What a fantastic show it was!!! It's a shame that there's no official recording of this great concert.... I've enjoyed every bit of it. Sound quality is quite good for a bootleg version ❤️
Went to this gig with my sister, heard about it on GLR and was just round the corner so picked up a pair of tickets. Mentioned it to my sister last time I saw her, she has no recollection of the evening at all....
George was 14 year old guitarist. He was good enough to play for John. Then, good enough to. be invited to join John 16? Paul 15 in their band . George was only 17 when they were playing in Germany., The Quarry Men? The still the youngest Beatle. I think it is possible Lennon -McCartney saw George as.just the tagalong guitar playing no matter how good "little brother". Brilliant guitar on" While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and beautiful "My Sweet Lord" and fun ""Old Brown Shoe" and "I've Got My Mind Set On You" miss him and our world needs George in 2022. Thank you
I went to the same school as Paul & George not at the same time I hasten to add but you're exactly right. That's the way It was at school, you'd talk & know the younger lads but there was a real hierarchy in operation & that's the way Paul would've been with George. It wasn't a conscious decision it's just the way it was in a school that was all boys. The teachers wore these black capes & corporal punishment was the norm we'd be hit really hard on the arse with a cane or a plimsoll or on the outstretched palm of the hand with a wooden ruler. Looking back now it was archaic & just plain wrong, it was violent there'd be loads of fights, mass brawls between the different classes "forms" they were called & the music department was absolutely rubbish I didn't learn a thing, it was totally useless. Sorry I'm rattling on here but you're bang on the money with your comment about George & Lennon & McCartney.
Agreed 100%. If I had to choose between anyone like J. Beck, Clapton or even Hendrix I would choose George's playing above anyone. He plays the SONG! His lead guitar playing for Beatles & Solo are thee most beautiful ever composed. Take away ANY of George's playing with The Beatles and their popularity would suffer greatly. He is/ was the icing on the cake. Please pass the word to listen to George's guitar playing. Suggestion: Pick an album... whether it be 'All things must pass' or 'ANY solo album (Like Living In The Material World, Dark Horse or 'Gone Troppo" try to separate the GUITAR parts. (Sometimes there are 2 or 3 guitars. It's pretty much all George playing on his solo albums. (A few guests like Eric Clapton are featured here and there) George should definitely be listed as thee greatest guitar player of all time!
this is truly amazing, George didnt play very many live concerts and here he is at 49 years young. What great gifts he brought to the world and inspired millions with his music his creativity and spirituality and insights. A brilliant man, he passed too young on my birthday too. Blessing to you George I know you have found Your Lord and Peace.
George Harrison, a great talent, fine songwriter, great vocalist, and most of all , a great guy , sadly missed!! A real legend , his music will live on❤

Will Lee (bass player in this concert) has a great remembrance of playing this show on RUclips ( ruclips.net/video/PATpcsZE3yE/видео.html ). I went to high school with Will in Coral Gables FL in 1968 and can attest that Will was a big Beatles fan even then. You can't see him very well in the video, but I know it must have been one of the highlights of his career. Will also played bass in Letterman's band for essentially every Letterman late night show. Imagine getting asked by GH to play in what turned out to be GH's last concert in London.
John and Paul were beyond lucky to find George! Thank God Paul rode the same bus as George. I was around 10 years old when my mom and my aunt bought George his first three part album brought it home put it on the big Console stereo lol. We listened to it over and over again and Mt Sweet Lord was my favorite song. We danced around the house all singing along and just loving it. I am now 63 and ever since then I still dance around When I hear this song it’s just the best! Lucky Dhanni, he n his dad so proud of each other.❤
"George Harrison's last and only UK concert. It was organised as a benefit concert for the National Law Party from the Mararishi Mahesh Yogi, three days prior to the 1992 British General Election. George's backing band consisted of variours members of Eric Clapton's tour band plus Mike Champbell from Tom Petty's Heartbreakers on lead guitar"
I,m satisfied I chose the right kind of music to provide a backdrop to my life, you can,t beat Harrison,Clapton,Gilmour,Petty,Dylan ,Young etc for superlative music .So might call this kind of music ' the Golden age of pop' I say grow up sunshine!
I was there! Best big I've been to by a wide margin. As a 20 year old Beatle fan I was amazed I got tickets. Was in Promenade section and as soon as 'I want to tell you' started I ran to the front. Just to hear that opening riff was transcendental. Won't forget it...
Gosh, great to see this gig! But you can see & feel why he was the 'third' Beatle, he didn't have enough songs up to 1970 & in this gig he didn't even play ( also on lead guitar) some of his finest tunes from 1970 onwards!
