@@Free-JackWolff Nah, I come to Adkins’ channel for both. I’d much rather listen to Poyer speak and share than Steven Seagal, and everybody knows who he is.
Hong Kong Martial Arts movies from the 70s, 80s and 90s are the best movies. And a large part of my childhood especially Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao. My heroes forever 😁👍
I really appreciate that actors and stuntmen put themselves through the ringer for a movie. Lots of stories about injuries and near death experiences behind the scenes.
@@ven9276 thanks a lot - great things are happening at the moment al always dreamt to be an action actor, and that fight with Jackie was My hardest fight to do ever as it was my first movie, but best life lesson ever... All the best Ven !
I’m all for a Jude Poyer series of interviews. I watched Millionaire’s Express for the whatever’th time, then watched Hong Kong Legends’ “Heromakers” doc back to back with this interview. The man’s got a wealth of information and he’s a joy to listen to, and this is coming from someone who’s been watching the stuff for…20+ years.
I could watch breakdowns on this stuff all day. Can we go to a Joe Rogan 3 hour format, please? In all seriousness Scott thank you for doing these, these are just fantastic showcases and anyone who has grown up an action film fan just adores everything you are doing here. This has been a great delight during quarantine and a highlight of my week, thanks again.
Scott you are simply amazing man, nowdays nobody is doing what you are currently doing dude, i highly appreciate this, you keep making these kind of episodes and we keep watching!! Love from India man 🙏
It's so amazing to see how these stunt men survive these great falls, it takes alot of guts. Jackie Chan doing his own stunts gets alot of respect from fans and film crew. Thanks Scott👍
Love this! I grew up watching HK action movies with my Dad, who is from HK, so this brings back so many great memories. Project A, etc,...all classics. Jude’s Cantonese is not bad as well.
I enjoyed this one much more than I thought I would!! This series is pure gold! Every episode is magnificent! I hope this series goes on for ever!!!!!!
It's so awesome for Scott Adkins to be doing this. To have other great martial artists and/or action actors talk about how they got to where they are, their insights and opinions, their injuries, their experience on action and etc. It's so awesome to hear their side of their story.
I enjoy so much watching these interviews. When I was young there was little access to movies like these especially if you lived in a small town here in Finland.
This might be my favourite episode of this show. Very informative, insightfull and entertaining to say the least. I've followed and watched Hong Kong action films since the 80's as a kid and to learn about all this stuff now is simply incredible. Thank you Scott for bringing Jude Poyer on to the show and for having Jude share his knowledge and experience with Hong Kong action films and stunts. Absolutely brilliant stuff, I love it.
Literally the best thing to come out of Covid. These are absolutely awesome. Really nice to hear from people behind the camera that we wouldn’t normally give much credit to. Please keep them coming!!!
Beautiful episode!!! This was mostly about the unsung heroes of action movies; who with their falls, injuries, and accidents have created iconic stunt scenes that have become the stuff of martial arts cinema legend!!! For every martial arts hero; there is always a team of stunt players and stunt coordinators that toil over scenes and literally suffer for their art to make the scenes look amazing (and painful)!!! Mr. Poyer is an incredible stuntman and Stunt Coordinator; and his actually being there for many of those classic Hong Kong movies' stunts adds a gravitas to the entire discussion!!! So many harrowing stories of stunts gone wrong!!! Thanks you, Scott; for creating another phenomenal installment of The Art of Action!!! I will eagerly await your next teaser!!!
This was my favourite episode. I love hearing about these behind the scenes stories. Jude's knowledge and experience is amazing. What a legend. Thanks for this series, Scott. You're a true talent of the genre and an incredible performer.
This is actually been one of my favorite episodes Scott! Please do a part 2 with Jude because I feel he has soooo much more knowledge and cool footage to share, plus you never said goodby at the end, which tells me the interview isn’t over 😉 Oh and could you please do interviews with Iko Uwais, Chuck Norris, JCVD, Jason Statham, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Takashi Miike, Tak Sachagushi, Sammo Hung, Tiger Chen, Wilson Yip, Woo-Ping Yuen, Jeeja Yanin, Yayan Ruhian, Cecep Arif Rahman, etc..🙏
You sir Mr Scott adkins is my new latest idol what a awesome all rounded martial artist and such a ffing sound top guy overall, the avengement film is ffing mega !!!
Love the inside detail Jude gave. Hopefully he'll be back for a part two with some more great clips. Lol Scott, you got to kick back on this interview and let Jude run it.
Forever grateful for these interviews takes me back to my youth trying to copy these moves, without a shadow of a doubt one of the best channels on YT. just a suggestion Mark Houghton.
The talent, skill and dedication of the people involved with stunts like these are astonishing. Loved the amount of behind the scenes information, great show!
Again, great show. Thank you mr. Poyer for breaking down these amazing stunts and the inside info. As a martial action fan, I always look forward to the next interview. Thanks again mr. Adkins for doing this!

This is the best new RUclips series in a long time - you've got something very special here Scott I look forward to seeing more of these wonderful interviews.
This is a really underrated episode (based on views). The breakdown of this type of action is something that 20 years ago was considered a pandora's box secret, and only those who worked in the Hong Kong industry knew how to access it. Thank you Scott for getting Jude to talk about this subject, and a huge thanks to Jude for breaking a lot of this stuff down. 🙏🏼 PS A big shoutout to Chin Kar Lok...this is guy is incredible.
I wasn't as interested in this episode at first because I didn't recognize the name, but it wound up being my favorite so far. Fantastic, in-depth knowledge and analysis! I love learning more about the classic Honk Kong action movies. Keep it up.
Im a huge Jackie fan, and saw quite a lot of his movies, especially the HK stuff. And thats when i was introduced with Sammo and Yuen, though it is ultra hard to find some of Sammo and Yuen HK movies, even torrent dont have some of the films, im still hunting for Yuen Biao - On the Run 1988.
