apples chip was finally defeated in a speed test, by the one and only exynos s9+. they officially lost their only edge, which was their cpu speed. android has surpassed apple in every way now, from speed to camera to design and aesthetics, while generally being more affordable as well. OS is debatable, but that's about it.

I'm glad you started with the disclaimer prior to review, because all the things you mentioned were all basically opinions. Some people will like the cam on the v30 others the note 8. I enjoyed the video, as always! But just a small correction. It's not the DAC that allows you to better use headphones that are difficult to drive, it's the amp.
One thing that is not shown often is that with the LGV30 by pressing the volume button in a certain way you get it into a NOTEPAD mode, if you happens to want to use this feature as most people would with the NOTE 8 pen - for taking notes on the go, just carry a pen with a tip for cellphones!

Yeah but its retarded that if you write or draw something it cannot be deleted. It needs to be erased which is stupid annoying, or forced to save it to then later delete something that I wanted to discard on the first place.

This phone was released in 2017 but it is still giving strong competition to new competitors in 2019. Recently purchased V30 after doing a lot of searching and researching, could not find a better phone.

It may cost you anywhere around 300-350$. But you will have to calculate custom duty also if you decide to import. And it's not refurb. You can get it at discounted prices during online sales.
I literally bought an LGV30 for myself a week ago, using it with Pixel Experience Theme and gcam installed, absolutely loving it so far, one of the best phones even in 2019 in my opinion as I cant stand notches

I know, but the V30 won't come to any of the major Scandinavian carriers. Telia-Sonera, YouSee, Telenor etc. have all said they won't get it. Just as they did not take in the V20, V10 og the G6 or G5. Most carriers stopped selling the LG topmodels because they don't sell. The phones that do okay or well are iPhone, Samsung and Huawei - especially Huawei did really well in 2016.

I have to say that with a case on it, I really like the fingerprint sensor positioning on the Note 8. Without a case it's terrible.
These are the obvious reasons that v30 is good at. The best reason is the sound, I'd like a dac in galaxies (tho I prefer a jack). Both the best you can get, you can't go wrong either way. But Sammy got that mind share, their only competition is apple
Buying expensive "smart" phones is stupid for the main reason which is that you will always have to take special care of them wherever you happen to be.Also it will be a way bigger loss in case it gets stolen or broken...yet this doesn't necessarily mean that you will have to settle for something way under the spec.For example i recently purchased an LG G3 for just 50$ there are great deals out there you just have to know where to look...

Is the LG V30 a phone with a removable battery & can you use a USB to charge?
Will it have the bootloop feature, like its siblings, the V10 and V20?
I'm heavily leaning towards the LG V30, but I am worried. Although the camera specs are amazing, all the samples i have seen so far are very disappointing. Dull images, still noisy in low light, and terrible video stabilization (isnt it supposed to have ois??). I know all the samples so far are pre-release and not final software, but it really does concern me how bad the quality is this close to release. I really hope it's improved by the time it's released as this is the phone that checks all the boxes for me.
Since when has beta software been deemed as release software? Certainly you don't judge the latest Android release off of the developer previews.
I got the v20 for the rave camera reviews but have yet to produce many images I'm crazy about, though you could perhaps chalk that up to my lack of understanding of the camera. Wide angle is nice, however.
You can try Manual mode bec. This mode is perfect for low light. I always got fantastic photo from my lg g6 with using manual mode.

I miss the argument of the point zoom, which is zooming into a specific point smoothly, and apparently even if you move the camera... That's a neat feature too.

Funny thing is: The average phone user don't care about all those things you mentioned. Most of those features are things RUclipsrs care about not the average user. The average user looks at his budget and buys the phone that looks pleasing to their eyes at that budget. They just need a decent camera not a killer camera. They don't need a Hi-Fi DAC. Hell they are OK with sound coming from stock headphones. It's only we nerds that care about those features... And we make up less that 5%. of phone buyers.

Rex Luminus of course we can use it with 2 hands, but the reason I care that much is that I have been using my 4,3 inch Z1 compact one handed for almost 3 years now and I feel it would be hard to get used to such a big device :)
When Samsung told me I couldn't have more memory or when my battery went bad I couldn't buy another battery without their help of removing it. Which they ended up having huge battery issues. The irony lol. I switched to the LG V10. Affordable price and great performance. Now two years later owning an LG V10 I will be getting the V30. I cant wait for the launch of this phone! Best priced flagship phone by far.
