Sheryl Swoops needs to just admit she cannot stand a white girl out there out-working, out-thinking, and dammit - out-playing 'her' black rookie players by 1000% - Clark had 212 pts. by 13 games, Reese has 157; although their FG% is close, with CC 38.3% and AR 37.1%, their eFG% (factoring in the value of the shots made in addition to their shooting %) CC is 48.3% and AR is still 37.1% cause she can't make 3s so never even tries; Half of AR's rebounds are ORB with likley 75% of those being her own missed shots she picks up while CC's are 5.1overall with only 0.4 ORB; AR only shoots within the 2 point line and has a 75.7% on FT while CC is 90.1% on FT AND drains 3s from the logo better than anyone else in their rookie year (including Steph Curry); AR has 2.1 APG (cause she rarely passes) while CC has 6.2 (would be over 10 easy if her teammates actually started catching the damn passes) -I could go on, but the long of it is, AR is no ROTY - she definitely Deserves mention of having the 3rd highest PF rate in the league but that's not a positive.

No basketball is not a physical game. It has been transformed into a prison basketball game over the last 30 years. Basketball used to be a game of stamina and skill. As a non WNBA observer, I followed Caitlin and the Iowa basketball players to their respective careers after graduation. I now follow Caitlin and Kate in the WNBA because they play BASKETBALL, not prison basketball. I appreciate the skills these two women exhibit and hopefully their teammates will learn from them and that they shut the door on bigots like you.
It's hard for people like TSpoon (Sky coach), Reese, Carter, and Mulkey (LSU coach) to hide the bitter, sour side of their personalities when they are criticized. We can criticize what they say or how they act, but we can't blame them for their personalities. Your personality is pretty much fixed once you're an adult. It develops from how your brain is wired, how you were brought up, and from environmental/social factors that affect your behavior and what decisions you make. It's not your fault; it's just who you have become. The wiring in your brain continually changes according to what you experience every day, but it seems to me those changes don't have much of an impact on your personality. Since it's not likely your personality is going to change, that makes it difficult or impossible to expect everyone to be polite in their discourse. How you treat people is a result of your personality. To use one of Caitlin's familiar statements, but in the "personality-changing" context, "It is what it is".
Coach Pope! I saw an interesting video on AkNation today. He played a tape from 1997 when they were starting the WNBA. You know the uproar from vets about all the clamour around Caitlin? Well, on the tape, it showed how Michael Jordan went around touting Cheryl Swoopes, AND the tape showed how Swoopes got her own signature shoe. Not only that, but Nike then followed that shoe up with the Air Swoopes II. Not exactly on this topic, but I found it interesting because I've seen so many articles lamenting that only three white players got shoes, not including Catilin's upcoming shoe. Swoopes has never brought this up because it doesn't fit in with her narrative. And Michael Jordan going around with Swoopes kind of refutes the idea that Caitlin's been unjustly over-hyped.

I was never into the wnba, but now I definitely enjoy watching CC play and enjoy her off court personality as well. I hope she continues improving. Look forward to watching some more.

