      Susan Brandt,
      Carrots and Beets suffer as well when their lives are terminated as they are ripped apart by the juicer action. In fact vegetables are capable of responding faster to human thoughts than cats, dogs and horses. There's also scientific evidence that plants respond to you when you are thinking about watering them when you get home from work. That's something that lady never mentioned. So, there's that too. Evidence also shows that Universal Spirit Life resides in plants and that they live in communities. On the Vegetable level of Life, of course.

      Kung fu Kenny 1. From an evolutionary standpoint it wouldn’t make any sense for a plant to be sentient since they can’t exactly move or anything and they don’t have a nervous system. 2. You actually need more crops to produce meat then eating them directly (since cows eat more than humans) so either way qith that logic you should become vegan ;)

      @mk.music23 3 года назад +3

      @@swordoff7 your phone can reply to you, doesn't mean it holds any importance especially not when you are comparing it to an animal that clearly suffers and can feel pain. I'm sure you would not like me to compare the level of sentience you have to that of a plant or a phone that will only respond to stimulus. it's the experience that seperates the two. Also, there's science for anything just because you say there's evidence it means nothing without context, so you may like to be distant from the idea that if you eat meat you abuse and kill the animals on your plate but that is for you to deal with. Not to come up with a ridiculous response that is not backed by science on the level that animals are.

      Did you mean "potent"? I'm almost vegan now and feel much healthier. I'm rather into eating cooked or warmed up food. This is healthier than raw despite all the vitamins. Otherwise your body has to spend more energy on digesting than it gets from the actual food.

    Awesome talk! I used to eat meat and other animal by-products. Initially it was difficult giving up these foods, but over time my taste palette changed and I do not crave these foods anymore. I wish more people would see that our relationship with these foods is emotional.. i.e. barbecues make us remember childhood outings, eating cake reminds us of a time of celebration.
    The best way to describe quitting animal-by products (from someone who has done it) is like breaking up with a significant other. You long for them until eventually one day you wake up and are satisfied without them, or even find someone else.
    I am young so I cannot comment on heart disease (or any other age related diseases), but I can say that I am not sick often and when I do get sick I am sick for a maximum of THREE days. Also keeping in shape with minimal exercise is easily achievable.

You are no better than anyone. Your speeches may seem more polished but likely lack substance hence being worthless. For example, if, UM you were dying of cancer and your doctor, the only one in the world said Um, Ah, you know...I HAVE THE CURE, would you give a rats a$$ about his speech? NO. You would pay attention to the message. Try it sometime.

    This is a truly wonderful talk. I am plant based and I could never go back. It has changed my life, and greatly improved my health and well-being. I find it strange that people just do not seem to care about their health at all. I go to a family party, and everyone is smoking, drinking beer, and eating bar-b-q. It is like Dr. Kong says, Psychic Numbing. They simply do not want to know, or have to work at it. It is just easier to keep doing what you are doing. It may be fun now, but I am 62 and have seen that it is not fun when you get older. You see your parents suffer and die, and now friends having strokes, dementia, diabetes, etc. I am also heartsick about what animals go thru on factory farms and truly believe it is wrong and inhumane.

The plant based "meat" come in small packages with a small number of individual counts whereas meat was the same price BUT with more quantity!... Eating healthy is just overall expensive. That is y a lot of low income have families have overweight children because the parents can't afford a diet based meal for 5 + children... plant based diet and Organic food is super expensive. What I do not understand for as much as I try is the 7 people who have clicked the "don't like" button. You might not agree with saving people's lives, as well as the animals and the environment (which I find surprising to say the least), but what you have exposed here is absolutely undeniable, no one can give any arguments against the situation because there isn't any but either selfishness or ignorance. And those people who have clicked the "don't like" are surely not ignorant after listening to you, so we can say they are extremely selfish and cold hearted. Hope one day they can see the future that awaits us if humanity doesn't take the step to a plant based diet. Congratulations for the extraordinary way you have resumed everything.

    Once you stop seeing a burger and start seeing a traumatised dead cow, something inside you clicks and you can’t go back. A lot of people won’t allow themselves to have that ah-ha moment, but if and when they do, you see food completely differently. It’s literally like a veil has been lifted from your eyes, it’s such a specific feeling. I used to love Five Guys burgers - now I love stroking cows when I walk past them in the fields and they trot over to see me and my dogs. Animals are friends, not food.

    Great presentation/talk. I have already shared it with all my friends. I love how non-judgmental it is all worded. And judging by the audience's reaction, it was very well received :-)

      "Meat is the new tobacco." Sure, very non-judgmentally worded. LOL.
      Why wouldn't it be well received by an audience of vegans???

      imo Not judgmental - factual slogan. Meat is likely to make people sick same as cigarettes. We don't know who was in the audience.

    The health benefits of eating plant-based food alone were enough for me to start being more aware of what I eat!!!! Sustainable planet Earth is another!!!! Plus I love animals, they are not ours, they are the planet's. 💜🐮🐂🐷🐖🐏🐄🐐🐹🐰💜
