an hour, x however many hours you could dedicate to it per day, with five days in the school week. A lot of kids don’t start really developing big problems until adolescence, but if they start early enough some of those kids could come from grade school “tagged” as potential troublemakers or who are having traumatic abuse at home. Seriously, that part is easy to do. It’s what to do afterward, once they have been identified, that is the real problem. Additionally, programs couldn’t be on campus; they would have to be at the community center or something. Also, it would have to be something very inconspicuous, like doing crafts or playing sports. Something kids wouldn’t mind doing, and something the parents would be agreeable to letting them do. It’s complex, and I know I’m rambling on but I’m just talking through it as I’m thinking about it. I also believe that there should be some serious classes made mandatory about kindness to animals and to other humans. There are ways to do it without stepping on any religious or cultural toes. Teaching some critical basic life skills like gardening should be mandatory as well. Sewing, and even embroidery should be taught to both the males and females. Everybody learns in the armed forces, and there is nothing sissy about it. These are practical life skills that everybody should be familiar with. The US school system has needed a decent revamp since I was in the seventh grade, and that was in about 1970 I guess. My classmates and I didn’t live in the best area of Los Angeles, but we were blessed to have teachers who actually cared about us. Back when your teacher could give you a hug and there was nothing nefarious about it. For many kids I knew, that was the only hug they ever got because they didn’t get them at home. If kids don’t get schooled on basic decency and humanitarian skills, they are going to need way more jails then they already do. The whole situation has been in crisis mode for decades, but if they could just start doing making a few changes starting in preschool and kindergarten, naturally it won’t help every single child in the US, but if it helps anybody it would be worth it. Thanks for listening to me, I don’t think I even really expressed what I was trying to say. But I rarely use my English, and it has been decades since I worked for an American school district. I live in a place where we don’t have these types of problems to anywhere near the extent that you see in the USA, so I rarely give all of this very much thought. But prior to moving to where we eventually ended up starting in fifth grade for me, I went to some excellent schools. One in Diamond Bar, and the best one of all in Las Vegas which at the time was an experimental school, and it was just awesome! They had so many incredible and innovative classes and teaching techniques. Because we moved, I never knew what happened to that style of school, but if any school could implement even just one quarter of what they were doing there, society could at least start to improve on many levels. I should probably point out that I am not a teacher, although I have taught all grades throughout my life, right up to the PhD level. I am an archaeologist with additional degrees in cultural anthropology, so I have a fairly extensive background in human behavior. Unfortunately though, not the same kind I would have had if I’d have been a psychologist. But since I went through that school system myself, I am keenly aware of how it works (or doesn’t). Even all these years later I have quite a grasp of it, because I have so many friends still there with grandkids going through it all. Thank you for writing to me. You sound like a person who definitely cares what is going on, and you obviously know what you are talking about. May you continue to be richly blessed, and if you have good ideas about how to change things for the better, I pray that you will be heard.
Thanks mike! You’re a huge part of my weekly routine! I dunno what the shit I would do if you ever decided to stop making videos. So don’t! Cause I love ya.
So, I went to high school with Brae. I didn't know her that well, but she was always so nice... she hung out with the theater kids and was kinda nerdy. The last time I saw her was after a theater performance. She came to the green room and said hi to all of us, and she gave me a big hug.. I remember it being one of the best hugs I ever got. It's crazy how people can portray themselves one way and be something completely different behind closed doors.
This death was totally preventable. It's sad that the kids who complained about not having a good mother went ahead to deprive his kids of their father. All for what? The entitlement is crazy!!! Worse of all, I don't feel any remorse from her because all she clearly still cares for is herself and how she won't be able to play outside and plan murders anymore not the victim or the pain and heartaches the ones who care for him are having to heal through. RIP Tim. They never deserved you.
Wow. How do people come up with such violent ideas? Especially to be perpetrated against such a good person? I feel especially awful for his bio daughter 😔
"Dancing on RUclips....I wouldn't be caught dead doing that!" Love your sense of humor. So glad I found your channel; though my boyfriend now thinks I'm getting pointers (what to do/not do)!😂
You keep posting, I'll keep watching 😊 I only recently found your channel, so I've got a lot to catch up on. Thanks, Mike! And by the way, I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and remember the cases you've spoken about here. But I never got the details you've given before.
We obviously can’t know what really went on in that home behind closed doors. But what we do know about this man is that he was willing to raise children that weren’t biologically his even AFTER his wife died. So that says a lot about his character. And we also know that his daughter spoke about his murder like it was just a normal Tuesday. He didn’t deserve what happened to him. There are people that don’t even take care of their biological kids. I can’t wrap my mind around being so emotionally flat and cut off as that little girl was. Talk about a danger to society…
I can’t either. My father was verbally abusive but I always knew he’d be there no matter what. I struggle to put myself in others’ shoes….but never is murder the answer. Both are exactly where they need to be.
God, the bar for men is so low. It should be EXPECTED that you continue raising your stepchildren after their biological parent dies. That's exactly what you signed up for when you got married.
@@sew_gal7340Also judging by the rest of your comments, you're not exactly a great person and I wouldn't be surprised if any of your family members deadass hated you.
I honestly think the 2 kids(mainly the daughter) had it in their heads that they thought their father was going to abandon them like their (abusive)mother did when he decided to try and remarry and move on with his life once they were done with high school. Its the only thing that makes sense.....that and the insurance angle.
Literally said, “OH YEAH!!” When Brae was life without parole! She was cold the whole time! Emotionally dead except where it concerned her! Wretched little creature!
This is horrifying in so many ways. As a man that had his father abandon him at 4 years old I can’t begin to tell you how upsetting this is to me. They had a beautiful person step in to love and take care of them but through their unbelievable selfishness they took his life. May god rest his soul.
My thinking is the girl became so attached to the dad she developed a father complex then used her brother to do the deed while seeing him as dead weight when shit would get through the fan. Simply looking at the reaction, he seemed extremely genuine and honestly sad about what happened. Not saying the guy was an angel but compared to his sister, he was not far from it.
Hey That Chapter Tuesday! Great to see ye Mike. I hope everyone has a fabulous week ahead, I’m sending much love to my TC Fam. But let’s have a goo first?!…
This story was just sad all the way around. This guy was very upstanding and raised his stepchildren as they were his own. All he got in return was a bang to the head. I hope they rot! Thanks for the Tuesday video and the life insurance dance! See you Friday
I honestly think murderers who kill as children should never be let out. If you do something so evil at a young age, surely it's proof of a damaged mind that is a risk to themselves and everyone else.
oh my god i remember this case, his stepchildren, and he loved them, even with all the issues, with the blended families, it was sheer jealousy that he was moving on with his life after the death of his wife. about to sit down, knowing this information. thank you for covering it Mike, it was a terrible event
What pisses me off is when at 14:33 when he said he needs a lawyer; police should've immediately stopped the interview but they didn't. REMEMBER your right people.
And a lot of them do because of the psychological damage done to them when very young. They never learned nor were taught coping skills. The Mothers history speaks volumes.
@@PK-bh1wwthey don’t do it “because” of psychological abuse… they do it because they choose to. Just like people that aren’t abused and end up murdering someone, they choose to take a life.
@blakjak220gmail They don't always choose to willingly, sometimes it's honestly in self-defense. Not these two, but in other cases. They make actual abuse victims look bad.
@@PK-bh1ww Oh hoorah! Finally someone that is commenting on what the driver behind this terrible crime is. Though I'll also add that the father was almost certainly an enabler and whilst I'm not suggesting for a moment that this justifies the actions of these two delightful children, it goes a long way toward explaining how they were capable of such a thing. I think the fathers history of remarriage and then a new relationship only four months after his wife's death suggests he has his own pathology of co-dependency and mother issues.
It's nice to hear a 911 operator who seems to do a good job for once. Staying calm and getting info but telling the caller they are doing good. Too bad it was for someone who didn't deserve it.