Was CRAZY about Dr. J in '79 when he made "The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh" and followed the 76ers for years and then Jordan during the Jordan era. Got a little bored during LeBron era and then CC came along, and I got excited again! I've been watching and following American Basketball leagues since the 90s and even when my attention has 98% of the time been on the men's game, I still know a few household names in the women's league even though I'd never watched them till Caitlin. Sheryl's Basketball history and name was unknown to me until few months ago all because of Caitlin Clark. Her obvious racial bias, bitterness, jealously and hate of anything Caitlin goes back to her college coaching days where she faced serious backlash from her players and I'm sure even further back. She's continued to prove herself an incorrigible liar, fact twister with a distasteful personality. I mean it's okay to have a favorite but to be so far gone as to trying to rewrite history or white wash your favorite and deny or twist fact when the truth is visible to the entire world is just outright disgusting and shameful. I've never seen a live Basketball game in an Arena but I watch most games live just like I do most European football leagues and I've done so mostly from Nigeria. A league with legends that's unable to grow their league by themselves without outside help effectively can't handle their own version of Larry Bird. It's beyond shameful. They live and play in a league that has over 80% Black representation in a country that is at least 70% white (Caucasian) yet they can't figure out why more are drawn to their league now because of CC. What a bunch of clowns especially the so called retired active players and legend (a word too loosely used to describe them) and the wannabe female Stephen A Smiths and Skip Bayless who are blinded by the colour of Caitlin's skin. The way they try to diminish and relegate here fandom to racial reasons rather than the fact of her elite Basketball abilities and playing style tells most of us exactly what their problems are. That's the reason their league has been stuck in the unknown territory for decades. Strong, bold queens bringing out the race, gender and victimhood card whenever they can't get things done. This charity praise for Angel is ridiculous. Angel is not there yet. Even the championship title game won by LSU over Iowa was due to a reserve player who came off of LSU's bench and hit seven 3-pointers in a row - didn't miss one shot, to win the game. Yet, all of this talk about Angel and nobody even mentions the LSU player who actually contributed the most to win that game. Angel's antics outweigh her basketball playing talents. Angel wasn't even the star player on that LSU championship team. Even now, Kamilla Cardosa is a much better and more efficient player than Angel, but it's Angel's antics that keep Angel being talked about more than Cardosa. Angel should not be considered over Cardosa for any spot.

Well WTF happened to Angel because 34% FG and getting half of her own OR comes from her own missed shots she would be at 7 or 8 rebounds. Loyola fires Sheryl Swoopes after investigating claims of player mistreatment
Loyola’s lengthy investigation into allegations of player mistreatment by women’s basketball coach Sheryl Swoopes ended Sunday evening with a three-sentence statement announcing Swoopes has been fired.
Swoopes, a Hall of Fame player regarded as one of the greatest to play the sport, had been under the microscope since April, when Loyola announced it had launched a university investigation after a rash of player transfers. The school later hired a law firm to assist with the investigation and interviewing of players.
Athletic director Steve Watson declined Sunday through a spokesperson to elaborate on how the decision was reached or what the school discovered during the investigation.
“Sheryl Swoopes is no longer serving as the women’s basketball coach at Loyola University Chicago,” Watson’s statement read. “A search for her replacement will begin immediately. Loyola thanks Sheryl for her service to the women’s basketball program.”

Sheryl Swoops needs to just admit she cannot stand a white girl out there out-working, out-thinking, and dammit - out-playing 'her' black rookie players by 1000% - Clark had 212 pts. by 13 games, Reese has 157; although their FG% is close, with CC 38.3% and AR 37.1%, their eFG% (factoring in the value of the shots made in addition to their shooting %) CC is 48.3% and AR is still 37.1% cause she can't make 3s so never even tries; Half of AR's rebounds are ORB with likley 75% of those being her own missed shots she picks up while CC's are 5.1overall with only 0.4 ORB; AR only shoots within the 2 point line and has a 75.7% on FT while CC is 90.1% on FT AND drains 3s from the logo better than anyone else in their rookie year (including Steph Curry); AR has 2.1 APG (cause she rarely passes) while CC has 6.2 (would be over 10 easy if her teammates actually started catching the damn passes) -I could go on, but the long of it is, AR is no ROTY - she definitely Deserves mention of having the 3rd highest PF rate in the league but that's not a positive.

No basketball is not a physical game. It has been transformed into a prison basketball game over the last 30 years. Basketball used to be a game of stamina and skill. As a non WNBA observer, I followed Caitlin and the Iowa basketball players to their respective careers after graduation. I now follow Caitlin and Kate in the WNBA because they play BASKETBALL, not prison basketball. I appreciate the skills these two women exhibit and hopefully their teammates will learn from them and that they shut the door on bigots like you.

It's hard for people like TSpoon (Sky coach), Reese, Carter, and Mulkey (LSU coach) to hide the bitter, sour side of their personalities when they are criticized. We can criticize what they say or how they act, but we can't blame them for their personalities. Your personality is pretty much fixed once you're an adult. It develops from how your brain is wired, how you were brought up, and from environmental/social factors that affect your behavior and what decisions you make. It's not your fault; it's just who you have become. The wiring in your brain continually changes according to what you experience every day, but it seems to me those changes don't have much of an impact on your personality. Since it's not likely your personality is going to change, that makes it difficult or impossible to expect everyone to be polite in their discourse. How you treat people is a result of your personality. To use one of Caitlin's familiar statements, but in the "personality-changing" context, "It is what it is".

