thanks for the video. i just ordered my very first personal machine for my new house and i got a knodos screen and dose funnel to go with my grinder and machine. its a cheap under 200 dollar casabrews machine so i was pretty sure id need the screen to slow down the shot and help keep the shot uniform and above a 10 second pull like those 20bar machines like to do. im hoping i can get it dialed in for a decent shot. well see soon when it arrives and i get it set up!

I like using the puck screen since it keeps the group head clean.

Great comparison. Thank you. My coffee extract is runny with minimum crema. I tried many things with the same machine and not helping. Does switching to dark roast help?

Dark roast beans provide less crema, light and medium has more crema, to have much crema you'll need fresh grind beans.

Thank you for the video. I just need to clarify: 1st shot w/o pack screen was 56.5 ml in 24 sec. Second shot with pack screen was 55 ml in... (i didnt see for how many seconds?) Was it the shorter time for the same yield with the pack screen?. Does the pack screen increase the yield with the same constant time. Thanks

Barista Max is Sunbeam brand. Dial more finer. But from what you explained, i believe the issue is the freshness of beans itself. Buy another small pack of freshly Roasted beans from a local roaster, which is Roasted not more than a week old. Use that and see the difference
