Thats weird. Most german games and german versions of game refuse to acknowledge nazis. Even in some real time strategies nazis just cease to be during world war 2 being replaced with some made up forces
@@35november Played lots of games in germany where Nazis were called Nazis or German forces during world war two. It´s just not allowed in germany to show Nazi symbols. Only a hand full of games even cut out Hitler by name and replace it with some other stupid stuff, like the Wolfenstein games. But that´s not so common thankfully. In all older Call of Duties or even Medal of Honor games the german forces still are aknowledged as german forces or even as Nazis.
Well, not to correct you but, the Olympic was actually the more famous before Titanic sank. She was the first to be build and made headlines as the newest and best ship there. It also got damaged in the harbour by a war ship and partially sank but due to her water tight doors she floated. That profed some people that the system does indeed work that they've implemented on the Olympic class. No one thought she would never sink but she was claimed as very safe due to that accident the siter had. Captain smith mentioned i think she was indeed one of the safest ships he comanded but never said anything that she couldn't sink. The amount of Liveboats was actually enough for the time and tonnage. It was actually more then the law required. Most officers knew how to opperate the davids and boats as most of them came from the olympic but sure training dosen't make you prepared for an actual sinking. Apart from that, ineed the tragic was popular due to the famous people on board, the maiden voyage and the unimaginable that happned that a ship with the newes equipment indeed can fully sink fast enough to not get rescued in time.
Probably not the great writer you're expecting, but Morgan Robertson had written in 1898 the short novel "Futility, or the wreck of the Titan" describing the sinking of a ship in similar circumstances to those of the Titanic. There were notable changes in maritime law, it was from thenceforth required that communications be open at all times, having lifeboats depending on the number of passengers and crew it could carry and not tonnage, routes would deviate further south during the season and performing an evacuation drill became mandatory, which on itself could've saved about 500 lives. If that were the case it was most probably the rich and famous who would have occupied those places and the Titanic would perhaps be known today as the most luxurious ship of its time that sunk with a bunch of poor people. I doubt much would be written about it today if that were the case. People were quite interested in the aftermath of course, but I read that with the First World War around the corner, the Russian Revolution, then the 1929 depression and subsequently World War 2 the Titanic wasn't such a big story until the publication of "A night to remember" and its film adaptation. Up until that time it was a prelude to an era of disenchantment, a passing from a time of hope, technology as a means of improvement, from Captain Smith's words of "I think that modern technology makes it practically impossible the sinking of a ship" or so, to those of Officer Lighttoller, who said something like "I think I'll never be sure of anything again".
Oh man, that LGR cameo here is GOLD. Fun fact about that Titanic movie: my dad was a Titanic history buff and he brought me to see the movie. Yeah, that was awkward, made more so by the fact that he spent the 3 hours of running time saying, "That didn't happen. That didn't happen either. It wasn't like that."
Regev Nyström aside from the romantic love story, almost everything else in the1997 movie is very accurate to what was known at the time. They had to go with fictional characters because allows the writer to exoloer the titanic without being restricted to what a historical figures actually did.
@@NazmusLabs Yeah that’s something that I don’t think a lot of people realize. The movie while being named after the ship. Was NEVER about that. It was about the love story between Jack and Rose.
I feel like part of the reason the Titanic is so famous is because of the hubris surrounding the building of the ship itself. "The unsinkable ship" that sank on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic. The tragedy of the man who designed it--WITH enough life boats to save most if not all of the passengers--going down with the ship because he felt he couldn't do enough to convince people to put as many life boats on the ship. The scandal and trial that came after, when the man who nixed the life boats and was ultimately at fault for so many lives lost didn't go down with the ship. But I think it's a recent, real life tale teaching children not to be over-confident in things. Plan for the future, even if you don't think something will go wrong, it CAN.
