Make sure to check out our vlog about shopping at the wet market for all these fruits here: ruclips.net/video/8g_aMd5SRIU/видео.html Let us know all the fruits we missed in the comments! WE NEED TO TRY MORE!!
You can make a WARM Calamansi Juice thats sooo goood with your cough and cold ... squiz the calamansi maybe 5pcs? then add some sugar just to add some sweetness and to neutralize atleast the bitter-like sour taste of calamansi
You are still missing a lot of tropical fruits that only grows in the island. Bookmark this next time... santol, siniguelas, lomboy, makopa, star apple, durian, guyabano, rambutan, jackfruit, sampaloc and many more. I expect a second round soon.
I agree you missed a few good ones, santol sineguelas, macopa, Star apple, durian, and rambutan. You also want another shot at the atis (the green fruit with white stuff and a lot of seeds). Also lansones you wanna try the smaller ones with smaller seeds.
The sweetest mango in the world is grown in Guimaras, Philippines. The "Super Galila" is a "carabao" mango and has the highest sweetness index in the world. People in Guimaras take care of their mangoes like how Japanese people take care of their "Kobe" beef cows.
I laughed so much with them eating the Indian mango. Any food that you dip with that much salt will definitely taste too salty. Just a bit of salt will be enough. lol
Just look at their faces getting rounder everyday. 😊 It makes me proud thinking it's because they are in the Philippines and enjoying the fruits and food here.
You guys have to try marang and guyabano. They are also available in the markets in Metro Manila. As for the banana, try the latundan variety. That is a smaller banana but sweeter. You know it's ripe if you can peel it right away. If you can't peel it right away, then it's not yet ripe. So don't eat it yet. Btw, the banana that you ate is the lacatan variety.
The Indian mango is a variety of mango. Not all mangoes are created equal. They ripen and sweeten. The best Mangoes come from the island of Guimaras. But there are so many varieties of mangoes but when eaten ripe, they are so sweet.Pomelos are the same- several varieties and when eaten at the right time, they are very sweet.I particularly love the white and the pink variety. When buying and sorting lanzones, I like to pick a bunch with ants. These are always the sweetest. The fruits you bought are a fraction of the fruits available in the Philippines. Fruits are very seasonal for sure. Thanks for the reaction and enjoy your stay in the Philippines!
when you dip a fruit in a very small amount of salt , it enhances the flavor.. it brings out the sweetness of the fruit.. i even dip an apple in a salt.. hehe usually guavas , green mangoes, and citrus fruits are usually the ones eaten with salt
We eat "atis" 1 by 1 while holding the skin, just like "lansones" we eat it 1 by 1 because it has seed in each peice. You should have tried chico and santol.
As a Filipino that also dislike eating the Indian Mango, I relate to this so so much. Trying out fruits that you are not familiar with can be daunting at times (like my experience with Figs lmao). Also, Ponkan is just your average orange but better imo. Another great frackin' video, I really enjoyed these types of videos (more of these pls hehehe).
That indian mango is best if you pick the yellowish meat but not ripe which is old enough to eat because it not that sour like you ate, and the best dip is well made shrimp paste or soy sauce with a little bit coconut vinegar with chili and a bit sugar, you'll gonna love it for sure 🤤
A few fruits you've probably missed Balimbing (Star Fruit), Kamias, Santol, Sampaloc (Tamarind), Sineguelas (Spanish Plum), Duhat (Java Plum), Longan, Chesa, Chico, Caimito, Macopa, Guyabano and Rambutan. A lot of them are probably not in season or it's not available in Metro Manila. 👍 Congrats you guys just hit 100K subs! 💯✨🎉🎉🎉
I want part 2 of this! You are both so funny and unique 😂 go over the comments for the rest of the Filipino fruits! And oh btw, congratulations you’ll be receiving silver button soon! I’m so excited for that Vlog pretty soon 🎉
My most fave fruit with high level Vit C content is Guyabano (Soursop) next is Atis (Custard Apple) More Filipino fruits for you to try: Tisa or Chesa, Caimito (star apple), Balimbing (Starfruit), Duhat, Passion fruit, Cashew fruit, Durian, Santol (cotton fruit), Marang, Rambutan, Chico, Tamarind, Melon,
Some varieties of pomelos are sour and Davao is famous for their sweetest pomelos. Some lanzones varieties are sour too and Camiguin have the sweetest ones. Same goes with mangoes 🥭, some are sour and Guimaras Island have the sweetest variety. In general fruits vary from sourness to sweetness. Be safe Trifate, God bless always 🙏 🙌🤗 and enjoy my country, the Philippines 🇵🇭 ❤️ 💖 😊💟
I do this on pomelo by dipping it in salt. 👍🏻 I suggest not to dip it too deep or you’ll get more salt. I think it’s better to just sprinkle it enough.
kaimito (star apple), makopa (wax apple), guyabano (soursop), duhat (java plum), balimbing (star fruit/carambola), santol (cotton fruit), aratilis, kamias (bilimbi) are some others you can try. One trivia, key lime actually originated in Southeast asia and ended up being introduced in hotter parts of the USA
Try wild fruits nexttime but its hard to find sometimes. You must go and explore the forests to find them :D u try Rattan. Macopa. Cashew. Bagumbong. Duhat. Chico. Sineguelas. Manzanitas. Tyesa. Etc.
Santol, chico, macopa, mabolo, duhat, arateris, star apple and kamias. these fruits are local to my lolo' province that i miss eating and is hard to find at the local market.
Don't freak out if you go number 2 and it's red, that's just the dragon fruit haha but those are supposed to be sweet! We have them all around our property and they're so good :)
Try the native guava. It's more sweeter and smell good, the ripe one. Atis feels like eating sand. Try Atis (Custard Apple) & Guyabano (soursop) at the same time and compare it.
Try also guyabano, healthy fruits. Durian Santol Pinya from bicol Suniguelas Duhat. There are so many different variant of fruits in the whole entire PH Others: nipa hut fruits, kamyas...etc.
Atis or sugar apple. You have to eat it one fiber at a time. You cnt bite into it like an apple. Lanzones, those puds that taste bitter most likely have seeds in them. You have to pick them. The pomelo you got is a dry one.
My favorite: lanzones, rambutan, strawberry, dragon fruit ❤ and mangosteen Just found out that my buds like berry-like flavorsssss😊 Mango is not my S tier since our house is surrounded by mango😅 same as atis, chico, plhuyabano(pomelo)
Guavas can get more ripe which is red inside and that yellow mango looks like it needs more time to get sweeter, also adding salt depends on the first bite if you should add more
Some prefer to dip their green mango on soy sauce with sugar or shrimp paste (bagoong). I, on the other hand, like my mango with salt, vinegar and chilis.
There's 3 phases to eat indian mango tho. 1st Unripe where you dip it to salt or bagoong 2nd manibalang where its between ripe and unripe where the flesh is yellowish and sweet 3rd is ripe where its flesh is soft (not recommended)
Dragon fruits have several varieties. One variety has white meat yo it and the other one was the one you ate (with pinkish-reddish meat) but has a sweeter taste than the first one. Atis and dragon fruits are cut in half and the meat of the fruits are scooped using a spoon. Pomelo can be eaten as is, with salt, or with vinegar if sour. Davao pomelos are the best. Calamansi, pomelo, dalandan orange are citdu fruits which can be squeezed and mixed with water and sugar or honey.
Not done watching the video yet but I’m not seeing the guyabano that you bought with the rest of the fruits. What happened to it? I was so so excited to see you try it, so I’m disappointed that it’s not on the table. Pls make sure to try it because it’s one of the best fruits in the world!
There's a lot you guys missed. Kaimito, lomboy(duhat), sarguelas, chesa, unas(sugarcane), lady fingers, mansanita(berries), kasoy(where cashew nuts come from), sampaloc(tamarin), star apple, rambutan, guyabano, jackfruit, etc... My favorites are kaimito and mansanitas.
Hello, thank you for your vlog. Unfortunatelly you missed the best fruit from the Phils - Guyabano. Try to buy it, when it will be available, but beware, that there is only a very short time, when you can eat it. After becoming ripe it's very fast overripe !
Try making calamansi /dalandan juice out of those fruits. Might help cure your coughs. Squeeze either of those fruits, add some hot/cold water then mix some sugar. Boom! Philippines' version of lemonade. Refreshing and healthy!
indian mango little yelowish with bagoong suha.. get a fresh not, its not dry, if it taste a bit sour put little salt atis take a bit and spill out the seeds..get the White flesh to enjoy there is a right way of eating Philippine fruit to make it good

