    The fireplace looks great . Is the trim that you added included with the fire place or is that an option ?

    Great video! Does it give off heat though?

    • @moderngreyfarmhouse
      @moderngreyfarmhouse  3 года назад +2

      Thanks! Yes it does. It can run the flames with or without the heat turned on.

    Love this so much! How far is the base fireplace from the floor? Thanks!

      It’s about 12” off the floor. We still are in love with this fireplace.

    How much did that setup cost?

    • @moderngreyfarmhouse
      @moderngreyfarmhouse  4 года назад +4

      The shiplap was just around $345. The wood to build out the frame was right around $100 including the screws. The fireplace itself was $1500. The fireplace is 74". The wall buildout is 10' in height and 8' wide. $1945 total.

      Lets TRY this. Thanks so much. It’s hard to know what you want to do with your living room without context of how much options cost. Thanks!

      Where did you find the fireplace for that price? I’ve been looking online and cannot find it for under 2500.

      Jessica Hemley when I bought it I searched and searched and found the Excite REL5 at Decor Planet a big sale because Dimplex no longer offers it. Its is the same look as the Ignite XL but shorter warranty period.

    Hard to hear this transparency of the 'no choice' $1000 longer warranty cost. Shouldn't that be enough to cover for like 20 yrs?

    Whats the component between the fireplace and the tv? any issues with heat and that component and with the tv?

    • @moderngreyfarmhouse

      That area we painted black inside and we store our Roku and sound bar in there. In my channel I have how we built the surround and you can see how we created that area. The heat projects forward, we have not had any issues, although we do not use the heat often.

    Hi do you have the exact measurements I need, I have built the frame with the measurements from Dimplex this was 16" x 74-1/2". I've just watch your video for building the frame and it shows the frame at 16"x77" is this right?

    • @moderngreyfarmhouse
      @moderngreyfarmhouse  3 года назад +1

      The wood is cut at 77 5/8" to accommodate the 2 - 2x4's that sit on top of it. So the interior dimensions will still be at 74 5/8" We cut ousr at 5/8" rather than 1/4" because that was the best fit in order to get the fireplace in and out if needed. The shiplap and trim covers any minor gapping that is left.

    What type of plug does it have, you stated it's not a regular plug in

    • @moderngreyfarmhouse
      @moderngreyfarmhouse  3 года назад

      It has to be hardwired into the electrical wire from the wall. We accessed ours from behind our plug-in outlet.

      We didn’t add any and the install instructions didn’t say it was required.