I agree - I think the build up of the "unsinkable ship" was a major factor in regards to the interest in the Titanic. I also think the time it took to sink was also a major thing; it was a very slow sinking with nothing anybody could do about it, which adds to the intrigue about how people were reacting or what they were doing during that time. The Lusitania also didn't have enough lifeboats just like the Titanic, but it was struck by a Torpedo and sank in about 20 minutes, whereas the Titanic took all night, giving people a lot of thought about what was happening in between. I think that's why movies were made - there was time to focus on the characters in that disastrous state.
PushingUpRoses Well I think was the Titanic incident that put the idea of putting enough lifeboats. the reason it is famous might be also the fact of how the poor were stuck in the lower decks to die when most rich lived. dragonheart333 Of the rich, most of the men died, too, since they weren't letting them on life boats unless they were kids. They were also letting the life boats off the ship far too unloaded. When the people consolidated later, there were like, 10 empty ones or something completely ridiculous like that.
Rathdrgnknight Interesting but it don't surprise me people do dumb thing when they panic. Well what about the sinking because ice that couldn't be common right?
dragonheart333 Typically, people in certain jobs are trained to respond to emergencies. Also, icebergs are actually very dangerous to ships, and the Titanic is just the most famous case. Possibly because they had warnings about the icebergs SEVERAL DAYS ahead of time from other ships to look out for them or to stay their journey until it was safe to pass, or even to take an alternate route. Because the ship was said to be "unsinkable" the crew was too cocky and ignored all of the warnings (this is the hubris I was talking about in my first post.) They were over confident that even if they did hit an iceberg, they wouldn't sink because of the way the ship was designed. What happened proved otherwise.
Hi, my dad is the creator of cyberflix, and this game wouldn’t of existed without him. I’m going to send this review to him since I think he’ll like it a lot. Thank you for reviewing this! :)
Great review! It was a fun game to create and market (I was the marketing director for CyberFlix and I played Buick Rivera, the French card shark). Glad you liked the complex story line and how real history was woven in an out of our fictional adventure. It was our crowning achievement, sold well too!
Rand Cabus years later but, that is sweet! I loved and still love that this game! I started playing it when I was about 7 and have played it at least once a year for the past 20 years! I had my husband buy me a computer just to play this game!
Poe wrote (rather ironically) "There are certain themes for which interest is all-absorbing, but which are entirely too horrible for the purpose of legitimate fiction. These the mere romanticist must eschew if he does not wish to offend or disgust." Perhaps framing tragic stories in historical events allows us to explore disaster and loss in a more relatable, and less dismissable manner- and few disaster stories, their outcomes and their impacts are so ingrained in our conscience than that of the Titanic.
There are many reasons why the Titanic has stuck in everyone's memory, through all these years. 1. It was the biggest and most luxurious ship of its day and ever, to that point in time. 2. It was touted as unsinkable. Combine this with the first factor and you have something that the press, Hollywood, authors and media in general, can latch onto. 3. Number 1 and 2 lead exactly to number 3, which is the amount of famous and rich people on the Titanic. If I'm not mistaken, the richest man alive was traveling on it. Glamour galore. 4. The incompetence and naïveté of the crew and the White Star Line. The captain was the most incompetent. Although, John Smith was actually a superb captain and had 40 years of experience. This was actually his retirement voyage. Nobody really knows why he avoided warnings of ice and was just too fast for those seas. 5. The changes to maritime laws and regulations, as a direct result of the sinking. Many things were changed. You actually had to have enough lifeboats for everybody. All this and more, makes certain that the Titanic remains forever ingrained into our minds.
Perhaps the volume of experience worked against the Captain. This was his last voyage, so perhaps he could just sail through it, for lack of better words. ;) When you have that much experience, I guess your mind kind of goes into "What can go wrong?" mode.
Thanks for this review. I’m visiting the Titanic Museum in Belfast and somehow a random memory from when I was a kid made me search for a game I never got to play about a ship I obsessively studied. It is thought provoking to consider how desperate the situation onboard was and how some true life elements were worked into the game, albeit with tweaks. The baby, for instance, was handed to a young woman by either 2nd Officer Lightoller or 4th Officer Boxhall while boarding a lifeboat, and was reunited with the mother on the Carpathia after they were rescued. It’s just nuts to consider how many individual acts of heroism happened. The baby rocket launcher gag was funny too, I loved that reference.
