- Left engine broke down when call V1. I have to take off because it has reached V1 speed which is what we called "must-take-off speed". I almost lose control as the airplane airborne, but i manage to control it. Finally make a safe landing at Shanghai Pudong international Airport (ZSPD)
I hate that in simulators even though its sunny out its still pitch black in the cockpit. They should really try to add realistic lighting to them to make them feel better.
That is probably one of the few limitations of simulators not yet countered. The collimated display brightness is not the same as daylight brightness and thus the cabin does generally remain quite subdued in terms of lighting. As DLP projectors become ever more sophisticated we will probably see exactly what you mention become a reality.
Wow, great job. I don't know much about flying airplanes, but I thought everything went pretty smoothly considering the engine failure and the wind and everything. Great job landing this bird!
And considering he is also a trainee doing this particular exercise for the first time
"Dead foot, dead engine" is how I know which engine has failed when I'm the flying pilot.
+Greg Ingram. Fred Flinstone would often say dead feet dead engine . . .
Still could not tell whether this was a sim or real aircraft. Whatever the case, good work! That 'don't sink' alarm is very distracting, I experience that with my King Air B-350 all the time upon landing!
I would suggest you to:First of all, apply enough rudder to stop the yaw (and keep a fixed rudder application) and maintain wings leveled. You should consider that not necessarily the control wheel will be centered when wings are level. AVOID BACK AND FORTH control inputs, mainly at the rudder! Once the wings are level, you should figure if the rudder application is correct, observing your control wheel: if CW's right side is low, more right rudder is needed. Slowly apply rudder in that direction, until CW is centered and wings level. From this point, if thrust and speed are constant, DO NOT move the rudder, even during turns. Use only CW inputs, as smoothly as you can.Besides that, you should adjust pitch attitude required to maintain speed and keep airplane in trim!Cheers.
This is what makes airline so safe they can still take off at gross on a single engine to pattern altitude return to the airport safely. There really isn't any piston engine that can do that at gross in the worst conditions. Some piston engine aircraft can maintain some altitude can't really climb most can't at gross on hot days or at higher altitude. This is because the airline jet engine can produce so much thrust they have much more thrust they can use then they need.
02:08 you failed it.. Let it go to side of runway. Just sitting there in panic..
Sorry not being annoying but if you lose your left engine the nose dose not swing to the right it swings to the left! Left engine right foot
Auto throttle on. Flight director on. This guy is just guiding to the v bars. It's more fun flying with all that stuff off.
Considering the radio was pretty quiet during this 'emergency,' I'm thinking this is a simulator. There should have been a lot of chatter overheard from ATC, clearing airspace, telling them to watch for this or that aircraft, alerting ground crews, etc. He calls it in but there should have been much more communication with the tower.
best reaction , doesn't matter simulator or real , never even hear a moment of panicking A+
The pilot knew it was going to happen so you won't panic anyway.
BULLSHIT.. HE LET THE AIRPLANE GET ALMOST OUT OF RUNWAY.. WTF???
@@feetgoaroundfullflapsC You can't really rotate quickly in the event of an engine failure after V1. Less power, so you gotta keep accelerating for a little longer to get to Vr. At least that's what the FCOM says...
That was a nice control man I'm assuming guy are a student pilot
too much right rudder trim caused you all the way make left yoke input with regard left engine out !!
usually you should make 5 deg bank to the live engine
what kind of options for a dual engine shut down as a result of birdstrike or something else immediately upon lift off? Find the hudson?
Also, I'm curious why the instructor kept changing the AP settings when you were flying manual?
Like the hand on the thrust levers till V1🤨
I was gonna say that red tape was coming up quick I was waiting for the stall. You can tell the guy flying in this sim is a rookie. He was pitching too high and can't keep wings level. I know it's harder flying on a single engine but that's why you have a rudder.
He never said they were LIVE in Shaghai... and technically, they took off from a simulation of that airport...
V1 speed, the maximum speed at which an aircraft pilot may abort a takeoff without causing a runway overrun
It does not matter 1 or 2 engines operative. Centerline.
Is that in the simulator?
Yes
Wada Don NO! It's in Iceland.
i believe this is a simulator?
