I can't help but feel Medvedev didn't thank the fans on purpose. Especially when he ended the speech with ... " Last but not the least ... (dramatic pause) ... I just wanted thank my team once again".
And honestly no one can blame him. I'm the biggest Rafa fan and I understand that Daniil feels really hard done by the crowd.
Best wishes to you Daniil. Stay strong.

It was a very beautiful match for sure, however, it's a pity what Medvedev had to face during the whole match from the crowd, after his match he literally said the dreams he had during his childhood were gone, he felt disappointed by how the crowd could treat someone, whenever someone in the crowd was screaming to support Medvedev, everyone was trying to shut this person, facing this during 5h might be though asf, i don't think Nadal would have won at all if crowd would be booing him all the time

After Novak beat Rafa at the french in 2021, i was in awe. I think that loss was in the back of his mind during this match when he was down and it drove Rafa to dig deep for this championship at the end. So glad to see Rafa finally get that second australian, 13 years after his first, and after multiple lost australian finals, i’ve been watching and hoping every year for this.