My favorite George Harrison song is "Blow Away." When I was in high school, I would come running home, one mile away, just to hear it play on the radio. The d. j. would always play it at the same exact time, late in the afternoon, as soon as I would arrive home, coincidentally. 🎶💎🎶
Jose, I get that ! I was 10 years old when the Beatles first album was released in the U.S. and my favorite song was Don’t Bother Me by George. Then when Rubber Soul was released, Think for Yourself was my favorite. Both lyrically dark but chromatically great songs. Another one I would suggest from a “ feel good” musical composition is Cracker box Palace. Just a sweet attitude about it. I’m sure Jeff Lynne was in the picture by then. Enjoy !
I'm always hesitant to call a work of art "important" or "essential." Art is such a personal experience. But, no musical artist of his significance did fewer full live concerts than George. There exist only two filmed records of what he was like as a live solo headliner - "The Concert for Bangladesh" and this. No camera rehearsal, no multiple on-stage angles, but this captures what he was like 22 years into his solo career. I'd say that's pretty important. What a gift! Those of us who value George as an artist and a man are so grateful for your work.
I think the experience of Beatlemania just wrecked havoc on George's nervous system and he became very reluctant to perform live over the years and when he did it was always with a pretty big band. Still pretty cool to see him up there and singing away and playing some nice guitar. RIP George.
Lifelong Beatles and George fan, and have never seen this video in any form. Excellent, and amazed at how good George's voice was. I get chills watching this video. Sorry it was never released in any form. I luckily got to see him later that year (1992) in NY at the Bob Dylan tribute at Madison Square Garden. I rushed up close to stage and will never forget when George was introduced and played in his beautiful purple suit. A class act all the way!
Wow I stumbled across this. We miss you George. Personally I don’t have a favorite, they are all great in their own way. The saddest thing is to imagine the day when all 4 are gone. That will be a terrible day.
OMG! this is great that was a fantastic day I will never forget it, it was on my birthday too and yes I was right at the front leaning on the stage I was about six feet away from George to his right. I was singing along to all his song's and I think he must of seen me as in the middle of a song 'Isn't A Pity' he leaned forward and said 'Hello' I was stunned, he was having such fun as you can see and it was just wonderful just seeing him so happy performing in front of a audience. It is tragic to think that nine years later he would be gone, my beloved George that day will always be with me.♥

I saw George Harrison in 1974 at the Forum in Inglewood, California, on his US tour. He played Dark Horse and that is one of my favorite songs. Billy Preston was there too.
What a beautiful Soul… while my guitar gently weeps…. Here comes the sun… as he was in the shadows for so long.. super grateful he shared himself w us after the Beatles ❤️🤍💚💙😮☮️
I still love you George, the greatest song writer & forever The Travelling Wilbury!! and for me the heart & most important collaborater & soul of the Beatles. A true creative genius.😇🎸🎼⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's too sad, if you consider that 10 years later, in the same place happened the "Concert for George " ,a great tribute for him one year after he'd gone! Rock in heaven dear George!!!🙏🎸🎙🎶💞💞💞
George and John were my favorite Beatles that brought joy 😂 to us in our 🤮 sick world! They are treasures that are missed and always treasured! Thanks R.I.P
I agree. George is on it here, full of energy and vocal strength. Love his solo on 'Something'. Maybe it was professionally recorded on a soundboard, just not visually....
Unfortunately it has not professionaly recorded. I wonder why not. This is a gem! Also songs like " I want you", ' Piggies' ' My Old Brown Shoe' which on Bratles album didn't shine so much and were not so much aporeciated , here are simply INCREDIBLE!!! With all the good musicians on the stage, the good quality of all the instruments and his voice at his best these old songs sound wounderfully good. Not to speak about My Sweet Lord, Cheer Down, and the many other ones he wrote as Solo artist!! Great George!!!!! And most of them are missing on this performance
@@sophiafake-virus2456 Oh come on it wasn't all that bad most of the way through! I agree there are a few moments here and there which are less than great and the odd drumming bit which doesn't seem quite 'on' (imo) but generally the atmosphere comes across really well for a bootleg I have to say.
Ringooo as well- can't believe that despite being a wide eyed teenager living in the 'smoke' for the first time, I somehow missed this gig- feel quite sick, despite having seen Paul and Ringo since.
I've heard him talk about how he shelved his guitars for the sitar and hardly played them for a long time. His time spent w Ravi on Sitar and studying Indian music really came back to help him play slide. His style is besides Elmore James probably the most copied style. No one plays slide like him. IMHO he was the best ever.