Definitely a flight simulator, engine out training. I spent many times doing this
True, nothing special did this several times a day, big deal.
Frequently when viewers read "must see", they will not watch, as they do not enjoy being told what to watch.
Why turning toward the dead engine, just wondering?
Definitely fail in a sim check. Aeroplane was not maintained within the prescribed runway splay
Slow it down a little bit? Should surely have said reducing speed to 180 then confirm from the other pilot. Poor communications in that cock pit for sure. But a cool video.
As a passenger, I would´ve already died of a heart attack!
I found those banners explaining the situations very annoying to enjoy the video.
So in a flight simulator you know when an accident is happening? :P
Why would you continue the flight instead of circling and landing?
They not only needed clearance ( which i realize they got early on ) but they had to go a safe distance for a safe turn and landing.
you have to consider the weight too.
You lured me to waste my limited time here on earth. Shame on you.
I´m not embittered at all. I´m just pissed off. And by the way, Nothing wrong with my eventful life outside this virtual shithole where ignorant juveniles can comment anonymously about people they know nothing about...
Lol at the people thinking this is the real plane
Who's flying? Roger Murdoch?
Switched off immediately after take off, far to many pop ups, silly
Do you mean a bird stuck into the engIne?
this is a simulator. no shaking on takeoff.
...."Engine 1 will seize, so what will happen is the nose will want to swing to the right, so you're going to have to push the right rudder in"?
...confused. Surely if engine 1 fails, the aircraft will yaw LEFT?!. And if it does indeed yaw right (eg the left engine rather than fails completely, overspeeds), then the LAST thing you want to do is push right rudder!
this is so cool
very skillful turns into the dead engine at low speed and low altitude..this guy froze on the controls..failed..Stickshaker was saying..idiot, stop pulling elevator and use the other controls already turkey....
Just one thing. When you have an engine failure, you MUST NOT use the reverse thrust. None of them. Just the differential brakes and the automatic brakes.
this was not a must see. pilots don't usually get a heads up of what kind of emergency they will have. that's why it training. more respect if you had mentioned simulator engine fail on take off, not been told before hand you no. 1 engine is going to fail
Nice sim
first time on the flight simulator?
Loss of #1 engine will swing plane to the left not the right
TheIrongutz wrong. Left engine failure will produce a yaw to the right
cheekypillmonkey WRONG left dead Engine left yaw!
Hayrullah Ceylan Sorry, I probably meant right yaw to counteract the yawing forces produced my the live engine
what would pilot do if reaching the V1 speed but the engines don't supply enough speed to fly anymore? (I have no knowledge about flight).
+stanley Openacc: It's all calculated. At v1 an airplane should be able to rotate(also in an n-1 situation)
+stanley Openacc It depends on how close V1 is to Vmbe. The higher limit of V1 is Vmbe, which is the speed for maximum braking energy. The lower limit is Vmcg, the minimum speed at which the controls are effective enough to control the airplane with failure of the critical engine.
In other words, if you RTO at a speed above Vmbe without reversers, you don't have enough brake disk material to stop the airplane. Since there's a safety factor applied, you'd probably be able to stop the plane if both engines failed below Vr but above V1, but you will certainly have a fire. No big deal. The problem is that, most airplanes are so powerful now that Vr is very close to V1, so in most cases, you'll be flying if this happens. What you do is, full speedbrakes, full flaps and slam the airplane on whatever runway lenght is left (including stopway, RESA, clearway, clear ground, rivers, etc). Captain Sully did it.
they most like my will be forced to climb anyway, especially if at end of runway and quickly GoAround or shoot for another runway if available. if their is still runway room on a long runway he or she can perform an ultimate branding which is when you are forced to abort takeoff at V1
who els is here because of ether mayday videos or fsx videos
nice video..wd..
If I won the lottery I would buy a real 737 simulator the ones pilots use. Amazing fun!!
If I won the LOTTERY I will put money in Australia with over 4% interest and live on the interest.
+Robert Hope
You might win. your name is hope.
+James Adcock we also use sims like this to do standard training
How much you think it would cost?
whats with all the little sentences that pop up in the middle of the screen
placing the talk balloons better , try that next time ...
