If you are willing to play DoT teams she's almost as a must pull, with blackswan as another if not the most anticipated character we can alr see the synergy with Kafka's banner before her!!
@@DeathkaiserG For grinding materials she’s fine without another dot character, her own shock is enough damage But she definitely need another dot character if you want to run her for MoC
tbh BS has barely any synergy with Kafka outside of the fact that she's a DOT character: Her stack bonus can't be triggered by Kafka she's just as skill point reliant as Kafka Kafka has no way of helping her stack her DOT outside of her talent. Overall she just seem like a bad unit with no perfectly synergizing teammates.
@@Winter1145I4IDK where you heard those stuffs but..Blackswan's DoT is counted as all 4 types of DoT & Kafka's ult allows sacrament to be considered any regard of dot damage, which means any dot explosion will trigger sacrament: Guina ult, Luka passive, Sampo skill at E4. Kafka does proc sacrament with skill and ultimate.. I could provide you more information but as the description implies she can work with her.. its just by the time she comes out it might/mightn't change
My favorite character,both in gameplay and design. She enables remembrance and nihility in SU golds and gears. She also frees other support for another team in moc.
I'm planning to use my Gaurenteed pity on Kafka cause I really wanna pull for Black Swan. Though I'm a f2p it will be tough getting Swan after getting kafka but let's hope. I just have a question I actually don't have Ruan mei, so is it a problem???
@@Why_AreYou Ruan Mei does make everything easier. But you can run kafka with 2 other dots too (sampo/luka/guinaifen) I’ve been clearing MOCs with them before I got Ruan Mei.

Last couple months I lost 50/50 on nahdia in genshin lost 50/50 on argenti (forced argenti cause I wanted him) lost 50/50 on raun mei and lost the insane 75/25 on SW's LC. I took a break from both games for about 2ish months now after that. I feel you my man
I hope I pull her! She looks fun simply because she enables a completely different team/uses different units only her archetype wants which is great to comfortably build a second team that wants units like Tingyun
I run tingus, Kafka, sampo, and huohuo and Kafka gets her ult like every 0.5-2 turns. It’s such a fun team and also very strong. I’m so so hyped for future nihility characters!
DoT play style is so fun. Genshin players are used to buffing DPS/carry for big oneshot DMG, but this game is meant for estrategy mainly. If you are playing for just spaming skill and ult of your main dmg dealer you are missing the fun part of building dmg overtime like Kafka does. Aplying debuffs and seeing how enemies are dying from accumulation and also are unable to recover from shield break, it's so cool. That's why I also use Ruan Mei, her flower breaks their shield again making another big break dmg plus the previous debuffs of Sampo and Kafka. Really recomend people to give her a try
I'm so glad you've pointed out how good Solitary Healing can be on her. It gives her a massive damage bonus, gives her energy back too so that she gets her Ultimate back faster. I've been using it on her since it came out even though everyone was just 'meh' on it.
Definitely the next best option! Though her own LC is just too good. Stackable speed and mine is at 167 speed and 4.1k atk…I ULT almost every turn or every other turn
Pure Fiction and the new Echo of War boss really gave Solitary Healing more utility with the wave style combat. Now it has a niche over LCs that do more damage on a straight-up fight like Eyes of the Prey, Fermata, or Good Night, Sleep Well.
...i have kafka and Black Swan. MY DoTs sometimes go upwards of 80k. WITH 4 STAR RELICS WITH not that good substats(building acheron for Dat Nihility team with gepard) SHE IS GOOD.
Ever since I pulled for her during her first banner, every SU content Hoyo threw became always 'cheese-able'. In my case, I always cleared any difficulty with only 1 try. 😆
Her and Topaz are on my “want” list, but I’m hesitant to throw my wishes away. Still need either FX or Loucha, DHIL, and maybe Jingliu. As well as saving some in reserve for potential new characters. So much to catch up on.
I am really conflicted with Kafka. I like the idea of a DoT archetype, and currently the only way to viably do it is with Kafka. The entire archetype hinges on her. I either pull Kafka and be able to play DoT, or I save my guarantee for Sparkle (since I skipped Ruan Mei) but I will basically have to give up ever hoping to be able to play a DoT archetype.
Really great guide. Thank you for showing numbers. Especially with MoC resistances and effect hit rate needs. For some reason I couldn't wrap my head around how to balance it out since i didnt want to dump too much effect hit rate into her with E1 and light cone. Probably because im a dumb dumb.
I'm seriously considering getting her light cone this time around. I have GNSW at S5 and SH at S5 but that speed and second dot from her signature light cone would be nice. My new set for her rolled tons of speed so her light cone would most likely push me over the 160 speed threshold and allow me to max out the bonus on that 18% planar set

