@@davidmaltais2912 all that matters is who the leader is for each of the 4 “safe houses”. Each person has different rewards based on which safe house they are in. Thanks for the video. I haven't played much betrayal since the rework. The old betrayal was fun setting up your board for useful results like white sockets, 30% quality, aisling veiled slam, etc. Under the new system, it feels hard nerfed. People were basically just rushing Katarina and the veiled orb drop rates were terrible so it didn't seem worth it. I'll watch and maybe give it another shot.
Yeah, the new betrayal is a lot simpler, and it's honestly not in the best state compared to a lot of other mechanics in terms of complexity, but it is still very rewarding.
I don't think I heard you mention recombinators. It might be worth unveiling rares for powerful mods and just filling up a quad stash with a set price like 20c.

I always run betrayal in the first week or so, simply to stack up on scarabs for the rest of it -and getting the veiled orbs is a nice bonus. The divine/h return is not too shabby when simply doing white and yellow maps to complete the atlas map, you unlock crafts and veiled mods, and the XP is perhaps the best per/h in the game for any content. It's just overall a very good start mechanic.
Do you mind speaking more about the XP, as I've heard its great xp from a lot of people, but cant find info about exactly why. As I understand it, safehouses act like mini breachstones with all the mobs, but I've also heard interrogating the masters is also some nice flat xp?
@@MyMetalMedia Yes. I don't have the stats, but interrogating 3x3 masters during a map will roughly give you as much as the entire rest of the map alone. It's a "trust me bro" situation, but most people that runs betrayal agree.

I've seen video compilation of Alk finding a few of those when he was farming for his dual strike of ambidexterity character. Perhaps it's worth looking into it?
Another great guide, but if you're like me and dont want to do all the effort of betrayal with most of the rewards you just take the points for increased chance, 10 progress per map, and focus on executing and blasting without worrying much about who is where. Still pretty good rewards for way less effort/knowledge
I decided to give this a go and it seems this mechanic is only worth it if you want to collect all the crafting options as it takes alot of time to get to Catarina and when you do the only thing you get from her is the flask wich sells for around 15c. They should buff this shit, 20 Catarinas in a row and no veiled drops, it is certainly not a 30% chance like the wiki says
I usually just go with w/e the option on the right is. I know its sometimes bad and can lead to slower progress. Its just a "no thinking" activity for me sometimes. Besides on lower levels the exp you get from them is actually insane. Also now on 3.25 you also get a node that gives you intelligence per completed map so its even faster
Hey Path, when a safehouse becomes accessible while i’m in a map, often I talk to Jun there to try to launch the safehouse but it says “Cannot launch safehouse as there is not enough space at the current location”. If I finish up my map first (and more Jun encounters happen), the safehouse goes below 100% completion. If I had left earlier to run the safehouse from my hideout, it will kill my existing map. What do you normally do for this situation? And also, thanks for the excellent video on Betrayal!!
You can only launch safehouses from your hideout. This is okay, because you have three encounters of safety time between triggering a safehouse and it resetting back to 90%, so you'll never have a safehouse reset in the map in which you procced it. You just want to be sure to run the safehouse as soon as you finish the map. Putting Jun near your map device can help with making sure you don't miss it! Thank you for the nice comment, gl!