'Dont Sink" is never good at any point. Its an Automatic fail on a check ride.
Christ get the A/P engaged!!!
A/P's are there to reduce the work load & allow the crew to concentrate on the failure. Much safer & that's why automation was invented otherwise we'd still be flying the Wright Flyer!:-)
+endwood No matter what happens, always remember to fly the plane yourself.
I hate it when what may be a cool video turns out to be a SIMULATOR.
boering take off with engine failure must see full operation at shanhai castel
Like everything was wrong here...
Is this an actual view outside? Or is it just a computer screen. To me it looks like a computer screen.
Do you really think they'd practice an engine failure situation in a real airplane. Let's be logical here.
Ah. Good point. Sorry.
***** They do that to test the airplane not the pilots. And in this case it is a pilot training for an engine failure.
***** Ah, they idle the engine. Not a real engine failure situation.
+Bryan Chung I believe that's why they call it "simulating" an engine failure.... Let's be logical here.
Fasten your seatbelts and call the autopilot😅😅😅
What a load of rubbish. The training captain in the rhs says that engine number 1 will fail and the nose will yaw to the right. This is completely wrong because if the left engine (number 1) failed, a yaw to the left would be the result. I didn't bother watching the rest after that display of tosh.
nice one
I'm cool with a fake title if it means a real sim.
What is a real simulator??? That is an Oximoron...
real = expensive as hell
Jon Netbotic
--That is like saying Real Simulated Sex..har, har, har..
What du you mean with "what WE call?" You aint no pilot sir lol
THIS IS A FLIGHT SIMULATOR
He doesn't even know how to properly hold a yoke, stay on the centerline, and he was moving the yoke around whilst the plane was on autopilot😂lmao. Title so misleading....
失速了推杆太猛了,乘客要闹,其他不错.
DON'T THINK !!!!!1
The person flying is definitely not a pilot. So how could this be full operation?
Did you run over a cat? 11:10
landing procedure, or it cries thinking your gonna sink into oblivion sigh
IS THIS REAL OR ITS A SIMULATOR?
Sim.
you know this is a simulator right !
The banner are freaking annoying.
Title it properly... You're flying a sim!
shaky video ruined it for me
V
Dumb scenario with advance warning!
Interesting, whoever the banners really do annoy me on all vids.
Yes, it's nothing but a simulator.
1. Bad pilot 2. Why are you recording you are at work concentrating 3. Why am I watching this
1.Can you fly any better. 2. the camera is strapped to his head. 3. I don't think he is a real pilot
Sim
One engine out is not a mayday ! exception is fire ! You could say “pan pan “ instead of mayday, poor decision making.
A lot of armchair pilots here. I bet they would crash if they tried this.
most of those videos are fake: simulator.
but that one is maybe the worst,,,'
+woody wood "Simulator" does not mean "fake". As you may or may not know, airlines do use simulators for a large part of their pilot training. Surely you wouldn't think the pilots on your next airline trip had "fake" training because their training was done in simulator sessions?
Its misleading clickbait. Its not exactly hard to add "simulator" to the title ya know.......
上哪儿搞了个模拟仓的东西上来,装神弄鬼的【Must see】
WTF DONT TELL HIM EHAT IS GONNA HAPPEN ! Wtf is this airlineIn saudi airline U will be flying and they will give u a surprise maybe like engine failure or smoke in the cockpit or maybe bothThat's how u become a real pilot
He has to tell him so that he can train him. Later on, they'll spring a surprise or two on him.
Boring!!!!!
It is BS..its on a flight simulator..Now try that on the real airplane, chump...not empty either..they do climb at full gross weigh..if real pilot onboard..kiddo.
Stupid clickbait!
boring
Rubbish.
some of the worst flying iv erer seen. keep it on the runway centerline. dont be like a muslim pilot.
+tom dick what do you mean by a muslim pilot DICK? All these airlines you people fly with ; Emirates,Etihad,Qatar have a majority of muslim pilots......for years these airlines are getting the Skytrax awards
+Ahmed Imad Khan He's just an idiot, no need to even respond to him.
Ch0plol you understand...thank you 😀
this is a simulator. no shaking on takeoff.
