How ironic that so many huns say "this is exactly like having an Amazon affiliate" but when their company moves to actual affiliate marketing, they have a meltdown. Do not be fooled by MLMers saying it's just affiliate marketing. It is not, it is a pyramid scheme.

Hannah may feel bad, but I don't. These huns are the top pyramid earners and thus the most parasitic of all the huns duping people into thinking anyone can be like them. Naive new huns I feel bad for because they don't know it's a pyramid scheme when they fail to make money above minimum wage from selling products (then get screamed at for not trying hard enough when they want to leave).
But these high up huns ABSOLUTELY DO know it's nothing but a house of cards built on a pyramid and a downline: money is only made by recruiting humans and NOT the products.
So them losing that recruitment payment.... I'm not crying about it.
'Grats BossBabes, duping people got ya this FAFO moment. Karma is a biatch.

To be fair, they Re totally told they own their own business and just cutting out the middle man, like Rite Aid or Sephardic. They are told they are having business meetings at 6am (where they are coached to do facebook lives as their marketing). On the surface, they feel like they are making decisions and in control of their own business! A little time and a little digging will shine the full moon light onto what is true and real... if they WANT to see it.❤❤

First of all, how many cameras does she have in her house? We saw angles from her office, her patio, her bedroom and her bathroom. So either her entire life is on film at all times, or she moved her camera around the house with her to get those shots. Set up the cameras, started recording, got into bed, had a little cry, got back up, moved the camera to the bathroom, started recording, left the bathroom just to walk back in all Sad Face.... I just can't.

I'm in the process of decorating my spare bedroom that I use as an office and as I'd been inspired by many RUclips videos, I thought about filming my own office transformation. In the end, as I have no desire to really do RUclips and don't want to risk my image being online, I chose not to film it. I also didn't want to go through the logistics of planning where to place the camera while working. One of the items was a large arm chair and I just set it up tonight on my own.
Let me tell you: it was NOT a flattering process 😂. I was sweaty, and cussing and struggling without another set of hands. I conquered that damn chair, though, and am sitting in it right now (the "Beautiful" boucle chair from Drew Berrymore's line with Walmart in sage green, if curious. I wanted the Neva daybed chair from Six Penny but I ain't got Six Penny pennies 😂).
Building furniture is already hellish, I now see I would hate also having to film it, to act a certain way, to stage shots, and pretty much be unnatural. And that's still way more respectable than being in an MLM or crying over one dissolving, lol. So yes, I'm also amazed that they would real ass stage a "grief" video over the collapse of an MLM, go through all of the planning, think up and write out captions, edit it, and upload it like we don't see through how fake it is 😅

It's the same old story that happens in a lot of high control groups (cults): some (many) of the perpetrators used to be or are still victims themselves. If you got recruited I to an abusive cult and get abused, but then recruit others and continue the abuse towards others, you become a perpetrator despite starting out as a victim. If you fell victim to a scam but then continue to scam others - you turn into a perpetrator. Even if you're still brainwashed, manipulated, and scammed, you are still a perpetrator it you scam others. That's why many perpetrators in high control groups are victims also, or at least started out that way.

She jumped into MLM with Younique and quickly took off; she’s fairly good at team building. The money was pouring in to the point she was the sole income earner of her family. She is a hot-head though and will leave a company virtually overnight. She’s gone through *numerous* MLM companies and because of her lashing out temper, she’s burned bridges. But here’s the thing: she expects her team and customers to follow her blindly from company to company and, MAN, don’t you dare question her as to why. As someone who was laid off, this is why you shouldn't work for an MLM. When I was laid off I was able to take my business skills and get another job, these MLM boss babes can't do any of that. They are going to have to hope they get lucky at another MLM and either take their downline with them or scam new women into a new MLM and of course hope they get in early and can springboard up that ladder.

Exactly! And it’s not always the case, but sometimes you get severance, but not in an MLM.

Am I a horrible person for not having empathy for the huns that are losing their income and having this "identity crisis"? The way they were generating income is so predatory and they are doing it under the guise of helping and empowering woman. I am so not sorry for them

No one who doesn't have empathy for these scammers is a bad person nor lacks empathy. These huns are high level scammers. The same type of person who scams old people through phone scams from other countries (Nigerian prince scam).
Do NOT feel bad for these people. They are no better than mobsters and other financial criminals.

Having used rodan & fields products in the past, I have to say I like that they’re doing away with the MLM portion of their business. I haven’t used R&F for awhile because it’s pricey and I’ve started moving away from MLM’s, but my mom and I actually really liked their products. I started struggling immensely with acne in my 20’s after having little to no issues as a teenager, and their unblemish line helped me tremendously with that.

      @Ssmm321 3 месяца назад +3

I agree. My co worker tried to "recruit" me. I said no to that but agreed to use their products. I have zero regrets - the unblemish line was expensive, but it worked really well for my acne. Maybe other products might have done the same but I didn't have the energy to experiment at that time. I am grateful and say thank you that I stuck with buying and never the MLM scheme.

@@Ssmm321 I guess my mom and I were lucky that our sellers were pretty casual and never tried to recruit us. I don’t think any of them really had ambitions to move up in the company. I use LaRoche Posay’s effaclar line for acne now, as well as some of their other products. It’s not a cheap brand, but I think their products are excellent and you can get deals at drugstores, ulta and the like.

The irony of spending years 'building a team' only to have the entire business model change and to realize that you have basically 'poured into' helping others to cannibalize your own potential customer base has got to be such a mind warp. But to spring back within a week with another scheme in the same vein is so so wild. Like, wow, way to commit... to learning absolutely nothing.

I'm not familiar with the products of either of these companies but i hope more go this way rather than just closing down. Some MLMs genuinely have good products and I would love to buy them if they weren't part of a preditory model and ideally if they were a little cheaper from the removal of the pyramid structure

  • @afrominded

I honestly can't understand their reaction. As a content creator, I promote products that I like. So affiliate marketing is normal and very lucrative. If they build an online presence, why can't they just promote the product as an affiliate? If it's a good product, this shouldn't be a problem, right? Or am I crazy? lol

Crying and jumping ship over not being able to recruit others into the scam only further proves that they are well aware that the only way to make money in those companies is from recruitment. They'll deny it until they are blue in the face and swear the product is the selling point. Yet, here they are having an absolute melt down over the loss of recruitment income.

The irony is that if they are this good at upselling a product, they can make a ton of money from this commission-based model. Just regroup and start spending the same amount of time selling the product yourself, instead of gaining people under you. Build your own customer base like you recruited people to sell under you.

  • @karantha333

If they still have sales quotas, wouldn't that mean they still have a rank structure? They don't need to recruit, but now they will be fighting over how many customers and commissions made that each rep has. Now we will see poaching of customers from the 93 percent, by the upper 7 percent.
