  • Hi Cruisers, We are totally stoked to bring you a look at the Reliefband motion sickness band for a cruise. We were looking at new things to help with motion sickness on a cruise, and we came across this really cool looking relief band device called the Reliefband Neurowave. It was one of the Reliefband CES products for 2017. We contacted Reliefband for more information, but the Reliefband Neurowave doesn't come out until April 2017. The good news for us is that Reliefband was kind enough to send out the next best thing. So we've got a terrific opportunity to do a Reliefband review for you. Reliefband sent this out to us for free, but we aren't being paid, so we can give our honest opinion. If you suffer from seasickness on cruise, then you'll definitely want to watch this episode. We've done previous videos looking for a motion sickness cure, and seasickness remedies, and even looked at an inexpensive motion sickness band, but this product is something entirely different. In this video we'll take a good look at the Reliefband instructions, and ponder the ultimate about the relief band does it work? See some of our previous motion sickness videos here: • Avoiding Sea Sickness ... Check out Reliefband's video on how the Reliefband works: • Nausea & Vomiting - Ho...

These are great and work well, I have done 20 cruises since 2017, I used the band on 16 of my cruises, I get sea sick, I used to take drugs which made me feel sleepy, the band stops the sea sickness with no side effects of drugs, and you can drink alcohol , its worth every cent

Had to use mobile data to see the livestream but it was all worth it to hear all of the great tips and mistakes from other cruisers so I won’t make any of them on my next cruise in April 2019

I'm going to stick with Ginger Trips. Chew one at first signs of icky tummy and signs are gone within seconds. Plus, the bottle isn't expensive. :)

Is there just one Ginger Trips? Is that the one by Solaray? I've never heard of this but I searched on Amazon and all I see is from Solaray. :)

Going on my 1st cruise in June on Carnival Horizon 🎉🎉🎊. I've been on smaller boats i.e. party yachts and catamarans, etc, and I've never had a problem. However, I'm not willing to take that chance on a 8 night cruise with 4 sea days. My question would be if the this device could possibly work on a person with carpal tunnel syndrome? Thanks for all of the help your channels provide.

In regards to the conductive gel, you can make your own and it can be far cheaper than buying the branded ones. Either google search "make your own conductive gel" or you can, as i do, just mix 1tbls of table salt, into 100ml of your favorite gel (aloe vera gel is nice), mix until salt has dissolved and you are done. It's really not that critical if the salt amount is a bit more or a bit less.

Hey Sheri, what bands do you wear and would you prefer? Do you prefer going the more expensive route and getting these high tech bands or rather go with the more inexpensive route and getting the sea bands or psi bands that are made of the more rubber material? Please let me know what you think is the best option.

Hey Sheri! So luckily I dont suffer from seasickness but some of the folks I cruise with do on occasion, especially on smaller vessels. One thing that you didn't mention and maybe I just noticed because I'm a tech guy is "what about power?" It seems to be battery operated, is an a common size or easy to swap out? It would suck for someone to have it die on them on day 2 of an 8 day cruise or something. Like your Hubby I like to have my stash of cables and battery packs etc all charged up and organized so they are easy to find should I need something.

+jimjaz01 hey Jimmy. I'm really glad you brought this up. Thanks to your comment, My husband researched it before we posted the video on Facebook and we have placed some links to the batteries on our website. My understanding is that they are long-lasting and relatively easy to replace. I like your stash idea. I'm not really that organized except when it comes to making sure that my phone is always fully charge when I'm traveling. Otherwise I leave it to hubby to carry the "gear bag" as we call it!

Wonder if it would work to relieve the nausea I get from my migraines?? I like this idea more than the Scopalomine patches - the ones people wear behind their ears. I know so many people who had bad reactions to them - seriously bad reactions. I rarely get sea sick (maybe on a small boat - shore excursion), usually Dramamine or Bonnie work (or ginger tea). My friend Nancy always gets some seasickness when there are rough seas, and I got her an all natural homeopathic product from the gift shop (a little tube like lipstick rolled on her wrists). It actually worked! The ship personnel told her to try thin slices of green apple - didn't work. I have also been told that you should try to focus on one specific point - keep your eyes on a painting in the cabin - keep your head still. That did help someone I knew!!
Very interesting new product. Wonder if it's like a TENS unit on an acupressure point?

+bonnie bergstein I think it does work using the same concepts! One thing I found interesting that I did not mention in the video so you only wear it on one wrist

Just wondering if the "New" band is the one on Amazon or will I still be getting the old one if I order now? If so I don't see a link from your marketplace! Am I missing it?

Hi Ginger, It is still not out. They said the target release was April, so we'll keep an eye on their website.