I love this game: That 90s "realistic movement" engine, the good but quite creepy music... It is one of those few old games I enjoy without the nostalgia factor
Smethells: "It's good to see you up and about. You've been in your cabin the whole voyage." Jontron (with bad lip-sync): "I bought the ticket I'll do what I want."
"No, no. Bad internet, BAD internet! There will be no Titanic movie references in this review what so ever! NONE. ZERO!" Favorite opening in your reviews! XD
Hey, I had to go to alternative school too. Anyway, while I like this game and think it's a worthy effort, the silly wish fulfillment ending REALLY bugged me. I'm sure no one wants a lecture here, but let's just say that the idea that what happens in the course of the game could prevent WWI is total bullshit. And while I'm no fan of the Bolsheviks, I don't think that "the Russian monarchy slaughters all opposition" is a very happy ending.
This review was surprisingly pretty well done. It analyzed the game to a great degree and even brought up thought-provoking ideas. Excellent job, Miss Roses, You have earned my subscription.
My brother and I loved this game so much when I was a kid. The different ending is what made me come back to it. I need to find my copy again as seeing this review made me realise that I haven't played it in about 15 years. The hardest part for me was always getting the painting. I remembered that if you trigger a conversation you overhear the painting would be gone, avoid it and it would be there.
When I played it, it was not in the cargo hold because someone else got it before me. But I was able to get it later; apparently there are a few ways to get it back.
Awesome "Lazy Game Reviews" cameo. I grew up playing this game, but it always crashed on our Windows 95 computer. It wasn't until High School when I had an XP computer that I could play it to completion.
Wow! This was incredible! This game is sooo strange looking, it really stands out! I get that those talking animations must have been there to save disk space, but that meant you had to animate each one of them. What a different concept! A really noteworthy feature and a real testament of time this game is, for late 90's PC gaming that is.
There was a -scandalous- lady who hung out in the bar smoking, and she was great to hang out with. I also remember a weird preacher called Trask who was into spiritualism. And a super duper handsome young German man who studied children’s fairytales. This game had so many fun characters!
Nice to see a positive review for this, it's a criminally underrated game. If it qualifies as one, this is easily the best serious game I've played. I have fond memories of this, remember watching my parents playing it back in the 90s but i didn't have a go myself until about 2006. Didn't really enjoy it though until i studied history and knew a bit about the politics of the time. Pity it doesn't run well (if at all) on modern computers. Even on computers of the time it would crash constantly. I still like the graphics style though, for this sort of thing i actually prefer it over real time 3D, even modern stuff. I'd like to see something new made in a style like this combining the two.
This is a really good review. I played this game growing up as well. I remember my parents played it too. I remember trying to hunt down a strategy guide for this game. The guide was sold out for months around this part and we finally found a copy of the guide and I remember rushing to the Media Play to get it. It was the last one left. My parents aren't gamers and it was so neat that this game brought us together. We would all sit around the computer trying to figure this game out. I am also a big fan of the lift attendant. I just like the way the guy talks. Also thanks for all the facts about this game. You told me a few things I didn't know. Also I remember hearing that Hitler didn't start painting (or wasn't known for painting) 2 years after the Titanic sank. There is a "Making of the Titanic: Adventure out of Time" video on RUclips. I highly recommend watching it if you are interested in this game. There are a few things I didn't know before I started watching it. There is also a video about Riveraa (a fan theory) about him actually being the devil. It is a fun theory I recommend that video as well.
There's a super-detailed hint book for this game and it's also got tons of real-life info about the ship and theorizing about the possibility of time travel and tons of other stuff. There's even a chapter dedicated to walking through the entire game's story in the form of a first person narrative. Never could get very far in the game but I read through that book SO many times.