It’s truly annoying tbh. I’m trying to sort of ignore it because the stories are interesting. I prefer coffeehouse crime as he is still sassy yet not goofy and it isn’t as grating
I just miss how dark/creepy the channel used to be. It really took a positive/chipper turn a couple years ago but I’m not mad about it. Not only did they NOT get him an attourney. But their interrogation was totally sloppy. The whole "If you don't confess then your sister will fry" is very like leading to a forced confession. Rings out as "Hey, if you lie here, you save your little sister!"
@@carolinemaybeNot for me if they do a crazy murder. Especially, when the victim is a parent & when they are going to most likely be charged as an adult. Unfortunately they get to an age where they can be just as deadly as an adult.
It’s way different in Canada, they can ask for an attorney all day and the detective can just keep on talking, doesn’t matter what a dumbass rule, stupid technicality!!
Sadly, this is just another routine example of law enforcement disregarding lawful procedures and corrupting the law in order to score one more incarceration. Intimidation, threats, and total disregard for the law have basically become the standard protocol among cops anymore with respect to their handling of arrests and interrogations. They essentially do anything it takes to coerce someone into giving a confession whether the party is guilty or not. That's what is perhaps most terrifying about our judicial system. It has absolutely nothing to do with justice whatsoever. Clearly, in this case, their disgusting tactic backfired, and as a result, a guilty man nearly walked free.
These two inherited whatever mental health issues their mother had. Most 17 y/o's would be happy their father found romance again, if for no other reason it would take some of his attention off you, meaning more freedom.
It's not inherited, being a kid with a depressed and abusive alcoholic mother who then kills herself will play a number on any kid. All the factors just added up reaching the unfortunate critical mass in distorting these kids personality. Horrific and beyond sad for Tim who as far as it seems was loving and caring.