With George being such a consummate musician, it's no surprise he picked a few such others to play with him at Albert Hall. I'm thinking those from 'across the pond' - i.e., Mike Campbell and Will Lee. Great musicians for sure!
This is now history in time it will be important historically.I’m so glad to have found this I have tried so many times to find George concert . It’s so important ❤

Просто гений!!!.....у меня нет слов, хотя я и мужчина, но хочется плакать от такого проявления таланта! .,. И очень родного, родного в моей жизни....
19:25 noticed George turning his back to the public while playing that solo intro. He seemed to be a pretty shy person
Great rapport between George and Gary on the extended solo of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".
I love "Cheer Down" great lyrics with Petty and great slide. Love Jeff Lynne's production on it.
What can I say George, Ringo and Gary Moore? It worth to see it.
I saw George Harrison in 1974 at the Forum in Inglewood, California, on his US tour. He played Dark Horse and that is one of my favorite songs. Billy Preston was there too.
I saw Arctic Monkeys at the forum oct 1 2023
WHIT ALL MY LOVE FOR GEORGE HARRISON UNTIL THE SKY, THE MAN WHIT DE MOST BIGGEST HEART.
Cool to see Mike Campbell playing with George.
I was lucky enough to be at that gig - great show and George got a fabulous reception
What a beautiful Soul… while my guitar gently weeps…. Here comes the sun… as he was in the shadows for so long.. super grateful he shared himself w us after the Beatles ❤️🤍💚💙😮☮️
George was such a great human being
True
One of the best
How do you know?
Aside from the fact that he loved women, all kinds of women. Probably his greatest weakness.
@@swirlingfudge : "When you know, you know". I was there & knew Him and He was the bestest!. Hare Krishna
This is fucking awesome. Thank you for editing and uploading it. There is so little footage of George playing live. This is priceless.
Even though on Georgia's song Old Brown Shoe he doesn't play The Lead guitar here live.
Wish there were better footage of this 😢
I still love you George, the greatest song writer & forever The Travelling Wilbury!! and for me the heart & most important collaborater & soul of the Beatles. A true creative genius.😇🎸🎼⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's too sad, if you consider that 10 years later, in the same place happened the "Concert for George " ,a great tribute for him one year after he'd gone! Rock in heaven dear George!!!🙏🎸🎙🎶💞💞💞
What a great analogy, but, so sad.
Yeah, that's another great tribute concert for a great musician like George ❤️
My thought as well
George Harrison was a wonderful guitar player and singer
George and John were my favorite Beatles that brought joy 😂 to us in our 🤮 sick world! They are treasures that are missed and always treasured! Thanks R.I.P
He seems so impassioned, confident and relaxed. This is more committed and emotional than Live in Japan. Wish it had been professionally recorded.
I agree. George is on it here, full of energy and vocal strength. Love his solo on 'Something'. Maybe it was professionally recorded on a soundboard, just not visually....
Unfortunately it has not professionaly recorded. I wonder why not. This is a gem! Also songs like " I want you", ' Piggies' ' My Old Brown Shoe' which on Bratles album didn't shine
so much and were not so much aporeciated , here are simply INCREDIBLE!!!
But he's singing flat nearly the whole way through. I was at this concert, in a box, and I can tell you I couldn't get excited by the performances.
Jesus. That While My Guitar Gently Weeps was absolutely SCREAMING. So good. Just looked like everyone was having a blast.
Amazing. Never seen this before! Beautiful! George puts his soul into it.
Totally agree. .
I wonder if on this night he regretted not performing more - he looks like he’s having a good time!
Probably not !
No, he didn't like touring & found performing stressful & his voice was a bit fragile at best but a one off was ok & rare. Shame.
" Then there were two" Wonderful, historic concert. Thank you
Love George😍😍😍😍
Extraordinario rescate. De gran valor histórico musical. Gracias.
I had no idea this video existed. This made my day. Watched "Beatles '64" last night...just wild how it all comes around full circle. Miss you George.
George Harrison, the first and last in his home country after the Beatles disbanded Live stage.
Ya know the unprofessional recording is more like being there- seems more real and authentic. Like the best concerts I’ve been to. I’m in love
Ray Cooper was always so flamboyant while adding his great percussion to the performance. What a great band he put together for this show…
Bless ya George. What a body of work you left down here.
George number one
With George being such a consummate musician, it's no surprise he picked a few such others to play with him at Albert Hall. I'm thinking those from 'across the pond' - i.e., Mike Campbell and Will Lee. Great musicians for sure!
LOVE AND MISS GEORGE HARRISON SO MUCH THANKS FOR THE GREAT POST
This is now history in time it will be important historically.I’m so glad to have found this I have tried so many times to find George concert . It’s so important ❤
