Apocalyptica doesn't have their own singers. They have cello players, and a drummer. But they do sometimes invite singers from other bands to collaborate with them. Their first album was just 4 cello players doing Metallica covers, then they started writing their own songs later.

Epica reign supreme in the symphonic metal scene! And Simone her beautiful crystal clear soprano voice is so extremely wonderful! All of this makes Epica by far the best symphonic metal band out there in my opinion.
Simone asked us if we could show some lights. We were obviously happy to oblige, so one of the lights in this video was mine. Apocalyptica are just an instrumental group, they only bring guest singers on tour.
In the old days we used our lighters to create this atmosphere. For days we were reminded of the concert because one way or another you burned your hand on the lighter.
Another video worth reacting to is titled "Apocalyptica feat. Simone Simons - Rise Again (Live in London)". It only has Simone singing with Apocalyptica whereas this was full Epica band plus Apocalyptica playing cellos as a bonus.
There's a Rammstein cover done by Apocalyptica that I'm sure you'd enjoy a lot, too - "Seemann" feat. Nina Hagen as the singer taking over Till's part... 😁🤘
My favorite Epica song. Personally I like the acapella version, its has a choir backing and so haunting. Can i suggest a couple other bands? Within Tempation - Shed My Skin. Also Visions of Atlantis - Clocks
This is such a great song. Very very good. Also You should check out some more Nightwish but this time with Tarja & the song is The Siren(from the End of an Era concert). Also Amaranthe is another band you should check out.

I was at this concert and had tears in my eyes, Apocalyptica sometimes have guestsingers, but is just the three musicians.

Best done with a Zippo. The cheap plastic lighters can easily overheat and cause one a highly unpleasant sensory experience.
