Bruninho was imposed by his father the coach Bernardinho when he was not ready yet.
Ricardinho was a genious. Pity we couldn't see him longer in the Brazilian team. It is the biggest spot in Bernardinho carreer. He didn't managed it well.

It was like when Michael Jordan Jordan's teammate was at the foul line and he'd do that putback dunk if it missed while everyone was still standing around.
Literally looks like time stopped and only Marshall and the ball were moving. Reminds me of Messi when he took the ball and literally dribbled through the whole defence of Real Madrid and scored while nobody from Barca even crossed the halfway line.

Still missing Ron Zwerver, Steve Timmons, Karch Kiraly, Mauricio Lima, Alexandder Sabin, Italian Team of the 90’s, Jeff Stork, Bob Cvrtlik, Russian Team of the 80’s, Bartosz Kurek, Juantorena, Zaytsev, Robertlandy Simon, and all the brazilian teams that have made a change in volleyball: jump serve, pipe attack in fast play action, and I can keep going with this!!

In my opinion Despaigne and Kiraly are the 2 best players ever. Andrea Zorzi is close though
To be fair, the backrow attack was introduced by the polish in the 60's. Making it faster was just an evolution that can not easily attributed to a single player or nation. The fast middle attack was invented by the japanese. The modern version of the spike jump serve was polished by John Barrett (a Canadian) in the early 80s, but it did not hit the stage full force until the 1984 summer olympics when Brazil faced of against Karh Kiraly's highly favorde US team. It was mainly Renan Dal Zotto (one of the all time great outsiders) that really made it popular.

Karch Kiraly should be at the pinnacle of this list. 2 indoor gold medals, 1 gold medal in '96 on beach. The only man to do it indoor and outdoor. 147 AVP tournament wins. 3 NCAA championships in college... AND now he's got a bronze and gold coaching the USA women's volleyball team.
Steve Timmons makes a good case too considering he also won alongside Karch indoor in '84 and '88...then a bronze in '92. If Giba is on this list those guys HAVE to be on this list. There's some comparative greatness there that would kick Clay Stanley off the list, and he's a great player.
No mention of Karch? Passing, defense, setting and banging from the outside. He could do it all. He HAS to be on an all time list.

Cara na minha humilde opinião, pra o mim melhor libero que já existiu na história do voleiboll, foi o Serginho. O cara dominava todos os fundamentos, de passe defesa, e ainda levantava muito bem. Podia deixar com ele era um segundo levantador, inclusive até pro ataque de meio o cara levantava. Qual o libero que faz isso hoje em dia. O cara é uma lenda.

I know it's been a long time since posting this video. Just quick flashback that came to my mind.
I remember when I was young and I fell in love with volleyball. Our Poland team was pretty good in 2000s. Brasil was out of reach for everybody, they were just too good with Sergio Santos and Ricardo Garcia (2 goats of their positions). But as a individual player Semen Poltavsky was THE ONE in my mind. He was the one who always torn our hearts and I used to hate him. The dude was just beast. He was just unfortunate that he played in golden era of Brasil.
Ricardinho invented the volleyball we know today!! Brazil became beatable when he got out...before nobody could win.

For me there is no list of volleyball legends without Kirally, Ricardinho, Gustavo, Musersky, Kasinsky, Andrea Giani and besides Stanley far from being so recognized, Zagumny was great, but there were others better, Marouf is good, today he has 5 best that he in activity, none but personal opinions.

Avah Chen he’s front row, Marshall plays outside so if he’s back row he would be middle back not right back, the only time he would attack from the right side is during row 1 and that would only occur if he was in front row
