Joe was born a guitarist and will always be a guitarist until his last breath. And this is why I've got big respect and admiration for this man. You're one of my inspiration and heroes, Joe, keep on rocking. God bless.
Wait...No tour of the master bedroom so Joe can look at the camera and say "And this is where the magic happens"? I feel cheated. Great tour of Nerdville 615 - thank you! Your pal - Pud Pullen.
I have a question for Joe: You say "It doesn't have to be old to be great". So, are you using any non-historic Les Pauls? Obviously, you love to use Les Pauls from the '50's-'60 (and who wouldn't). I'm curious to know what you think of the modern reissues, regular LP standards, Tributes, and Epiphones.
Well there was those two that wanted a new guitarist to replace Joe in the band Joe started with. The manager was smart enough to say good-bye to those two and stuck with Joe.
Beside the fact that Mr B is a crushing player, he is just a cool guy. He makes no apologies for the fact that, like myself, buying stuff makes him happy.
Been a fan since I saw a special on Vermont Public Television pledge drive about 10 years ago and they were giving tickets to a show here in Montreal if you pledged. Well, when I watched the pledge show and they put Joe on, my jaw dropped. I was amazed at his playing technique and what seemed a real blues mojo for such a young player( at the time). I have his CD in the car radio of himself and the fantastic, amazing new Queen of the Blues, Beth Hart ( Live in Amsterdam), aside from many other cd’s of his music. It’s set on “RPT” and it goes wherever I go. I wish Joe the best on his journey with the Blues and I really feel that he’s now carrying the Torch for the sound, the feeling, we call the Blues. Keep on Rocking! 🤘🎸🇨🇦. And you played with Joanna Connor, kudos my man, well done.... she’s also on my RUclips subscriber list. The greatest tribute I witnessed, by Joe when he did the Royal Albert Hall concert, was when he played THE Strat of the Ages, the ‘61 Strat that was played by my ULTIMATE ( sorry Joe ) Blues guitarist, the late Great Rory Gallagher, who I’ve followed religiously since 1973, when I bought Tattoo, which 47 years later, I still have the original vinyl. Thanks Joe for that 🤟🏻🤟🏻 , it was a great memory.
I love his attitude. Guitars are tools, spot on. He is the sort of guy who if you met him he would hand you is quarter of a million pound Les Paul to have a go on.
Thank you Joe! I live out my guitar geekiness through your videos. I could never afford even one of those priceless instruments, but I get to see them, hear them, and learn their story from you. How cool is that! I appreciate your openess and willingness to share yourself and your passion with us lowly musicians (guitar freeks). Your music is salve to the soul, espresso for the spirit! I love your Redemption CD, and when you team with Beth Hart... Oh, the house is burnin' down! Great stuff Mr. Bonamassa! May God bless you and keep you strong and healthy. We need more musicians like you, humble, kind, giving, and down to earth. Two thumbs up! I'd give you more, but I only have two...
_"This is a 1945, pine body, K&F lap steel."_ Look how matter-of-fact he is about that instrument. *F as in Leo Fender.* That's the first ever Fender guitar, people. That's where it all started.
I saw him several years ago and he stood outside in the rain for an hour after the show meeting fans and signing autographs. Got to meet him and get a picture. He's the man.
Love this guy....I like how he uses them....yeah he's a collector...but he doesn't just look at them...for that reason...he's great...guitars need to be played...even my modest modern selection tele...strat..les Paul junior...ibenez George Benson GB10..plus probably 8 more different others...etc all need playing...actually I struggle rotating them as I work and play for fun...in fact my old bc rich gunslinger usa has not been used for 2 years due to that damm les Paul junior lol...I'd probably find its neck too skinny now...