I still own my copy of this game.... Still have the manuel too. I never got too far into it as a child, and the non-interactible npcs were extremly unsettling.... But one day I'll give it a bettet go. That... and Creatures 2...
Dude that game was a big part of me growing up. I played Adventure Out of Time so much and for some reason never even finished it. Can't believe seeing it again after all these years
A while back I got the chance to go into an exhibit where they had actually brought up a piece of the titanic and some of the personal items that were recovered from it and I have to say, it was a really weird experience. On one hand I love museums and seeing things from other time periods up close, and it was incredible to be standing right in front of these pieces of history, but on the other... it felt a little bit like they dug up a grave site. I remember being hit with a real feeling of sadness for all the people who were trapped and had to die there, not to mention all the people who managed to escape but then drowned, froze, or got eaten by various sea animals. I get that feeling again when I look at media portraying the tragedy, sort of a mystified reverence. I don't think it's wrong to examine it, in fact I think it's good to remember what happened. No one should ever be forgotten.... but... I'd be lying if I said it didn't get to me a little sometimes.
I played that game soooo much back in the days. Been able to finish it with the best endings with no walktrough( I didnt had internet as it was kinda new at the time). Took me forever, but I have very good memory from it. Awesome game!
I played this so much when it came out. It was a random buy because of the movie, and somehow I ended up absolutely loving it. Lol. I played through it so many times. And I remember being blown away by the animations. I thought it was really, really realistic. Also, my disc was scratched, so I never go to finish it. Soooo...thanks for bringing back the memories of me and my bro playing this hidden gem.
Oh god this game!!:O I remember this game when i was really young! I remember being little and not understanding the correlation between your flat being bombed and the titanic, now it makes sense (if time portals makes sense XD) I honestly played it just to walk around the titanic I never even played the story, I just loved walking and exploring! Another great video, keep em coming!
I remember having this game. I probably don't have it anymore, but when I was a kid the look of the game kind of scared me, it was just so unnatural and yet my sister and I both played it at least a few times, enough for it to send "I remember that" vibes when I saw it in a Jon Tron video and then LGR uploaded his Baby Rocket Launcher and now this video.
I remember my parents got this for my sister since my sister and I really liked and completed Myst. I don't know if we ever got a "good" ending with this game. All I remember from playing back then was how "realistic" the graphics were, and how unlike Myst the game had actual transitions from point to point which really helped get an idea where you were and what direction you were facing.
I was so engaged with this game! remember spending a ton of time clicking on all the different objects in the kitchen at the beginning. The idea of powdered eggs fascinated me, and I loved watching the animation of a cockroach scuttling around. I think I probably made it halfway through, where it probably got too difficult for me.
Excellent review of the game. The game's score set such a beautiful melancholy tone. Figuring out the many puzzles with others was extremely fun and brings back such great memories (although I did have to buy the hint book for at least one of the puzzles (probably that nesting doll). Very happy to be a new subscriber.
I have the demo CD-ROM of this game from when I was a kid. It was really intriguing and always made me want the full game. The demo (Lost Chapter?), feels really empty, which actually just adds to the atmosphere and the weight of the inevitable, looming event. Very eerie and beautiful game, demo (and yes, romantic with tragic vibes in every frame and swish of the water, every creak in the room, every bad cockney British accent accompanied with 3 frames of face animation). I really do have to try the full game some day
I studied the Titanic at school, and we had to write diary entries from the point of view of real Titanic passengers. It was really interesting, and I got to be Madeliene Astor, one of the richest people on the ship, and a survivor!
One of my all-time favourite games. Discovered it as a kid and a big Titanic geek. Still love it. Makes me feel nostalgic. I also love that you use music from another favourite of mine: "L.A. Noire". Amazing game!
I remember playing the demo of this game, it was something about taking a picture and showing it to P.P. and that was it. I didn't get it that much because I was like 7 and English is not my native language, but it brings me memories as well. I'd like to play the full version.