6mos later, my Kafka has literally carried my account in a lot of game modes. With the release of more tools for DoT to shine, Black Swan, and soon Acheron, I imagine the mileage I'm getting on Kafka will only keep increasing. She's basically THE carry of DoT teams, and while they still function, she just amplifies it by a TON. And the fact that you can just keep stacking dmg amplifiers on your other DoT sources and only really need to optimize Kafka makes her that much better. And she's the quintessential (hot) mommy.
My Kafka is on Prisoner and Glamoth set at 3,643 atk, 28% Effect HR, 165 Speed. She gets a lot of turns when I pair her with Ruan Mei and with her LC she goes up to 189 Speed. She may not deal as much as Seele and other crit based dps but the fact that she gets a lot more turns than them satisfies me.
why no mention of asta ???? i don't have ruen mei ... asta is best to buff atk & spd for the 2p ..... i'm using Kafka(E1S1) + sampo(c5)/luca(c3)/gunifen + Asta + lynx(c6)/Gepard

Biggest question for me(i already have her) is if black swan and kafka will interact. As it is not explicitly stated that black swans debuffs are dots, just that they apply dot, so im not sure if kafka can trigger them. If so, its going to be absolutely broken
started running crit kafka ever since the new sets she got. Dot 4pc set Bis planar Sig LC Using with RM alone just wrecks anything with the sheer amount of damage always being put out from all her attacks along with the DOT damage, i almost exclusively run the hypercarry comp unless i need to bring another dps to break mobs.
I've been loving her so much ever since her first appearance at the start of the game that when she was first released, I pulled for her on both of my account (luckily I didn't lose my 5050 since I accidentally got blade), she is a very fun unit to use. I didn't pull for her lightcone back then and I was wondering if I should pull for her lc now, and I'm really glad I did! I got it on pity 22 🤣🤣
Congrats on pulls, mate. Got her on my main account after her release, sadly still got around 20 pity on secondary, so I'll probably wait till some jades pile up and try my luck the day before banner ends.
Kafka is easily one of my favorite characters. The best thing is, she'll always be relevant since she's the only one who can do what she does. The only downside she has is that you need to build other characters solely for her (e.g. Sampo, Guinaifen, Black Swan). However, this is not much of a problem as you need to build supports for all units, although, Kafka's supports aren't as universal as other units'.
@bepo1k it's about a 14% difference which isn't bad but if you have welt's weapon its better Also "good night and sleep well" is a 4* at S5 is very close to her weapon It will take a bit of luck but kafka definitely has a variety of weapons to choose from her weapon isn't really necessary Fermata is another f2p option accessible from the forgotten hall shop and at S5 it performers better than solitary healing with breaks
@@bepo1702 it KINDA is for using 2 DoT units only, 3rd dot is only from break which isn't 100% uptime. Also reaching 161/201 speed. S5 GNSW is better than solitary. S5 Solitary probably better when all enemies are lightning weak and Kafka is the one that breaks.
been using yukong for my DOT team until i got ruan mei. she's without a doubt hard to play, but give the team the right amount of SPD, that 80% ATK buff is pretty huge.
I started playing star rail and I got she pity 80,Then I tried 10 pulls on her light cone, I simply get the signature light cone on the first pull of the account,I am happy :)
I can't believe i got Kafka, Black Swan and Black Swan's signature Lightcone all in a row without losing 50/50 and using very few wishes. My luck's blowing my mind and i‘m talking as an absolute F2P. My DoT team: Black Swan, Kafka, Tingyun and Lynx is rolling on the game.
