I knew I had to have this pedal when you demonstrated it during its first run. I was not disappointed. You can get some immense sounds out of it akin to a bass or even a bowed gong. I came for the reverb but I stayed for the noise.
Sounds great, love the experimentation and result of fuzzy springs
If you take the ball bearing out of the rotary switch, it will act more like a potentiometer and in certain positions you can overlap contacts to combine two adjacent capacitors. Plus it would help with the clicking noise though the pedal. This works better with a make before break style rotary switch though to eliminate open circuit popping.
Glad I was able to get one of these while they're available. It's been a lot of fun to use and I look forward to trying out the bonus PCB.
I was casually enjoying these sounds, then when you strum the guitar at 10:33 ... Oh my.. that is a luscious and filthy sound! Love it!

The “short-circuit slide” instrument is a perfect application for that!!! (I like the drum machine too, though! Haha!) I made a spring tank electrified drum once, and have been thinking about playing around with some more spring stuff. Just (almost)finished the last instrument project, I guess maybe I had better now… 😄

I made my own spring reverb with a spring from a toy microphone, a cheap acoustic guitar pickup, a cheap loudspeaker and a metal box that used to contain After Eight xD
It doesn't sound as good as this one though :P

Idk why you said they weren't super cool for drums, I was thinking that was the coolest thing you've gotten so far. You add a funky bass and clean guitar above that and you've got yourself like... idk trash funk or something. It's not like... crazy like the other stuff can get, but I liked it a lot.

the additoon of the electric guitar made me think of a very swaggy spaghetti western...
I wish I could buy this one!!! This would be beautiful with a few of my machines! Have a pluggable (which comes with a rubber plug) 10mm hole in the center of the clear tank cover, for externally exciting the spring, like when you shouted into the tank window. 😁
At 4:05 it sounds just like the Blaster Beam used by Jerry Goldsmith in Star Trek The Motion Picture.

The extra circuit board on the wet are the ldr a specific one or any type wil do?also this doesnt connect to the wet pedal does it?cause it only has an output no input😮

This seems pretty interesting and useful, but the cost makes me wonder if I really need it. I have a decent collection of reverb pedals, but the only real spring reverb I have, is in my Moog Grandmother. I would really prefer to have a plate reverb, that doesn't take up a room.
$250 for a handbuilt enclosed reverb unit is practically nothing. Not everything can be a plastic toy built by slaves in china.
Agreed on a pedal sized actual plate reverb! Maybe just getting a thin enough plate could do it?