Doreen was one of my Spanish teachers in high school. No one liked her, because she was very strict and didn't have much of a sense of humor. She brought Brae in one time, and the kid was a spitting image of her mother: she was terse and would even call out students in the class that were talking/not paying attention. I was supposed to fail her class for not completing the video half of the final assignment, but she passed me anyway, which allowed me to graduate. I visited her before graduation, apologized, and we ended up sharing a hug. You could feel her sadness. All the stuff we students had mistaken for Mrs. Macneil being cruel and strict was actually her suffering some of the worst mental battles imaginable. Such an overwhelming amount of pain in that family.
The entitlement of those kids is unbelievable! There’s so many kids that grow up with nothing and don’t have anything handed to them. They are born with a disadvantage and are lucky if they manage to get out of their unfortunate circumstances.

Thank you for another amazing video. Poor Tim 😢😢😢. Disgusting crime. Those police officers interviewing the brother SHOULD ABSOLUTELY have suspended his interview and got him a Lawyer as soon as he requested one.
I had a feeling the step daughter was involved immediately when she mentioned the safe. I doubt a random intruder would know this house would have one. That usually indicates an an insider job since I think anybody who has one will only tell those who they trust. That one line immediately set off alarm bells for me.
Right. Random intruders wouldn't go in hoping for a safe. People who go in knowing there's a safe make sure that the house is empty before attempting the burglary.

She really had to reach to manufacture a "wrong" done to her.
@@joanodom2104I was going to say the same. This girl has serious attachment issues. I wonder if he ever caught onto how warped her brain is.

Being a step-father is a CHOICE. That wonderful man chose to care for these kids and love them. The betrayal was unbelievable!
It's incredible that this man not only remained in the life of his step kids, after their mom died, but continued being their loving father, only to be murdered as a result.

One shouldn't feel grateful to have a dad. That should be a thing everyone should have although they don't. But being grateful for coming out his sac isn't something one should be.
@@gelly8983in this case, yes the kids should've been grateful
Idk why you had to go somewhere else to do all that stretching
@@gelly8983you're a weird one arent you.

Having been in a relationship with someone like Brae for over 25 years, I can tell you she will never feel remorse for what she did. She will always be the victim in her own mind no matter what mountains of evidence are paraded in front of the world.
Also, after asking for a lawyer STOP TALKING. Because of they start talking again they can keep going.
I've watched so many crime stories that I know when asked for lawyer, detectives should stop the interrogation and I live in the other part of the world. Hope these detectives face some kind of consequence. Their arrogance led to mis trial, that costs lot of money to the tax payer.
Police departments literally won't hire people with high IQs. They WANT it this way.
If Nathan knew ANYTHING at all, the one area he'd of course be sharp on is his criminal legal rights, given that the man who raised him, his victim, specialized in that area of the law.
He didn't request a lawyer, he said "I need a lawyer". Big difference.