Try makopa, siniguelas, santol, duhat, smaller variety of guava please don't swallow the seeds of the fruits, ..... sampalok.....
OMG TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH SALT
Mergim is in the philippines, you should do a collab with him.
Where’s the guyabano you bought with the other fruits? I’m so bummed that it didn’t get included.
You are still missing a lot of tropical fruits that only grows in the island. Bookmark this next time... santol, siniguelas, lomboy, makopa, star apple, durian, guyabano, rambutan, jackfruit, sampaloc and many more. I expect a second round soon.
Marang, kasoy, mansanitas/aratilis (you can't buy this in the market though).
Caimito, now that's a winner.
I agree you missed a few good ones, santol sineguelas, macopa, Star apple, durian, and rambutan. You also want another shot at the atis (the green fruit with white stuff and a lot of seeds). Also lansones you wanna try the smaller ones with smaller seeds.
But some of them are seasonal.
Join The SINKAMAS also watery ..😂😊

This is common sense. It feels like they started travelling directly from their parents house. Thats at least the vibe :D
bet you're right@@i-am-your-conscience
too much salt 🤣
Just look at their faces getting rounder everyday. 😊 It makes me proud thinking it's because they are in the Philippines and enjoying the fruits and food here.
Yes! And they both look cuter too!

i've had lanzones swarming with ants and they were quite sour so it's not a sure guide
well said 😊

I cringed when they dipped that indian mango into the sea of salt. That mango will be too salty.
It is better when dipped in soy sauce
Tbh, I only eat Indian mango for the bagoong.

Calamansi is good for your cold. Just add water and a little bit of honey or sugar for sweetness.
