Terry, this was great. Ok, now how do you create an Applique that has 2 different fabrics that need to be applied. For example a turtle legs head and then the shell. Do you have this addressed in the de11? Did that question make since?
Melba Smith - if it is overlapping, you have to break down the parts and start with the bottom layer. It would be easier to digitize this manually in PE Design 11 or another software package.
Thank you for all the amazing videos:) After you have created the applique files I'm assuming these PES files can be copied to a USB stick and used in a scan n cut in order to cut the applique out?
Karen Honey, the Luminaire saves the file’s as a PHX. If you have a Scan N Cut DX 225, you can designate the placement line as a cut line using the thread that is a cut thread. It is at the bottom of the thread chart. If you don’t have a model DX 225, but have PE Design 11, you can send the file to your software and select the cut line there to send it to the machine. I have videos showing this. My Scan N Cut is a CW650 so this is what I have to do.
Terri, I am a new owner of the Brother Luminaire 2. I created a heart design with the words "My Comfort Pillow" n Embroidery. I want to take it to My design Center to add a Satin stitch around the exterior of the bordered heart. How do I do that ?
Terry - Thank you so much for all your tutorials - I learn so much! I would like to create a large piece of fabric - about 24" square - using My Design Center and one of the background fills. I can fill the large hoop but I am having trouble trying to figure out how to re-hoop the fabric and connect the design so that I can end up with a piece of fabric measuring 24" square. Could you please create a lesson to show us how to accomplish this?
You by far the best teacher for Limiaire😊
Another great video - I'm anxious to get done with all the projects I have to start using Design Center
Now that I have a Luminaire (yay!!) I'll be binge watching your videos! Thank you so much for sharing you knowledge!
Terry I am really enjoying your videos and learning a lot. Thank you so much!

@@terrymaffitt4012 Thank you! I was wondering how that was done too!!!
@@terrymaffitt4012 Thank you so much:) I have the CM900 (UK) model and I guess I'd need to sent the file to PE Design 11 as you suggest.

Is there a single running placement stitch? Thank you, Terry
Carol Weber - unfortunately no.