For some reason she’s my only character that does damage in my account. probably cause ive never farmed artifacts so I’ve just always added ATK% on her main stat and left.
Dots trigger on break too not just the enemy's turn. That's why Ruan Mei is so busted with dot characters. Although break dots scale with break effect rather than atk & elemental bonus.
I kind of hate this game, because I genuinely want every character. I wish I could pull Kafka (and Black Swan next patch), but I just can’t. It hurts. Even if I got her, I’d never get to build her. I’m still wrestling with Blade’s relics (where are my SPD or HP boots), and I want to build Dr. Ratio, as well as Himeko, Herta, and Asta for Pure Fiction. And then Sparkle in 2.0. And potentially re-runs of Fu Xuan and DHIL. And then other new characters. I just don’t have the Stellar Jades or resources. Edit: Not that anyone cares, but I decided to throw Jades at the Kafka's banner anyways, just to see what happened. What happened is that I got Bronya at 2 pity, and then decided to go all the way as a result. So, now I have Kafka, with no idea when I'll have the spare resources to build her when I've got so many others on the docket right now.
Finally, the character who can be used to dump all those "prisoner relics" I got piled while farming for Ashblazing Duke... I also wonder how well she's gonna work with Ruan Mei/Bronya/Huohuo. I wonder if it's even possible to get her do her followup attack after EVERY character basic attack, like she does in her boss form, or it still remains her 'NPC-exclusive" feature, like Gepards counter move or Svarog's "rocket barrage".
100% effect hit rate won't guarantee shock if the enemy has resistances though. Having a little extra doesn't hurt. Also important to build break effect for those break dots. So it should be elemental buff > atk% > break effect with as much speed as you need to hit certain set thresholds and to spd tune with other teammates.
@@ShapeshifterOS Just don't? There's literally only 4 lightning resistant enemies in the entire game and all of them are weak to the initial trio that you get for free plus dr ratio also exist. When making a guide you don't go to the lowest common denominator, you are guiding, you show what's optimal. If you get more than 29% ehr when rolling atk% and spd that's a happy accident, you also don't pair her against the only 4 lightning resistant enemies or just rely on your dot sub dps if you're hellbent on Kafka vs Kafka gameplay. A guide teaches the newcomers what to aim for and not build weird lvl 1 set ups.
@@ShapeshifterOS Also I forgot to mention that lightning resistant doesn't mean shock (debuff) resistant, I think only 1 enemy in the entire game is resistant to the actual shock debuff and it's so weak that it might die randomly in the aoe
Tbh, with the release of new characters every new patch (new player here too) I think that she will rerun on about 4-6 months. Wanna pull for her too since she's actually the first character that I've liked in the game
i just got her and was abt to clear Gold and gears diff 5 C2 with nihility it was so stupid that my game lagged cuz of the number of DoTs happening at the same time and she wasnt even level 80 or with max level artifacts, i love her
Finally got her because I wanna try out the dot playstyle and thankfully I did get her after losing to Gepard but at least his E1 is useful. Sadly I didn't get her LC but at least the free five star one is second best. Now for teams I'm just trying this out but I'm doing Kafka, Sampo, Ruan Mei, and HuoHuo.
I luckly got her on my first banner with just 20 pull and I have loved her since then. I currently equipped her with Welt LC, so I was trying to decide to pull for her Signature LC or go for E1
I almost regretted pulling for her, cuz I'm not big on DoTs and I was trying to make JY work. Then I built her and threw my half assed Sampo on her team. She's been my lightning carry ever since. It wasn't even hard to build her, it was wild😅.

