I feel for Justin Bell. I don't know all that much about his racing career or his ability or reputation, but he did all he could. Well done Justin Bell. But a bit like Benoit Treluyer in the R18 at the 2011 race JJ Lehto was on fire, setting unbelievable times, reported as 30 seconds faster than anyone else in the Mclaren in the wet at night. How do you cope with that. Wonderful stuff. I keep coming back to this race.
Driving in heavy rain is hella dangerous and exhausting. I did yesterday 258kph on the Autobahn here in Bavaria on dry ground at 24°. With a proper suspension set up no issues at all. Car was steady even on little bumps on the A6 Highway. But in rain I would never drive like this.
1995 was a great year for le mans... skylines, supras, F40s, mclaren F1s... sports car racing as it should be :)

With the chicanes on the Mulsanne Straight, I doubt it. If they weren't there, I reckon it would've.
@@colinstewart1432very unlikely(pretty much impossible) they would get near that considering all the aero parts reduce top speed.
@JJJZ, u bet! back then, lemans was more fun to watch thanks to it's diverse auto manufacturers, but now, it as very few car types.