We really need to start testing peoples personalities when they become teens. We gotta prevent this sh!t not wait to react to it.
Testing them as teens will do jack. Unsuitable parents should not traumatise their kids and make them into monsters. And that goes for every generation traumatising the next.
@@girlwhomustnotbenamed4139Some people are good parents but their kids are still bad.
@@MexicoDigDoctorthere aren’t enough resources if counselors were to step in like that. They’d be overwhelmed with troubled kids.
Cap 🧢 😅
She resembles her Dad so much!
@@joanodom2104 she sure does!
"Dancing on RUclips....I wouldn't be caught dead doing that!" Love your sense of humor. So glad I found your channel; though my boyfriend now thinks I'm getting pointers (what to do/not do)!😂
Haha thanks for watching!!
You keep posting, I'll keep watching 😊 I only recently found your channel, so I've got a lot to catch up on. Thanks, Mike! And by the way, I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and remember the cases you've spoken about here. But I never got the details you've given before.
@@ThatChapterthanks for dancing. 💃🏻😸
He was a fool, too much kindness and zero common sense.
13:46 : " I wouldn't be caught dead doing that " . Great expression ! Never heard that one before .
Hey That Chapter Tuesday! Great to see ye Mike. I hope everyone has a fabulous week ahead, I’m sending much love to my TC Fam. But let’s have a goo first?!…
Or _"That Chapter"_ Wednesday for some of us.
Have a great one too!
They had someone who truly loved them, yet they killed him cause he was trying to be happy.
Mike is just always coming in at the right time! This is a case i am unfamiliar with. Thank you
What pisses me off is when at 14:33 when he said he needs a lawyer; police should've immediately stopped the interview but they didn't. REMEMBER your right people.
Being a stepmother or stepfather can be such a thankless job
A lot of people are abused, they don't murder.
It should be noted that when the abuse is bad enough that might be one’s only way out, but this isn’t one of those cases.
It's nice to hear a 911 operator who seems to do a good job for once. Staying calm and getting info but telling the caller they are doing good. Too bad it was for someone who didn't deserve it.
These people are beyond hope even when they were showered with love and he treated them as his own flesh and blood they do that to him they should never be realeased ever
Confession: I used to dislike Mike’s cadence so much. It just felt weird. But after a few months of listening, I can’t get enough of it! It plays so well with the injection of subtle humor into the most grim of stories. The uniqueness is truly appreciated now.
My wife was the same way! That's so funny you say that. She eventually warmed up to him.
It’s truly annoying tbh. I’m trying to sort of ignore it because the stories are interesting. I prefer coffeehouse crime as he is still sassy yet not goofy and it isn’t as grating
I don't get why you'd dislike it. It's so refreshing for a YT narrator not to have an annoying American accent!
I just miss how dark/creepy the channel used to be. It really took a positive/chipper turn a couple years ago but I’m not mad about it. It helps make the stories more digestible and allows him to show his personality more. I just preferred the creepy/ominous feel of the old videos a lot more. Now I have to watch Creepy Interesting for that but he isn’t as good.
@@scorpiokhaleesiI’m the opposite, I like coffeehouse crime as well but Mike edges it for me. I prefer both 100% over those American equivalent ones, which I haven’t found one yet I can listen to.
I was hated by my step kids. Their parents were both losers and they were mad because I was a good guy. It pushed them off that I was always there for them and their parents weren't.
Posted one minute ago, 30 views and 20 comments. I love that That Chapter has such a big community of followers and still the videos feel intimate. As if listening to a good friend
@traybernreel it in there, weirdo.
How heartbreaking for this poor man…it’s so rare to find a decent man in this sorry world, and this one was punished for being too good. Just…ugh 🤦🏼♀️💔
After all this time, I still smile when Mike tells me he loves me.
I thought it was uh . . . you know, time to . . mumble mumble. . Cough.
I love you too, man❤
Mike is a bloody legend. Good work, my bro. You and Adrian are my favourite crime commentators.
Love a bit of Coffee house crime too! Him and Mike are awsome!!
@@laurenwest3090 ❤️ Weirdly comforting watching them. Horrific crimes but told so eloquently it's relaxing.
Their mother's day must have really impacted them mentally. Poor Tim.
Not only did they NOT get him an attourney. But their interrogation was totally sloppy. The whole "If you don't confess then your sister will fry" is very like leading to a forced confession. Rings out as "Hey, if you lie here, you save your little sister!"
It always blows my mind when the police interview a person under age.
He asks for a lawyer.
Let’s all give Mike a round of applause, that life insurance dance is Legendary 😆🕺🏽
Been watching since you were wearing a captain’s hat. Glad to see you’re now nearing 2 million subs. You deserve it brother, you’re YT grind is a steady one you’ve been entertaining us for going on 6 years now. Keep up the hard work and thanks for all the time you’ve spent to make content for us. You’re a real one friend.
The photo of the kid and his granny at his graduation is so great. Love that. Even though what happened- happened. Happy moment.
The siblings have amazingly different affect when they talk about it.
Mike is the only reason i like tuesday, thanks Mike for making me liking it