My E3S1 Kafka's got 3.9k atk, 154 spd (not counting her LC), and 33.0 ehr. 4pc prisoner, 2pc glamoth. Her gloves and orb are mid af, if I can get better ones with high spd subs I might swap to atk boots so I don't completely outpace the rest of the team. I'm gonna try and get to e6 when I get home from work today. I'll be cutting it a little close, I'm on a guarantee with roughly 160 combined pity and tickets and another 60+ pulls worth of stardust(? Idr what the currency you get from pulling is called) currently in shop. That plus whatever I generate tonight should get me close enough to get 4 5★s. So as long as I win one of the 50/50s I should be set. Edit: And no I'm not a whale, I'm a light spender who started about a week after launch and saved everything until Kafka's first banner where I won every single 50/50 and the 75/25 on her LC banner. I've skipped plenty of other banners since then and the only other 5★ I have eidolons on is e1 Ruan Mei because I got a super lucky early 2nd one 30 pulls after the first while trying to get a Xueyi (who I thankfully got in the 10 pull with the 2nd RM).

Kafka is the only character that made me early finish both gold and gear and swarm disaster SU at torturous difficulty thru nihility path. I have Jingliu, Blade, Jing Yuan, Seele, Fu Xuan, and Luocha, but all I can do is to have abundance path with them in order for me to clear that. But to be fair, Kakfa isn't good with the new Memory of chaos for a fast 3 star, I'm talking about the 11 and 12.
@@cavsfightingroom3692Ruan Mei and Luocha should be faster than BS and Kafka all the time because they are easier to build. BS or any DoT character you’re using should at least be faster than Kafka so they can apply their DoTs. Ideally Kafka and is above 134 speed, so your DoT appliers should be 135 or more.
Yeayy this bann3r is kind to mee. Got ratio lc and kafka lc. Also manage to get 2 kafkas (e1). Won 50 50 streaks😊😊😊 i lost kafka at pity 81 to welt from bann3r 1.4. And luckily kafka reruns faster. Im planning to get blackswan and acheron next. Dot is so much fun to play. U can have fire el3ctro physical wind team at once. It is fl3xible

Still sad I can't found a good confinement relic and stuck with sizzling which gave her 145 speed. I haven't managed to find atk% with speed stats bounded together. 😢

since i dont have ruan mei would harmony TB works for kafka (no clue about the buffs it gives cause i dont have it yet) also my only healer is natasha so thats my only healer option ..... i have guinaifen so thats my dot pair for kafka..... until i either get TB harmony or i can try for ruan mei banner eventually i think thats the team i have right now. if i rush the story i might get Harmony TB before Ruan Mei but who knows.

i pulled her on a single pull last night truly blessed to be adopted by my new mother
6mos later, my Kafka has literally carried my account in a lot of game modes. With the release of more tools for DoT to shine, Black Swan, and soon Acheron, I imagine the mileage I'm getting on Kafka will only keep increasing. She's basically THE carry of DoT teams, and while they still function, she just amplifies it by a TON.
And the fact that you can just keep stacking dmg amplifiers on your other DoT sources and only really need to optimize Kafka makes her that much better. And she's the quintessential (hot) mommy.
My Kafka is on Prisoner and Glamoth set at 3,643 atk, 28% Effect HR, 165 Speed. She gets a lot of turns when I pair her with Ruan Mei and with her LC she goes up to 189 Speed. She may not deal as much as Seele and other crit based dps but the fact that she gets a lot more turns than them satisfies me.
Don’t forget it’s satisfying for enemies get cancer and BOOM!💥
How'd you get her atk so high? Do you run attack orb?
@@nevermindme3714 3.6 is not that high really. Some people use atk boots, they reach up to 4k.

Biggest question for me(i already have her) is if black swan and kafka will interact. As it is not explicitly stated that black swans debuffs are dots, just that they apply dot, so im not sure if kafka can trigger them. If so, its going to be absolutely broken

Using with RM alone just wrecks anything with the sheer amount of damage always being put out from all her attacks along with the DOT damage, i almost exclusively run the hypercarry comp unless i need to bring another dps to break mobs.

I've been loving her so much ever since her first appearance at the start of the game that when she was first released, I pulled for her on both of my account (luckily I didn't lose my 5050 since I accidentally got blade), she is a very fun unit to use. I didn't pull for her lightcone back then and I was wondering if I should pull for her lc now, and I'm really glad I did! I got it on pity 22 🤣🤣
Congrats on pulls, mate. Got her on my main account after her release, sadly still got around 20 pity on secondary, so I'll probably wait till some jades pile up and try my luck the day before banner ends.

