I started out watching your HP Reboot Loop video, then the Windows 10 Install Media, then the Installing Windows 10 and finally this video. You are great at what you do. I appreciate your thoroughness. Especially, your suggesting what to do next after each video to ensure your PC is working at its best. I thought I was going to have to buy another laptop but I refused because I just bought my HP about a year ago. Then it stopped working for whatever reason. Yes, this is very helpful. New to Windows 10 (I know, I know...). Could not understand before how to update the OS until I saw this video. Reading the "how to" guides don't help these days. They're not written well enough to inform what to look for and what should be happening.

If you feel its stuck, try restarting the computer and then restarting the updates. Thank you so much for the many videos to help my computer get out of its "blue screen of death" (caused by an unknown source while my children were tempting to use it for their school work). Once I reinstalled Windows via USB, I continued to follow your videos to update. When trying to update, it states in red at the top of my updates window: "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes." after attempting to update the status reads, "We can't install some updates because other updates are in process. Restarting your computer may help, and we'll keep trying to update." However, I do not see any pending updates or updates in progress... Every needed update's status reads the same as the one above. How do I move forward from here?
Just keep restarting a few times and trying the updates again. If they still wont process, run the update troubleshooter. You can see that in this video; ruclips.net/video/twjDVfEKfxM/видео.html at 2:45 into the video. If that does not find anything, leave it alone for a couple days and see if it fixes itself.

What's the difference between update your windows with this method and update through the power option when you want to sleep or turn off your device?
Hello, that's a helpful video. Instead of waiting for them to download, another alternative could be using a screen reader like narrator which could read out the download progress of each update. These can also be very useful for visually impaired users of Windows like myself. If you don't want to do this, you can obviusly wait until it compleets.

Thank you, but I have one question, if I keep the charger plugged in for a long time, will it effect the battery life? Some people say change the setting and make the full charge go to 60% at least, idk, any thoughts ?
Keeping your adapter plugged in all the time when the computer is in use will hurt the battery over time (months). Leaving it plugged in during one session wont do anything :)

I had an issue when doing a n update that it got stuck on a loading screen. I followed the instructions to find a fresh install of windows 10, then followed the instruction to install it and now everything works 👍

I have a question... If I update often, does it effect my storage? Like it becomes too full?
Updates should not affect your storage that much. Updates are needed to keep the computer running well.

Hi! Mine has a red exclamation point and says “your devices is missing important security and quality fixes” what does this mean and what do I do?🙃
That means you have important updates to process. You would then start the search as seen here. There could also be a 'Download' or 'Begin Install' button to get the updates running.
@@PC_Monkey mine is brand new and is saying the same thing although its a brand new laptop ...I've updated to latest Windows 10 il restart and it will say it needs updating again but I just did it?...

@@PC_Monkey yes done the windows update and when it restarts it says on the sign in page that windows needs to be updated to the newest version yet it had just done it. So when I sign in and click start windows update and check for updates it says its up to date?

Some will stay at 0% for a very long time while it gets things ready or waits for another update to finish. After a couple days, if its still not progressing, you can try running the Update Troubleshooter as seen here; ruclips.net/video/DDv2gJDjfOM/видео.html

You can install aftermarket stuff if you prefer, but I have always just used Windows Defender which comes automatic with Windows 10. Its default set to auto updates so it should be good forever unless your doing super weird stuff online and need additional coverage :)

Hey brother do these updates take along time??and how can i uodate each one at a time so all are not tryin to update togetehr which makes it really slow
They are mostly automatic so you cannot really slow them down to one-at-a-time. They can take very long or quick depending on how many you have.

Witam, czy omawiasz aktualizacje która popsuła fps w grach jak i przycinały obraz, oraz popsuło się skalowanie rozdzielczości DPI , ramki niedopasowane do okna monitora. Kiedy u mnie było wszystko ok system ważył 46GB po samoczynnej aktualizacji wystąpiły takie problemy na stałe a po 1,6 roku mój system ważył 164GB. Kupiłem nowy dysk i potrzebuje poradnika jakie konkretnie aktualizacje i z której kategorii zainstalować na nowo do poprawnego działania. Nie mam standardowej kopi zapasowej obrazu systemu, ale mam utworzoną kopie systemu przez Norton w formie plików, dalej nie umiem sobie poradzić. 3 lata zbierałem wiedzę co się stało i kolejny rok poświęciłem na poradnikach i troszkę wiedzy mi jeszcze brakuje. ❤
Hello PC Monkey, I was trying to get my laptop up to date and was following the instructions in the video. I had 3 updates left and one update asked me to restart. So I restarted and then when I went to updates there were none to be found. On the top of the screen it was written something like 'pc up to date' I even clicked on show updates and I couldn't find the remaining three. What should I do?