This game is currently on Steam for like £1.20 and honestly I’d have bought it if it were £15. So glad I can play it on my newer computer, brings back so much nostalgia for me! Finally finished it tonight with the real diamonds, painting, notebook and Rubaiyat! Only taken me 20 years...
My ex of 15 years ago had this game brand new and played it all the time. Around the same time I was getting into Chrono Cross. I still feel like I had the better game experience.
Best review in the history of all reviews. And the Clint cameo should get an Oscar. Or Webbey, or whatever new-finagled award is used for RUclips things.
A spy adventure centered around the Rubiyat? Reminds me of the real life mystery known as the Taman Shud case or the Somerset man. Seriously, look it up....creepy. oh, and nice video.
When I was really young (like about six or seven) I got really interested in the history of the Titanic. This game was a few years old at the time, but my family's computer was older. So whenever I played it, it would crash all the time because it was just too advanced for the computer to comprehend. And by the time we got a new computer the game was so old it was no longer backwards compatible! So I never really got too far into the game but have lots of memories of it. I think the reason that the sinking of the Goya & the Wilhelm Gustloff aren't discussed as much is that they were not only sunk during war (as were the Lusitania & the Lancastria), but were carrying German civilians during the end days of WWII. At the time events such as those weren't even talked about, it's only with several decades of space that anyone even acknowledged instances of Axis civilians suffering in WWII.
I loved this game when I was younger, it was the only point and click style adventure game that I ever really played I had a strange fascination about the Titanic as a kid(BEFORE the movie came out) I tried getting it to run recently but dosbox isn't my friend and got nowhere. I hope GoG do it one day. IIRC there was even a sequel of sorts hinted it(in your room you have a ticket for the Hindenburg) Anyway I've ranted long enough. Loved this game, glad to see it getting much overdue attention
I remember a paranormal show called My Haunted Child. One episode focused on a little boy who was obsessed with the Titanic and had intimate knowledge of it most people just didn't have, such as the mechanical workings and exact layout. They eventually became convinced that he was a reincarnation of the chief engineer, who perished in the disaster. At one point, the boy played a PC game about the Titanic, where you were supposed to find a specific room by asking around for directions. He went to it immediately without needing any hints. I wonder if it was this game?
I have a few, very vivid memories of this game as a kid. I had the Mac OS version. There was a bug, or I didn't install it properly, that caused the volume to reset to maximum whenever I started the game. If you heard the main menu music, you'd know how scary that could be to a seven year old. I usually plugged something into the headphone jack to silence the game until I turned the volume down. Another memory I have is being so scared about the bomb to defuse that I just quit the game and never looked back. By the way, it is possible to play this game via DOSBox. There is a preconfigured version ready to go somewhere online. I installed it a few months ago and gave this game another go. Never finished it.
the reason so many movies and books where made about the titanic is because the ship was considered unsinkable. yet it sunk. the irony of that has people intrigue about the sinking. so we get movies and books and even video games.
Haha, this is probably the strangest cameo I've done so far… Awesome review, too!
But it worked out beautifully!
That scene will haunt my nightmares now..
"Nyeeehhhh..."
it might be the greatest cameo in all of cameo-history

Glad you liked the complex story line and how real history was woven in an out of our fictional adventure. It was our crowning achievement, sold well too!
Rand Cabus years later but, that is sweet! I loved and still love that this game! I started playing it when I was about 7 and have played it at least once a year for the past 20 years! I had my husband buy me a computer just to play this game!
Thanks for the card, Buick!

+1 for LGR stop-motion cameo.
Also for baby launcher.
ShasOFaiz the baby launcher made me laugh. And LGR cameo was great
Poe wrote (rather ironically) "There are certain themes for which interest is all-absorbing, but which are entirely too horrible for the purpose of legitimate fiction. These the mere romanticist must eschew if he does not wish to offend or disgust."
Perhaps framing tragic stories in historical events allows us to explore disaster and loss in a more relatable, and less dismissable manner- and few disaster stories, their outcomes and their impacts are so ingrained in our conscience than that of the Titanic.
