So I created along with you and stitched out Josephine's flower. It came out very lovely. I love the textural part of the flower. Best of all, that flower was very instructive. If you have a Luminaire this lesson would be advantageous to follow along with and produce. My thanks to you AND to Josephine's whose creativity and generosity made this possible.
Wow! Wow! How beautiful, and easy design, thank you to both ladies. Now I feel that I understand better and this design and tutorial encourages me to try and play with my machine!
So much to learn from you . you are a great teacher. I like sewing tops and tee shirts and fine clothes. How does the brother feet handle these clothes in your opinion? Can I get better feet for edge stitching more than 1/8 inch to the left . The feet seem too wide and I do not have control for precision on stretch or fine fabrics. Thanks , Saundra
George Miller - There are some optional feet for Brother but you may want to look for feet supplied by third parties. I own a Pfaff and Bernina machine as well and feel they sell more special purpose feet. Baby lock does sell some optional feet that fit our machine too because Solaris is the same as a Luminaire. The machine has a beautiful stitch but I think Brother has spent more time promoting embroidery and my design center because that is what everyone wants. Those of us who love to sew garments have been left behind.
Very informative! love this, thank you to Terry and Josephine!

Terry can you use the center button to position the flower within a thevflower
I would place the center in the center using the center button, then add the flower. While the flower is selected, choose the center button.