You're the only artist I have seen multiple times in concert. My favorite to say the least. And the way you give like these videos. Been through a bad time and stopped playing, working on, doing anything with guitar. As soon as i start back after 8 months I see this video. Thank you. I am a disabled veteran with not any reason to smile. You left me smiling.
Seeing his vintage tube tester makes me want to see his NOS vintage tube collection. I would really nerd out on that. You know he has thousands stashed somewhere.
The sign that he bought in Birmingham Alabama was at Highland Music. He bought a KLON from there too. It's my buddy Don's place. Very vibey. I mean, Joe shops there.
Wow that nocaster is truly insane😍I'll never be able to have this, so I'll just keep listening to you playing it🥲 Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece with us😊
I'd turn up my hearing aid! LOL Actually I don't have a hearing aid, but if a hearing aid would tune in to Joe playing his guitar over all the miles, highways & byways, hills & valleys, I'd get one real quick! 😂 😃 😊
So WOW! This made my night. Got to actually sit back tonight and enjoy some videos and here comes Joe. I totally enjoyed this, it was almost like being there. I sat at my computer and grabbed my Strat plucked some strings and got to hang with Joe Bonamassa. Awesome. And when you pulled out that Gold Top I lost it. So want one bad. Awesome Awesome time Joe.
Would love to be the fly on the wall hearing the conversations between Joe and his GF as he decorates the house or buys another guitar, I am certain it is different then the ones the rest of us have! lol
Thanks joe love your channel and your music it's always playing in my house great to see one my idol's so humble and gracious... 🎸🎼🎶🎵🎶🎵 Truly one of my hero's thanks Mark from Australia...
I love old worked guitars. No over priced Gibson Stolen Valor guitars here. Thank you Joe for being real and keeping guard at the gate to Guitar Heaven...
I love that all of these get used or just played for fun of not on tour. Would be a shame if all collectors hid away the great collections of things and history for no body else to ever see, hear and just enjoy. Good on you Joe.
The bloom on those notes from Lazarus 🥰 And I've never heard a Nocaster that sounded like that. That middle position ...gah! Thank you Joe for being a regular Joe instead of a rock star
Waitin for American pickers to do visit to nerdville, mike, frank and joe, kindered spirits in vintage relics , true treasure to some like me and you joe , also waiting for history channel to give you your own show, hey I would watch seriously, if the six stringer guitar god gig, hits brick wall, you got future as story teller on history channel, ..... once a again just kidding , but all true joe
On this episode, I sit on my couch and play 20 years worth of a teacher's salary (kidding....love Joe and all his collection...thank you for keeping the Blues relevant).
Joe ..your gift is from a HEAVEN....one of a kind..the love you have moved music. Too a new level. .and you feel music.and play the love..thank you Joe.. No one can touch your love or feeling...keep it up. Love you new song.....can not hear enough .love your voice..feeling..the notes..living your life your way.....
I know people don't like to clean their maple boards but that Nocaster is offensive looking. Does that feel nice to play? What if that grime doesn't all come from you?
Steven Edwards Not so much grime, just that the thin nitro finish on the board has worn away and what’s left is just raw wood that has picked up some staining just from normal playing over the past 60 or 70 years. I don’t think it necessarily means that there is a bunch of built-up grime on there all the time, plus the finish on the board is so thin that it isn’t really noticeable when you’re playing it. There aren’t really any divots you can feel between the remaining nitro finish and the worn-off nitro finish, so playing isn’t effected very much if at all.
THANKS JOE......I USED TO HAUNT FILLMORE EAST BACK IN THE DAY...I GET NERDVILLE EAST....I AM A LIFELONG GUITAR PLAYER.......MARTIN GROSH.LES.......I LOVE THIS GUY...ALL THINGS GUITAR.

