- Two people remain on the run after a terrifying incident in Melbourne's Bourke Street Mall which sent shoppers running for safety as a speeding car fled police.
A green sedan sped through the busy shopping district after police tried to pull it over just before 5pm on Thursday afternoon believing it had fake number plates.
After hitting a bollard, a man from the passenger side jumped from the car and fled on foot while the driver performed a U-turn and escaped police.
The Mitsubishi Lancer was later found in Albert Park with its number plates missing.
Police say there have been no reports of injuries and don't believe the driver intended to harm anyone during the incident.
Aussies are having a hard time recognising Australia these days.
@Dan Maunder Spot the Aussie in the crowd
Dumb.
Relevance?
@@creditelectric How exactly is the "truth" dumb?
And does it have to be relevant to mention?
I mean lately the youtubes comments section is awash with silly kiddy attempts at jokes copy pasted and spammed up and down the comments section so i mean what really is relevant now??
Yep i agree! 👍🏻
Imagine if they were anti lockdown protesters. They wouldn't of got away.
Wouldn’t have, not wouldn’t of ffs.
Of all the people to interview...gotta love the diversity.
😑

A mask wearing import that's scared of terrorists 🙄. Chairman Dan would be very happy.
No description.
I wonder why.
Would've been helpful to mention it's just a police chase in the beginning. The title made it sound like he was running down people.
A lot of things are going wrong in Melbourne and it been going on for a while now.
Wonder why 🇨🇳 🌙
@Mike Hunt where is Brenton Tarrant from? Or can’t you discuss him in AUS?
but you can shoot up heroin in a safe injecting room while your daughter attends gender clinic for gender transitioning, no consent.
@Mike Hunt 😂 that’s a good one. maybe he could get out, as a political prisoner... maybe a trade could be made....I personally enjoy his writings , they are almost completely spot on (that’s why they are banned down that way)
That poor car
How many times does this shit happen?
b r kumar - 😆
until you aint allowed to drive any more...
What no donuts?
Front wheel drive car
Hard prey to catch for them. Too easy beating up distressed business owners and pregnant women.
The cops didn’t want any dents on their new cars. That’s why they got away
"The peoples new cars" But then again, they do have a ABN. That would be a conflict of interest, correct?
@Mike Hunt hahaha. True
Czech rep. has been in total lockdown with all commerce and services closed (except supermarkets and drugstores) since December (and before that since October, with barely a few weeks with shops opened before the next lockdown), curfew at 8pm, schools closed since September, ban on all social activities, etc. And, now the PM said it’s not enough (!) and even stricter “measures” will be announced soon (likely a total ban on leaving home, as well as closure of manufacturing/factories, etc).
Slovakia continues with the forced “testing” every 2-3 weeks. As before, those without a negative test certificate are not allowed to leave home (i.e., can’t go to work, buy anything at a shop, or even go for a walk). They’ve openly said these bi-weekly “tests” will be here to stay (along with the total lockdown, it seems)… until everyone is “vaccinated”. Also, the new “pandemic” law now allows the govt to remove anyone from their home and put them into “isolation” facilities (prisons/camps?).
The Canadian leak was indeed true, it seems… it’s been playing out 100% as the document said it would, ever since October.
I’m utterly shocked… for the most part, Eastern Europe has gone full-blown “covid” tyranny, and with pretty much zero resistance from the populace. I’ve always been saying that Westerners’ idea that Eastern Europeans are more awake or more courageous or more opposed to totalitarianism (than people in the West) is not true, but even I am shocked and disgusted at seeing this. All of these countries (except Belarus and to a lesser extent a couple of places in the Balkans) have been in more or less total lockdown since October, with curfews, bans on leaving/entering the country (in the case of Hungary), businesses forcefully closed for many months, etc. But Slovakia is, with no doubt, the most tyrannical now (along with China, I suppose)… can’t believe everyone has just submitted to all of this (forced fake “testing”, total lockdown since October, schools closed since March 2020, the economy completely - and deliberately - destroyed, etc). And in Eastern Europe the governments are not paying anything to the businesses they’ve closed down…(the only payment in Czech rep. or Slovakia, is about 10 euros PER DAY per employee - as “compensation”; and nothing to compensate the business owner, of course). And still, people have been obeying ever since March.
I was born in Australia certainly not the place I grew up in now you seriously do not know what's going to happen people ran over n killed just walking their dog spot the aussie etc
Punctuation. Is. Important.
Yeah well it isn't 1960 anymore which hasn't sunk in for many, Paul Hogan doesn't rate & arguably should never have, but your phobias keep you occupied.
