    Thanks again very much to make such a great video and showing the resistors how they get loose and start causing intermittent fault...well spot and especially you are very careful with your words...no F words...so i can still watch and listen while my kid is sitting next to me....thanks for making such a useful and helpful video....god bless you

    Yep I been watching Tina's channel ' she is excellent aswel as it keeps me brushed up on the theory side. Some people hate Biasi boilers" but I find they are quite durable' especially the old brass diverter ones.

      I think they are good. Tough well priced boilers. I have never fitted one though!!

    Thanks Ollie great one as normal, it’s good to see you showing us the painstaking task of tracing & rectifying the intermittent fault.
    Gawd knows we’ve all been there, however, it’s very satisfactory fix it.
    Ignition boards are a common problem on lots of SE(& Band B) boilers.
    One thing I’d of done, re-soldered the PCB & put the new board into van stock. Easy money on a £280 fixed price repair.....Kerching, Kerching!,,

    Thank you so much for putting out this video.... Bloody hell we been through so many so called specialist who advise was to just change the boiler... When the fix is so simple.... Not a diy job but know what the problem might be I can now look for someone competent to make the repair

    Thanks for this. I have kept my Biasi M90F going for over 17 years, and lost count of the times I have had to solder dry joints over the years.
    However, an intermittent fault, whereby the CH only comes on after running DHW might mean it's beyond economical repair.
    I do know that the Expansion vessel is leaking and loosing pressure slowly, but unsure whether this might manifest itself as that intermittent fault.

    • @HeatingGeek
      @HeatingGeek  4 года назад +1

      No, the vessel won't cause this intermittent issue. It could be the main PCB or an NTC issue.

    • @dardobartoli
      @dardobartoli 4 года назад

      @@HeatingGeek As the expansion vessel is definitely knackered, I'll get it replaced. As for the main board it appears not to have any poor solder joints (unlike the ignition sequence PCB) but may consider changing. Int the meantime I'll investigate the NTC and if all that fails, will replace the boiler. Thanks for advice.

      @@dardobartoli Ok, Good luck with it. :-)

    • @dardobartoli
      @dardobartoli 4 года назад

      @@HeatingGeek Vessel replaced, along with new ignition pcb, then the main pcb, and both thermistors and have flushed the system, thorough clean of exhange unit... guess what, still the same issue. Only now everything works for longer and hotter (I think) before I get the dreaded fast flashing green light and no ignition.
      In short, everything works as expected and after an undefined period of CH and/or DHW the boiler goes off and the green light rapidly flashes. Then after an undefined period, run the DHW and all works again as expected.
      This M90e is like one of the family now, I don't want to replace it :-(

    🙏👌🤔So, my green lights stopped working but still the radiator working&hot the green lights must be workng always or not neceserally?!
    2nd.i used radiator key(I bought ebay £1.60) just take out the Pressure time to time from the radiator, but I realised it I taken to much pressure out from them, so the radiators aren't getting warm.., so on the boiler I'm done something the pressure came back, but I wasn't sure how much pressure is good up to number 2 or 3 or 4 or less, I think mine one it was 2.5
    But after 2 days it was around 2 or the biasi boiler automticly selected itself the right pressure number?!
    TO BE HONEST AT THE SAME TIME I WAS HAPPY BECAUSE MY RADIATORS MUCH WARMER THEN BEFORE... 🙏👌🤔
    3rd if the green light doesn't work its a small sign do something or the boiler could work without the green light?!
    And sometimes it happened before this so when we used the radiator /hot water time to Time we realised it we don't have hot water or radiators are not hot, so we turned off the electric & turn back on and some reason when we turned back the electric the boiler was on again & we had hot water & radiator was hot again, what are connections between them?!
    Thanks your time.., have a good day..
    🤔

    Very good mate
    You have gone all the way to prove that it is the pcb
    Your friend channel
    I did watch.
    But yours more accurate and logical approach towards fault finding.
    Tina mentioned to do gas rate on a logic that first you have to run the appliance for ten minutes for the injector to expand to allow more gas to pass
    Which this is not the way i was trained.
    We know we must not poke injector with a needle because the hole may get big
    But my theory is if the injector expand the gas flow will increase through the injector
    You and i know where the injector is located inside ideal logic so how does heat expand the injector
    I am confused but you have more experience can you through some light on to tinas video
    My intention is not to put anyone down but i want understand in logical sense
    So why do we have to run the boiler for ten min before we do gas rate a combi boiler
    You know you put the boiler on maximum demand or engineers mode to do gas rate and then gas rate on heating
    So i don't get it on tinas video
    But shes doing good work

      The time thing is in IGEM document. Not very relevant to newer boilers but the burners do expand. Watch my Glowworm Ultimate video to see some of the things you ask about. :-)

    It’s not against the law to repair a pcb but unless it been tested by pcb Manufacturer once you fit it you are asking for trouble, it’s the person who fit it is Liable if there’s a fire and if gas safe don’t prosecute you ,then customers insurance will take you to the cleaners!

      @@jamesjulian BG make the rules with gas safe so I think we will see some changes come in sooner or later (Under the radar I'm sure). Maybe it's happened. Re soldering a resister is using the same OEM parts. I can see it causing a problem.
      Have you ever known someone go to court for it?

    • @jamesjulian
      @jamesjulian 5 лет назад

      25 years ago they ran the show, I know rules are written after there mistakes and as the biggest gas Employer there working practices are considered , its British standards, building regulations and manufactures instructions,. And in manufactures instructions it normally says genuine parts parts only to cover themselves and that’s where people become unstuck , the ask is yes I have known people to be in court. I feel like the geek 🤓now . Have a good day