Coach Pope! I saw an interesting video on AkNation today. He played a tape from 1997 when they were starting the WNBA. You know the uproar from vets about all the clamour around Caitlin? Well, on the tape, it showed how Michael Jordan went around touting Cheryl Swoopes, AND the tape showed how Swoopes got her own signature shoe. Not only that, but Nike then followed that shoe up with the Air Swoopes II. Not exactly on this topic, but I found it interesting because I've seen so many articles lamenting that only three white players got shoes, not including Catilin's upcoming shoe. Swoopes has never brought this up because it doesn't fit in with her narrative. And Michael Jordan going around with Swoopes kind of refutes the idea that Caitlin's been unjustly over-hyped.

Was CRAZY about Dr. J in '79 when he made "The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh" and followed the 76ers for years and then Jordan during the Jordan era. Got a little bored during LeBron era and then CC came along, and I got excited again! I'm sure there are racists out there on both sides, but I imagine for the vast majority of people, we love talent, we love people who play in an entertaining way, we love a great story, and we love athletes who let their play do most of the talking.

I've been watching and following American Basketball leagues since the 90s and even when my attention has 98% of the time been on the men's game, I still know a few household names in the women's league even though I'd never watched them till Caitlin. Sheryl's Basketball history and name was unknown to me until few months ago all because of Caitlin Clark.
Her obvious racial bias, bitterness, jealously and hate of anything Caitlin goes back to her college coaching days where she faced serious backlash from her players and I'm sure even further back. She's continued to prove herself an incorrigible liar, fact twister with a distasteful personality.

A league with legends that's unable to grow their league by themselves without outside help effectively can't handle their own version of Larry Bird. It's beyond shameful.
They live and play in a league that has over 80% Black representation in a country that is at least 70% white (Caucasian) yet they can't figure out why more are drawn to their league now because of CC. What a bunch of clowns especially the so called retired active players and legend (a word too loosely used to describe them) and the wannabe female Stephen A Smiths and Skip Bayless who are blinded by the colour of Caitlin's skin.
The way they try to diminish and relegate here fandom to racial reasons rather than the fact of her elite Basketball abilities and playing style tells most of us exactly what their problems are. That's the reason their league has been stuck in the unknown territory for decades.
Strong, bold queens bringing out the race, gender and victimhood card whenever they can't get things done. Now look at how they're out there getting all the DEI (Didn't Earn It) opportunities and messing up it up.
I really tried ignoring their ignorant irrational nonsense and just focus on watching Caitlin's games while the rest of the can fade for all I care but the so called "legend" Sheryl just got me really pissed off.

Angel Reese shoots 37% from the field and most of her shots are CLOSE to the basket. She should be shooting 50-60% at least.
Sheryl has lost her mind. Angel Reese isnt even the best rookie on her team. If the Sky started giving Cordousa the same touches, they'll start winning more. Cordousa actually has a post game and she's the biggest on the court. I dont even have to explain why CC is the best rookie lol
I was wondering about Cardoso. I seen her play live and she seemed intimidated by the other aggressive players. I want to hear about others impressions of her game.

I understand that some Black folks, like a couple of my siblings, feel as if they are "traitors to the race" if they don't big-up Angel Reese when Caitlin praises go up. Stop it! This charity praise for Angel is ridiculous. Angel is not there yet.
Even the championship title game won by LSU over Iowa was due to a reserve player who came off of LSU's bench and hit seven 3-pointers in a row - didn't miss one shot, to win the game. Yet, all of this talk about Angel and nobody even mentions the LSU player who actually contributed the most to win that game.
Angel's antics outweigh her basketball playing talents. Angel wasn't even the star player on that LSU championship team. Even now, Kamilla Cardosa is a much better and more efficient player than Angel, but it's Angel's antics that keep Angel being talked about more than Cardosa. Angel should not be considered over Cardosa for any spot.
