I thought it was great that they gave her the reward money that was being offered for her safe return because she saved herself.

It sadly sets up a predecent for people to fake their own kidnapping and return expecting their reward money. It's really not good in the long run.
Awesome

@@ChiefsWin316lmao stop it. have you seen how hard it is for folks to fake being kidnapped? They do it… and then everyone finds out.
All I keep thinking is that this poor girl must have felt a wave of relief hearing the sirens rush towards the car, and then overwhelming devastation when the sirens passed by and kept going. I cant even begin to imagine how that felt.
I had the same thought. :(
Me too
Very thoughtful thought ❤
Exactly. I can't imagine how horrible it would feel if that was the only thing that happened, not to mention she was also processing her parents being murdered. Poor girl.
Imagine all the happening to you and on top of it - in a *completely unrelated incident* - some other creep breaks into your house and does creep stuff. I would never go back to the town in my life.

You almost had it. Punctuation needs to go INSIDE the asterisks/underscores, not outside of it (asterisks for bold of course, and underscores are for ITALIC letters - they aren’t called “slanted” lol).
Her mom literally died protecting her daughter from this man. Her worst nightmare was playing out in her last moments, and her last thought was probably realizing she hadn’t succeeded in saving her. It’s so monstrous. It’s beyond evil.
I followed this when it happened and still think about Jamie and if she’s okay now. She’s so brave, but she shouldn’t have had to be. She was just a kid. I hope she’s been able to find some peace in her life. I hope she took survivors like Elizabeth Smart up on their offers to support her. Few could ever understand such a horror.

Right? What’s that about? Does he really think he’s not a danger to people when he killed 2 in cold blood and kidnapped and imprisoned a young girl under his bed for 2 months? The lack of self-awareness is astounding.
Imagine walking your dog and suddenly a shoeless, ragged lil girl with wild eyes runs & you KNOW her face from the news!

The entire state of Wisconsin rejoiced when she was rescued.
I'm in that area often, and the house where the Kloss family lived has been demolished and is now just an empty lot. Jayme got a ton of support from the community, and some credit has to be given to Elizabeth Smart, who came out to support Jayme and fight for her privacy. This kind of call has to be one of the scariest to respond to. Hearing absolutely horrific sounds in the 911 call, but arriving to dead silence and having no clue what you're running towards. This has to be terrifying.

Thanks Mike. That poor sweet girl. At 13 she is a legend going through all that in 88 days losing your parents both of them. Getting abducted, living at the hands of a maniac, keeping it together. 😢 I wish the best for her and her family. She’s a incredibly strong person. ❤
At 13 years old, I would have a meltdown if my curling iron didn’t work. 😢
I live an hour away from where this happened. Everyone was on alert and you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing or seeing something about Jayme. A lot of us were losing hope that she may never be found. Thank god she made it.
Same here! I vividly remember when she escaped and seeing the news reports about it, where they interviewed the lady who i believe was walking her dog. I just remember feeling so relieved but also so sad that she was coming home parentless. 😢
I don't live close but this case was on my mind constantly...thought it would go cold. So grateful she saved herself. Absolutely heartbreaking she lost her parents but damn, what a strong girl. So happy she has family to take her in and support & love her. I hope she can live the best life possible!
that''s funny because I live 59 minutes away from where this happened. No one was on alert and you could go everywhere without hearing or seeing something about Jayme. No one was losing hope that she wouldn't be found. Sounds like you're a liar.
I live in Southern California, and I followed this case closely. You know, you never know where these nutjobs will go next, so I keep my eyes open.
@badabing8152 I'm about 3 1/2 hours away. This was such an odd and distressing story when it happened. I think a lot of us didn't expect Jayme Closs to be found alive, she's an incredibly strong survivor. So random that it's frightening, just because he saw Jayme getting on a school bus. I doubt that she see's herself as a hero. Though she will never forget, I pray that she lives her life like her parents dreamed she would. Best wishes Jayme to you and your extended family.
That’s what’s so scary about this case. Like literally no motive similar to most abductees or killers… literally just a chance sighting of her and he decided then and there to do all of this. There’s absolutely no way her parents or anyone she knows could’ve prevented this from happening. He had no previous relationship or knowledge of her and her family, just was driving around one day and randomly saw a little girl getting off a bus across the street then decided to murder her entire family and abduct her. Had no previous record of violence or anything similar whatsoever. And also the fact that he like didn’t even really have a plan for after he abducted her. Just kind of stowed her away under his bed with no real plan like most abductors do. Just the randomness of it all is so frightening and just fucked all around…

88 day Jayme Closs endured & survived. This was absolutely horrific it shook Minnesota & Wisconsin. Law enforcement actual passed them on the road on the way to the house. The mother tried to protect her daughter in the bathroom, but he still got her. There are updates about her out there if you look.
Remember nowdays there are a ton of young men who don't have any respect for girls/women & want to do them harm. So when you see it in the media you have conversations about their inappropriate behaviors.
Now that is a terrifying phone recording.
It's amazing how much you can learn about a case you already knew from a different person analysing it. I have seen this case a few times but this was like watching one I had never seen. Thanks Mikey. I hope Jayme is surviving and that sometimes she can put the trauma aside and be happy.
What’s up Mike! Just jumping in the shower, glad to see you’ve uploaded so I get to listen to you in the back! Hope you & everyone watching this are doing well. Take care of yourselves. Be kind to others and be kind to yourselves ❤️🔥
I do the same😇,shower, either upload or Podcast 💯✌🏻💞
Same to you thank you ❤
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who listens to true crime while I shower 😂
@@sylphiummy husband got me a thing from Temu that is a waterproof phone holder with a clear screen so I literally stand there and wash myself and watch 😭🙊😂
You as well ❤
I hope wherever Jayme is I hope she is at peace
It’s so weird to me for Mike to talk about the town I lived in while in college. Very small world, glad to be far away from that dump full of crime
i still think about Jayme every once in a while, i don’t know why, but my heart absolutely goes out to out her, God bless you Sweetie🙏❤️❤️💯🙏
I love listening to you! Your podcasts are great in the car among other things ❤
Thank you so much for listening to the pods!
I love the pods. I missed a few which is great as I can binge when I have time ❤
Yes, so entertaining. The chemistry between you and Keith makes them even better. Thanks.
What “other” things are you talking about in the car?
Some people like to rub stinky’s
I was on lunch. Perfect.
I live about an hour from Barron and I remember when this happened SO many people local and in surrounding areas were online constantly spouting BS theories that Jayme was in on the whole thing and ran off with an online boyfriend. Now everyone loves to pretend they knew she was a brave hero the whole time. Also the strong Wisconsin accents in this video were a great reminder of how stupid we sound around here lol
