  • Brainchip stock is full of promise, but lacks execution. The company has achieved roughly $10 million in total revenue over the past decade. That's how much revenue we expect a company to make in a single year before we'd even begin to take a look at it. On top of that, Brainchip exhibits all the red flags we look out for, including press release overload and extensive "customers" that don't account for any meaningful revenue. So, why did we make this video? We're not shorting Brainchip stock. Our premium subscribers tend to like the occasional video where we call out companies with a lack of execution. Plus, Brainchip and other AI stocks are quite popular, and we enjoy watching the cheerleaders come around to our comments section. Have at it!

    Thank you for this educational video.
    Some months ago, you published a somewhat similar piece on NNOX.
    It was a news recently about the investment of NVDA in NNOX. Did you have a chance to nanalyze this information?
    All the best.

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  3 месяца назад +2

      You're very welcome. The recent "NVIDIA news" isn't what people think and Bloomberg did a piece on this. "Nvidia did not consciously choose to buy Nano-X stock." That article by Bloomberg explains things quite well. When NNOX can start growing revenues then maybe we'll take another look at it.

      You have to wonder what the motivation is for these people to obsessively cram a stock down everyone's throats. Why could it be that some people do that so predictably? It is a massive red flag from where we sit and hints at something more than just a naive retail investor with not the slightest bit of investing acumen.

    Good point about these forever next year breakthrough companies. If one wants to see what the SNN (spiking neural nets) impact is, it's enough to check the Intel Loihi chip sales. In the meantime Nvidia and AMD are selling billions of their old-school boring GPUs.

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  3 месяца назад +1

      Thank you for that added info on the Loihi chip. The ground truth is always revenues followed closely by positive gross margins. It shows that whatever was built can be sold at a price that has the potential to generate profits in the future.

      @@Nanalyze I like the idea, even worked on software for it briefly. But the progress made in classical DNN algorithms and chips in the meantime, makes SNNs at best a niche application, and mostly unsuitable for edge computing workloads, and much more relevant for some IoT applications, where margins are tiny. Don't see it driving any booming sector anytime soon.

      It's very important that we clarify something here. Not once was that language used. We simply recited facts based on publicly available information from the company itself. Their management team has not been able to live up to their promises so far. That's apparent to everyone. We did not use the "f word" once, nor did we imply that this is the cause of this company's failure to deliver.

      Thank you! We've pointed out countless stories over the years that leave investors holding the bag. It's amazing how many there are in the States and the SEC does little to protect investors. You'll find them in every country though, and the ASX has some real bad apples. As I always say, whether or not it's an incompetent management team or an outright scam, in the end it doesn't really matter - investors will be holding the bag. As for the ticker you raised, another rule we abide by is to never ever dabble in small stocks. They're that small for a reason. Joe P.

    Thank you. A nice hit of realism. It gets me way more stoned than off the hopium. I am so grateful to have found your channel. One of your introductions mention that you’re not here to manage Reible‘s money or make callouts that will give you clout with the long-term but rather to help people become better investors and I definitely set that in your work.. I’ve been speculating on a company that eerily resembles many behaviors you mentioned about brainchip.
    I think what I need and search for more than anything else is general guidelines that can be applied across the board. I think one of the biggest takeaways that the video will give me is the idea of looking at consistency of revenue and cheerleader. Vanity metrics that nothing about actual delivery on promise.

    I see A LOT of promises and vaporware sales going on in the wrappings of AI and brain: digital interface. TBH I don’t even trust we have anything near the capabilities to do either yet. Fast computers…. Yes, smarter programming Yes, some rudimentary controls ( moving a mouse ) by neurological signals Yes. The rest is Syfi fantasy currently. I’d be very timid and extremely cautious investing in either of these thesis right now. I am aware that the search for AI is funding a huge surge in the market right now and I’d also expect in a year or two when there are no major breakthroughs that the fad will fade and markets will reset accordingly. I guess what I’m saying is while everyone seems to be looking for the next nivida I am questioning when the bottom drops out for the current nivida and others. I am speculating that the former will happen before any big new breakthroughs come about. It took 20 years to come up with a blue led after red and green were on the market, sometimes the ideas are around for decades before a product is marketed.

You guys are bagging Brainchip when global VP’s from Global Foundries, Infineon, ARM, Microchip have partnered with us and said how disruptive and amazing the company is, and Intels former global sales boss just joined the company, along with HP’s former global AI boss, many former ARM global VP’s, 4 actually.