I heard that Gabriel Knight music, Roses. I love recognising the music in your videos, it's like my own little meta-game.
The feeling is mutual for your videos, sir!
PushingUpRoses everybody lovea everybody :3
Nice use of LA Noire's music
PushingUpRoses
actually he was under eminence pressure to make the maiden voyage as fast as possible other wise he probably would have slowed down
In other words... its just a great background plot. The others aren't as memorable.
+bean420man The Titanic was like American Muscle cars from the 70's. Big, fast and flamboyant, but can't turn for shit.
"SS Andrea Doria: The Movie"
You've been in your cabin the whole voyage."
Jontron (with bad lip-sync): "I bought the ticket I'll do what I want."
8:53 - the star of "Saved From the Titanic" was silent film star Dorothy Gibson, who actually was rescued from the Titanic
Aah no rapping dog from the animated Titanic movie joke. Also the animations reminds of Angela Anaconda.
"No, no. Bad internet, BAD internet! There will be no Titanic movie references in this review what so ever! NONE. ZERO!"
Favorite opening in your reviews! XD
Me too
I hated that Celine Dion song in 1997, and I still hate it today.
That was cringey.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES EVER!!!! I love everything Titanic!!!
nice. I'd never heard about this game till then. thanks
love the Lazy Game Reviews cameo :)
Also, the music for this game was just wonderful. Check out the soundtrack for the Cafe Parisienne.
Love this game still holds up 20 years later
Hey, I had to go to alternative school too. Anyway, while I like this game and think it's a worthy effort, the silly wish fulfillment ending REALLY bugged me. I'm sure no one wants a lecture here, but let's just say that the idea that what happens in the course of the game could prevent WWI is total bullshit. And while I'm no fan of the Bolsheviks, I don't think that "the Russian monarchy slaughters all opposition" is a very happy ending.
It was a nice surprise to hear L.A. Noire soundtrack ("New Beginning") in the video. Great review, as always.
I love that game and the soundtrack. Beautiful stuff.
Refreshing to see someone to reviews on older games that were a part of my childhood! Well done!
This review was surprisingly pretty well done. It analyzed the game to a great degree and even brought up thought-provoking ideas. Excellent job, Miss Roses, You have earned my subscription.
Thank you very much.
PushingUpRoses I look forward to your future content!
my 7th grade English teacher played this game on a computer plugged into a projector and we yelled out what we wanted her to do. That was a fun day.
Colleen Buikema That sounds awesome!
I love your channel! These videos are fine pieces of cultural history, and well produced. Keep up the good work.
Great video! You’re one of the best reviewers of PC games on RUclips!
Awesome "Lazy Game Reviews" cameo. I grew up playing this game, but it always crashed on our Windows 95 computer. It wasn't until High School when I had an XP computer that I could play it to completion.
Great review and great game this was the PC game of my childhood so many memory's being confused as hell but loving exploring the ship.
Been playing this game since 1999! Still play it every now and then. Classic!
Nnnnnnno! NnnnnnnOOO! Bad Titanic! Bad, bad Titanic!
*violently wags finger*
This and Shivers was my jam back in 1999, I need to go back and play those again.
This game actually looks interesting, will play it on my Windows98 RetroGaming Machine
Omg I can't believe I found a review on this game! I had nearly forgotten about it...didn't quite make it very far playing as a kid though lol
I'd like to see something new made in a style like this combining the two.
bought this today! Can't wait to play it and walkthrough it! Thanks for the great review roses! I love all the adventure game love you give!
It makes the video more epic with the voice of the doctor LGR
this game and DUST need more love
Honestly stop-motion animation is one of the best parts of the game and does not look too bad years latter.
You and LGR should do a playthrough of this! One of my favorite games of all time, for sure.
I know Jontron played this a little but I was wanting someone to do a full review of this great game! THANK YOU!
Yeah, it definitely deserved a full review. It's a solid game.
AGREED!