Kafka is easily one of my favorite characters. The best thing is, she'll always be relevant since she's the only one who can do what she does. The only downside she has is that you need to build other characters solely for her (e.g. Sampo, Guinaifen, Black Swan). However, this is not much of a problem as you need to build supports for all units, although, Kafka's supports aren't as universal as other units'.
Wait till they add a monster that is "debuff immune" for 3 turns and also uses cleanse
Her LC shock isn't a nice bonus, it's crucial for DoT relic def ignore. Low EHR is fine because she has high speed and multiple FUAs
is her lightcone necessary? or can I get by comfortably with s5 solitary?

@bepo1k it's about a 14% difference which isn't bad but if you have welt's weapon its better
Also "good night and sleep well" is a 4* at S5 is very close to her weapon
It will take a bit of luck but kafka definitely has a variety of weapons to choose from her weapon isn't really necessary
Fermata is another f2p option accessible from the forgotten hall shop and at S5 it performers better than solitary healing with breaks

@@bepo1702 it KINDA is for using 2 DoT units only, 3rd dot is only from break which isn't 100% uptime. Also reaching 161/201 speed. S5 GNSW is better than solitary. S5 Solitary probably better when all enemies are lightning weak and Kafka is the one that breaks.
been using yukong for my DOT team until i got ruan mei. she's without a doubt hard to play, but give the team the right amount of SPD, that 80% ATK buff is pretty huge.

I started playing star rail and I got she pity 80,Then I tried 10 pulls on her light cone, I simply get the signature light cone on the first pull of the account,I am happy :)
I can't believe i got Kafka, Black Swan and Black Swan's signature Lightcone all in a row without losing 50/50 and using very few wishes. My luck's blowing my mind and i‘m talking as an absolute F2P.

For some reason she’s my only character that does damage in my account. probably cause ive never farmed artifacts so I’ve just always added ATK% on her main stat and left.
Dots trigger on break too not just the enemy's turn. That's why Ruan Mei is so busted with dot characters. Although break dots scale with break effect rather than atk & elemental bonus.
I kind of hate this game, because I genuinely want every character. I wish I could pull Kafka (and Black Swan next patch), but I just can’t. It hurts.
Even if I got her, I’d never get to build her. I’m still wrestling with Blade’s relics (where are my SPD or HP boots), and I want to build Dr. Ratio, as well as Himeko, Herta, and Asta for Pure Fiction.
And then Sparkle in 2.0. And potentially re-runs of Fu Xuan and DHIL. And then other new characters. I just don’t have the Stellar Jades or resources.
Edit: Not that anyone cares, but I decided to throw Jades at the Kafka's banner anyways, just to see what happened. What happened is that I got Bronya at 2 pity, and then decided to go all the way as a result. So, now I have Kafka, with no idea when I'll have the spare resources to build her when I've got so many others on the docket right now.
Finally, the character who can be used to dump all those "prisoner relics" I got piled while farming for Ashblazing Duke...
I also wonder how well she's gonna work with Ruan Mei/Bronya/Huohuo.
I wonder if it's even possible to get her do her followup attack after EVERY character basic attack, like she does in her boss form, or it still remains her 'NPC-exclusive" feature, like Gepards counter move or Svarog's "rocket barrage".
Got her in 1 multi while at 10/90 with no guarantee and then got her LC too. Will go for Black Swan next. Got 11k jade saved so far
100% effect hit rate won't guarantee shock if the enemy has resistances though. Having a little extra doesn't hurt. Also important to build break effect for those break dots. So it should be elemental buff > atk% > break effect with as much speed as you need to hit certain set thresholds and to spd tune with other teammates.
It's 130% and why on earth would you square Kafka against a lightning resistant enemy?

