I'd say they still need a couple of additions or upgrades, but man, does the future look bright for Montreal. One such piece would be acquiring Sam Bennett. I want him to remain in Florida, but it does not look promising. If he goes, I hope Montreal would scoop him up.
The way they have competed for the last 5/6 games is what I want to see. Win or lose I want that compete level. They do that consistently over the rest of the year and I’d be pleased.

I have been a habs fan all my life ( over fifty years) and i was starting to get discouraged 2 weeks ago (but never lost faith) bc only one line was playing, but since the holydays something has clicked, the team plays together, all four lines work, all the players contribute it's beautiful to see. Whether we're in the playoffs or not the players are having fun and the future is bright

Been talking to my buddies all about hockey mainly because it’s not just Montreal that’s doing good. It’s Winnipeg, Edmonton, Ottawa and I guess Toronto even though they perform a lot like the panthers. (Losing to teams they shouldn’t be losing to)

I'll admit, they were frustrating in much of the early season. Last year, even when they lost, it was a battle resulting in many 1 point loses. This year, it felt like they had taken a step back. Of course, there were the injuries, and the recovery period to consider. But now that the team is mostly injury free, they are looking the beast they are poised to become. Feels good man.
Habs were no.26 in the league and right now they are playing with no pressure at all. No injuries so they play finally like a team. Panthers,Lightning and especially the Knights seamed to be thinking more about the new year festivities till they start the rush to the Stanley Cup in 2025. We will see how Dach ,Newhook, Armia and Suzuki will follow the competition 😊

Winning feels good and this team hasn't felt good in a long time. Once they start winning, they feel better, they begin to believe in themselves and it builds on itself and before you know it, you're on a winning streak! This team made 2 significant changes, bringing in Laine solidified the second line, and that gave the team two threatening lines. Bringing up Dobes has also helped, as now the team potentially has confidence in both goalies. It's still a very young blue line, but at least all the half-wits who wanted to fire St. Louis have been proved WRONG.
Heads are held up high to begin this new year! Perhaps "*in the mix!* IS NOT out of question. I hope in the last month and we still battling foe a playoff spot we are able to stick some of young guns right into the 🔥! Talking Demigod Hauge and company. Smelling jock sweat circa 1986! Go habs go!😅😂❤

This is great stuff indeed. Big wins for the team! That said, the Habs play the Blackhawks on Friday. Recent Habs history has shown that after a couple solid wins against competitive teams, the Habs tend to lay a stinker against bottom teams afterwards. I don't mean a tight 3-2 loss, I'm talking getting blown out 6-1. I hope they can stick to winning or at least give it an honest hard-working effort. Let's hope the Beard sticks around in the New Year, too.