2:20 "I bought the ticket, I'll do what I want"
I loved that game! Thanks for reminding me of it. I wish I could play it again.
gave a thumbs up for the nostalgia trip (this game is nestled in my gargantuan IBM Thinkpad laptop bag) and the L.A. Noire music in the last few mins
Can't believe seeing it again after all these years
this was actually the very first pc game I ever played
This is one my favorite childhood memories, along with Dust and The Sims etc.
Omg, this is my jam. THIS IS MY JAM!!!
I GOTTA bump this with the recent developments!
Funny how I was wishing yesterday that you had done a video for this game..and my wish was answered
“I bought the ticket, I’ll do what I want!”
Also your hair is amazing. Green hair is the best hair
My god, woman, I love you doing this.
True fact, Celine Dion represented Switzerland in the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest with Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi and won the contest.
Not to mention, she only won by 1 point, just ahead of the UK if I remember correctly.
+Headphone Jack indeed. Imagine if it were the U.K. that won, Celine wouldn't be that famous.
Ever since I saw this referenced in a JonTron episode I've wanted to know what it was actually about! thanks, PUR
Oh my god, the LGR cameo gave me SUCH major Angela Anaconda flashbacks. God bless you two for that nostalgia hit.
This was one of my favorite PC games growing up. I never got to finish it though, because it would always crash at the same place towards the end
(0:27) Then, let’s try another kind of reference.
Party Time! It’s Party Time! Everybody’s feeling lucky cuz it’s Party Time!
oh man...I have fond memories of this game. spent hours playing it!
I sadly never got to play this as a kid but thankfully I can play it now since I found a copy of it yesterday at goodwill !
I was hoping you would run into Max Seidelmann, whom JonTron thinks is Jim Belushi hiding from his involvement with Hoodwinked.
My ex of 15 years ago had this game brand new and played it all the time. Around the same time I was getting into Chrono Cross. I still feel like I had the better game experience.
When I heard of this game, I had to look it up, I didn’t think it would be you reviewing it
Best review in the history of all reviews. And the Clint cameo should get an Oscar. Or Webbey, or whatever new-finagled award is used for RUclips things.
Best cameo award.
A spy adventure centered around the Rubiyat? Reminds me of the real life mystery known as the Taman Shud case or the Somerset man. Seriously, look it up....creepy. oh, and nice video.
1:58 The Rock, Spock, and that guy. 🖖🤣
I loved this game when I was younger, it was the only point and click style adventure game that I ever really played I had a strange fascination about the Titanic as a kid(BEFORE the movie came out)
I tried getting it to run recently but dosbox isn't my friend and got nowhere. I hope GoG do it one day.
IIRC there was even a sequel of sorts hinted it(in your room you have a ticket for the Hindenburg)
Anyway I've ranted long enough. Loved this game, glad to see it getting much overdue attention
Ahh, well that may be your problem. This game isn't a DOS game, so it won't run on DOS! It WILL run on a Windows 98 Virtual Machine, though.
To answer your question at the end, while I would say it's "weird", I'm not necessarily sure I'd say it's "wrong" per se.
xD Bwhahahaha! That LGR cameo is hilarious!
This vid just shows how this game was seriously without a doubt AHEAD OF IT'S TIME. No pun intended.. but seriously.
2:10 That was PERFECT! 😂 I loved that game when I was a kid but I never managed to get the good ending~ 😆
i absolutely loved this game as a kid. it scared the hell out of me though haha. also, love the la noire music in the background. Classy
I loved this game too. It’s looked stunning for the time. It twins nicely with The Last Express.
Titanic Honor and Glory is also coming to pc, I love the titanic and all the history of it
The LGR cameo o.O
Do you ever stop getting more brilliant?
I like this review. So smooth
the reason so many movies and books where made about the titanic is because the ship was considered unsinkable. yet it sunk. the irony of that has people intrigue about the sinking. so we get movies and books and even video games.
Great review Roses, could ya do another collaboration with LGR in the future?