@@ShapeshifterOS Just don't? There's literally only 4 lightning resistant enemies in the entire game and all of them are weak to the initial trio that you get for free plus dr ratio also exist. When making a guide you don't go to the lowest common denominator, you are guiding, you show what's optimal. If you get more than 29% ehr when rolling atk% and spd that's a happy accident, you also don't pair her against the only 4 lightning resistant enemies or just rely on your dot sub dps if you're hellbent on Kafka vs Kafka gameplay. A guide teaches the newcomers what to aim for and not build weird lvl 1 set ups.
@@ShapeshifterOS Also I forgot to mention that lightning resistant doesn't mean shock (debuff) resistant, I think only 1 enemy in the entire game is resistant to the actual shock debuff and it's so weak that it might die randomly in the aoe

Tbh, with the release of new characters every new patch (new player here too) I think that she will rerun on about 4-6 months. Wanna pull for her too since she's actually the first character that I've liked in the game
i just got her and was abt to clear Gold and gears diff 5 C2 with nihility it was so stupid that my game lagged cuz of the number of DoTs happening at the same time and she wasnt even level 80 or with max level artifacts, i love her
Finally got her because I wanna try out the dot playstyle and thankfully I did get her after losing to Gepard but at least his E1 is useful. Sadly I didn't get her LC but at least the free five star one is second best. Now for teams I'm just trying this out but I'm doing Kafka, Sampo, Ruan Mei, and HuoHuo.

I almost regretted pulling for her, cuz I'm not big on DoTs and I was trying to make JY work. Then I built her and threw my half assed Sampo on her team. She's been my lightning carry ever since. It wasn't even hard to build her, it was wild😅.

My E3S1 Kafka's got 3.9k atk, 154 spd (not counting her LC), and 33.0 ehr. 4pc prisoner, 2pc glamoth. Her gloves and orb are mid af, if I can get better ones with high spd subs I might swap to atk boots so I don't completely outpace the rest of the team. I'm gonna try and get to e6 when I get home from work today. I'll be cutting it a little close, I'm on a guarantee with roughly 160 combined pity and tickets and another 60+ pulls worth of stardust(? Idr what the currency you get from pulling is called) currently in shop. That plus whatever I generate tonight should get me close enough to get 4 5★s. So as long as I win one of the 50/50s I should be set.
Edit: And no I'm not a whale, I'm a light spender who started about a week after launch and saved everything until Kafka's first banner where I won every single 50/50 and the 75/25 on her LC banner. I've skipped plenty of other banners since then and the only other 5★ I have eidolons on is e1 Ruan Mei because I got a super lucky early 2nd one 30 pulls after the first while trying to get a Xueyi (who I thankfully got in the 10 pull with the 2nd RM).

Having kafka on my team makes simulated univers so easy
Kafka is the only character that made me early finish both gold and gear and swarm disaster SU at torturous difficulty thru nihility path. I have Jingliu, Blade, Jing Yuan, Seele, Fu Xuan, and Luocha, but all I can do is to have abundance path with them in order for me to clear that. But to be fair, Kakfa isn't good with the new Memory of chaos for a fast 3 star, I'm talking about the 11 and 12.
what about speed tuning? isn't that also important? so kafka goes last to be able to detonate the dots?

@@cavsfightingroom3692Ruan Mei and Luocha should be faster than BS and Kafka all the time because they are easier to build. BS or any DoT character you’re using should at least be faster than Kafka so they can apply their DoTs. Ideally Kafka and is above 134 speed, so your DoT appliers should be 135 or more.

Im planning to get blackswan and acheron next. Dot is so much fun to play. U can have fire el3ctro physical wind team at once. It is fl3xible

I'd save farming for ratio, till 2.00 since a debuffs set is coming with it, and he'll work better with it, same for acheron.
since i dont have ruan mei would harmony TB works for kafka (no clue about the buffs it gives cause i dont have it yet) also my only healer is natasha so thats my only healer option ..... i have guinaifen so thats my dot pair for kafka..... until i either get TB harmony or i can try for ruan mei banner eventually i think thats the team i have right now. if i rush the story i might get Harmony TB before Ruan Mei but who knows.