Good ol' Givit-a-goo'sday
Tragedy Tuesday
I like Tuesday because it's the bosses day off and I can take a longer lunch to listen to a Chapter episode
Lol..same here..I even have a special notification sound for when the video posts 😊
Dialed 911 with her tongue? Talented little psycho.
Well put!
💀💀💀
The entitlement of those kids is unbelievable! There’s so many kids that grow up with nothing and don’t have anything handed to them. They are born with a disadvantage and are lucky if they manage to get out of their unfortunate circumstances.
WTF? Chose his girlfriend over HER? WHAT DOES SHE NOT UNDERSTAND?
So from that 911 call I half expected to hear Bray start talking about her dog Sparklebeak and maybe how Nathan could release his bipolar
This sounds so familiar, I'm sure it's a reference to another case.. But which one?
@chillcreep4926 Aaron Friar, killed bu his daughter, her boyfriend and their "bodyguard"
I’ve worked with hundreds of kids who would give _anything_ to have _any_ adult in their lives as devoted as the stepfather these little sh-ts murdered.
I've been watching the TCs from 4&5 years ago and there's really no comparison. Your lively humor, the deep-dives into content, and of course THE LIFE INSURANCE DANCE

Omg that two second clip of his other daughter, Erin made me cry! That poor girl losing such a great dad in such an awful way 😢
This has to be one of the most painful examples of no good deed going unpunished 😞
My father is a true sociopathic SOB, but I can't imagine unaliving him. Mr. MacNeil seemed like one of the good guys. More messed up, entitled kids with no morals or conscious. RIP, Mr. MacNeil... 🌹
Mike, as sad as this story is you are able to share it with respect and wit. Thank you for your efforts and consistency! I really enjoy your channel :)
I generally HATE when people say this, but her 911 call immediately made me think she had done it. She's so obviously not distressed at all.
Just as I was ready to succumb to my road rage, and play tag with the jerk who cut me off I get a notification that Mike posted a new upload! Thanks, Mike, ol boy'o! Yer a right good an' proper lad. Saving the world one person on the verge of snapping with his amazing sense of humor, and pensiont for such vivid narration! I don't know what we'd do without you.

Thank you for another amazing video. Poor Tim 😢😢😢. Disgusting crime. Those police officers interviewing the brother SHOULD ABSOLUTELY have suspended his interview and got him a Lawyer as soon as he requested one.
I truly love you Mike ..Your story telling can't be beat..
My favorite true crime channel! Mike is an amazing storyteller.
“Lapse of judgment”. Wow.
Nathan seemed actually remorseful in his confession, to Brae it was Tuesday.
yeah, she sounded like she thought she was going home after the interrogation.
Nathan doesn't BLINK!
It started getting really fishy to me when it was obvious that she hadn't had a prepared answer for the 911 operators "murderers accent" question- so she pulls the "cartoon" voice out of her ass. kids... She expects some rando robber to have a polished cartoon voice of some variety?
She was cold. Manipulating him into something he didn’t want to. She only broke down when she said “I messed up my life.” To him, his life was forfeit. He said he should die for what he did.
Knowing a good man that took on his step kids after their mom died this is awful.
Wow, if that’s how they treat the person who raised them, imagine what they would do to a stranger!
15:15 is this whole interrogation not summitable after he says he wants a lawyer? He could technically admit to everything but the courts would still have to proove it, I would think.
It becomes muddied when the suspect continues to talk after asking, youre supposed to ask for a lawyer and stfu
Jealousy is one of the most pointless things on the planet I mean what good has it ever done for anyone so you should be able to rise above such pettiness because it's simply not worth it
