Martian Manhunter is one of the most powerful characters in the franchise, on several occasions he's even held his own in a fight against a Kryptonian, but (except in a few continuities where he is the last of his kind) he's from the neighboring planet in our solar system with an entire population of people with similar abilities, and they have their own ships or can even just fly between worlds under their own power, how is it that humanity never had to deal with them before Superman?
Amazing to see how all of this is interweaving so well. And I'm sure all these governments looking for aliens will be a double edged sword. They may find some allies like Martian Manhunter and Captain Marvel, but they are bound to get the attention of so many alien races out there not so benevolent. Probably why they keep coming to Earth despite it being so out of the way. We got their attention over and over.