@@creditelectric in 1960 we were a multicultural country, in 1860 we were a multi cultural country. the phobias are a construct in your head
@@jaybruz.5688 Chinese immigrants were widely resented on the gold fields or during World War1 many of German heritage had rocks thrown at houses being my great grandparents or in the 1960's & later when too often the Anglo's called others wogs or other derogatory names or were ostracised such as the nice Italian family neighbours where I grew up. A generation later the Vietnamese were treated with deep suspicion & today are respected neighbours. No it isn't the Oz I grew up in thankfully. Nothing stays the same & the couple with one pregnant tragically cut short doesnt define Australia, there are some nasty ideas being peddled deliberately to try & unravel us.
'spot the aussie etc' So ignorant.
@Mike Hunt I get it now everything is a conspiracy,I didn't know I was such a threat for providing for myself, being diligent & persistent, working hard, living in the house in a good inner suburb that I do & never a need for the dole nor will I likely ever, opening up choices for me & the other.None of it happened by accident. Smorgans, Grollo, Frank Lowy of Westfield, Arvi Parbo started in Western Mining Corp, Lindsay Fox Linfox would all agree. ALL started as migrants with one exception who built something worthwhile.
Two on the run and no cctv footage?
Should not chase through public streets, not only are the cops risking other peoples lives but their own as well...
Always seems to happen in Bourke Street. What is the pattern here?
Always? One scumbag with a record mows down pedestrians in 2017 & its always, but congratulations on another moron giving you a like.
@Mike Hunt Common thread is drug use.Would "Go to church & sing the hymn, judge him by the colour of his skin" apply to you? Your knee jerk response once again seems to be centred on race. I guess it is a inter generational issue for you from way back.
@UCj79g131NjOb1eeesCkzdUg Hopeless deflection & now thrashing around on the floor in your own shit.Try doing something useful with the rest of your life rather than being a Sky doormat. Your name isn't lost on me either, childish comedy & is nothing new.
And dont tell me they got away...in a smashed up car wow
Strategy or Tactic? 😷
Fake number plates lol, I like they way my aussie brothers and sisters speak. Much love from america.
I’m sure, like last time, the police called head office to help them decide what to do.
10-4 are they wearing masks. Yes, ok let them go nothing serious to report. Thanks control.
The police in the car were downright incompetent. Why on earth did they drive up to the car and leave a forward escape route open? The driver bolted so easily. Honestly, they’re seriously incompetent.
that ending is crazy
Another Bourke Street incident...
So they removed the 100kph sign in the mall, installed during lockdown.
I know it gets exciting, but that poor bloody cop was nearly squashed. Lucky the driver wasn't a proper bastard.
the ending is crazy
Define terrifying... reporter wielding umbrella...
Ahhhhh an Australian chicom hmm the true owners of Australia 🇦🇺 🤔
Good to see the cops finally earning their money! Instead of fining law abiding men and woman on the orders of unlawful tyrant criminals
No description of perpetrators? Ho hum
How did they get away?
Cops too risk averse to make decisions.
Could have taken chase on foot.
It would appear that they did it in a car.
I'm glad I wasn't there at the time.
now if we had police patrolling the streets like we use to instead of arresting innocent people not wearing masks, things like this would probably not happen! police should concentrate on crimes, not unlawful directives!!!
I watched until the end , NO WAY, the ending is crazy
HAVE A BEAUTIFUL. FRI. SKY NEWS AUSTRALIA. ENJOY YOUR. NICE. DAYS. TAKE CARE STAY. SAFE. STRONG AND. HEALTHY. GOD. BLESS. U ALL
Not again....
We all know what they look like now.
Is it raining everywhere?
Yeah global climate warming change is everywhere
There is no greater danger than a citizen not wearing a mask. Even rampaging cars are less dangerous.
And people fear guns.
Must have been wearing masks.
Trippin on ice again baby.
Not again
NO WAY
that ending tho
Car travels over tram lines. How terrible!:)

Why does the government keep spending money on extra security defences they need to spend on better training for police
Victoria Police are trained extremely well to arrest pregnant women for a Facebook post...
Cops are trained for 2 months only, with bare minimum fitness standards, most recruits joining the Covid taskforce.
Last Bourke st incident , inquiry found cops too risk averse to make decisions.
I watched until the end
1st,,,,,, from Canada
I watched till the end
@FoxNews claims Lachlan Murdoch is a homosexual in a sham marriage
For me its this simple, i don't care, the way the Vic Police have acted for the last 12 months, i feel ZERO sympathy for them, i think they deserve NO help from the public, they deserve NO respect or trust whatsoever all they deserve is scorn & mockery. I'd walk right past if i saw a cop getting bashed etc these days. You see, this is what it comes down to when you love your power & authority too much & try to stand over the people. We WILL & HAVE turned on you, well everybody except for the sheep who just love the jackboot on their throats & think the chains they have been put in are pretty & shiny. Real police work is beyond their capabilities, they are only good at revenue raising & trampling over peoples rights. You turn on the people & the people will turn on you, it's project destiny mate. They are gonna push the people too far one day.
Good God I hope they find those people soon and safely
NO WAY