The "Loreley" is really fantastic - the guitar and the place in Germany. Thank you very much for sharing the history of your instruments, Mr. Bonamassa. I have learned a lot. You are always welcome in Germany.
So Guitar Centre thought is was very important that Joe's voice was clearly heard but forgot about the '59 of which was all about..... and all the other wonderful vintage guitars.

What an incredible exceptional collection... how fun to hear you explain all this great stuff. Knowledge is off the charts of history for all of it. You’re an old soul Joe! 💖😎
"All great amplifiers don't have to be tube" Maybe they will finally listen now that it's coming from you. Or they will give negative comments. As usual. Thanks Joe for this great episode. Love your videos and of course your performances a lot of which are on blu-ray and DVD of which I own. Cheers!
STSGuitar16 ......Joe said “Not ALL SS amps are bad” I agree. However, let me clarify for my remark by saying that I would only qualify a high quality SS amp that is able to stand up to the tonal palette of a tube amp and there are very few. Most tube snobs (such as myself) have stated that nothing beats a tube amp and yes in most all cases that is true but there are some SS amps that have proven to be excellent amps. The old Gibson L5 and Roland Jazz Chorus amps come to mind. And some of the high end analog/digital amp designs are doing wonderful things in providing great amp tone. One big problem with SS amps is their lack of ability to provide any good overdrive tone either by the amp being driven or with pedals. They usually end up sounding gritty or raspy. Another issue I’ve found with most SS amps are the weak input stages. The inputs will usually clip pretty fast when you place a boost pedal or overdrive pedal in front of them. So for the most part you can get good clean tones from SS amps but not overdrive. Where you can really hear these tonal weaknesses is when playing on stage at loud volume levels. However I’ve been pretty impressed with some of the new digital technology out there now. Fender’s new Tone Master amps sound incredible and I own both the Twin and Deluxe Tone Masters. They have strong input gain stages and can accept booster pedals, overdrive pedals etc with ease like their tube counterparts. For regular weekend players like myself I can also get by with my Boss Katana 100 watt amps and the older series Fender Mustang 3 100 watt amps. They perform very well by themselves with their built in effects. I’ve still kept a couple of tube amps, notably a 90’s Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and a Fender 68 Custom Deluxe because they sound great and both provide something different to each other. I’ve owned several other tube amps over the years. Sorry for the story book answer. Lol. But I just felt that I needed to reiterate on my previous statement and provide some clarity with my own experiences with SS amps.
@@guitareveryone Oh yeah man, I totally agree with you, I was just being sarcastic in that original comment lol. So the Tone Master line really does deliver what it promises? I am super interested in that lineup. Technologically speaking, when you think about how good high end modelers like Kemper are these days, it makes total sense that Fender would be able to make a spot on "patch" for their tube amps to replicate the sound of those amps all wrapped up in a classic Fender aesthetic package (not to mention weighing a whole lot less than their tube counterparts), so I'm glad someone at Fender had the idea to do that. I have heard nothing but good things about them. I'd really love to see Marshall do something similar for something like the old Bluesbreakers or Plexis, so maybe this trend/idea will catch on with other amp manufacturers as well. My next amp is most likely either going to be a Super Reverb or one of the Tone Master amps. I would really love to sit down with one of the Tone Masters, crank it up, and run it through its paces to see how I like it myself. I think that is what it would really take to convince me fully. Oh, and as someone who also frequently writes essays in the youtube comment section, no need to apologize at all. Lol.
Bob? Reminds me of the old legendary B.B. King story, when B.B.'s wife, in honor of Her husband's Birthday had a tattoo of a "B" tattooed on each fanny cheek, when She pulled down Her dress, turned around and bent all the way down to show Her Birthday Boy, B.B. replied " That's great Honey, but who's Bob?"...

This guys doing pretty well for a night watchman at norms guitar shop😁
More talent in his pinky than the entire top ten on the radio
Hard working guy. Will go down as one of the greatest of all time. Gets a lot of grief I do not understand.
16:30 Joe finally realizes this is all extreme.
A tip: you can watch movies on kaldrostream. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies these days.
A tip: watch movies at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Baker Cain yup, I have been using Flixzone} for since december myself :D
@Baker Cain yea, I've been watching on flixzone} for years myself =)
Only extreme to those who dont appreciate the history and significance of what he preserved. Or anyone who has collections.
Great video.
Just like hearing someone indulge their passion.
Also I want that Nocaster.
How much do kidneys go for on the black market these days??
Outstanding guitar player and humble guy. Each one of those 1959 Les Paul's is probably $200k or more.
This is what happens when a man decorates his houses exactly as HE wants, with no compromises or other’s preferences. 👍
Having trouble with your lady...? ;-)

Love this song.. going to Nashville in late September and want to know if tours of nerdville are available
Thank you, Joe. That was great. It was meaningful.
That Nocaster is one of the best sounding guitars I have ever heard in my life, wow.
I've been listening to him for over 20 years he is awesome awesome 😎😎😎😎😎
I get the impression Joe enjoys sharing his love for the gear and the story behind each piece even more than owning it.
Joe's place is so cool that you can just plug into a couch pillow and it sounds good.
It was exhilarating to watch Joe go through his place in Nashville, yet the great part was the song at the end.
Wonder if anybody ever told Joe that he could never make a good living playing guitar?
Well there was those two that wanted a new guitarist to replace Joe in the band Joe started with. The manager was smart enough to say good-bye to those two and stuck with Joe.
Best bluesman of all time. End of story.
Joe Bo, an absolute legend. Even if you don't like his playing, you have to admire his level of guitar geek. Keep on keeping on, Joe
Fantastic! Love these inside glimpses into what makes Joe tick. He makes you smarter just by listening to him. Thank you Joe!
Jay Jay And you felt compelled to respond? Yeah. Back under your bridge.
@Jay Jay go listen to ppcocaine
I recognized the multicolored chairs on his patio from hanging on the side of a building cleaning windows nearby, Ha!
Mr Joe Bonamassa, keeping music dreams alive...and keeping the power company in business!
Driving towards Daylight was amazing. Your voice is incredibly good, and it's a great piece of songwriting too. Excellent!

Lol.
I remember seeing the process of the Les Paul Lazarus restoration on your instagram. It looks great!
Bob? Reminds me of the old legendary B.B. King story, when B.B.'s wife, in honor of Her husband's Birthday had a tattoo of a "B" tattooed on each fanny cheek, when She pulled down Her dress, turned around and bent all the way down to show Her Birthday Boy, B.B. replied " That's great Honey, but who's Bob?"...
now that is funny !!
Love you Joe, sharing your guitars, homes, thank you
