- Dodge Magnum SRT Hellcat widebody design. In this we take a look at what a modern Magnum SRT, Hellcat & R/T would look like. Would Dodge be able to bring the Magnum back to join the Charger and Challenger? This Magnum has the new Hellcat Redeye widebody kit on it, looks very natural & modern. Should Dodge replace the Charger with the Magnum? Let's take a look at the Magnum Hellcat widebody to see how it looks!!!

Dodge gave up on the Magnums, never to return (from what I hear ) . Did you see the last one? When was that 2008/2009? Terrible 😂. The 2005 RT was great , still have one , been a great car ...except on snow lol
I agreed but it would be very to sell cause most people prefer Durango and most people want suv tooo. But it would be a nice change doe.
@@davidjames5881 I just put winter tires and laugh at Every 4x4 pickup and AWD crossovers that slipped in the ditch on I-94, I have RWD cars and FWD cars my C6 does excellent with tires, lots of people with AWD don’t understand what winter tires are

Junkyard Dave is building a new widebody Magnum based on the current Charger body style. It's even going to have a 1500hp Hellcat motor and AWD. I think he is going on 2 years and 75 videos of the build. The time and engineering he put into it is insane!! You would think it's a factory built concept car.

Junkyard Dave is in the middle of this conversion except he is tackling it a bit different. You should feature his as well when it’s done. @realtransformation has done a great job with his!
Junkyard dave is killing it with his build.
One of the things that I like about the mags, is that they are a true wideody and already have built-in flares integrated within the 1/4s. So they have an advantage over the challenger/charger in that aspect, and is an awesome build

Ive had a 1100 rwhp Magnum for many years. I do like the front end conversions. We are contemplating HC swap with HP90, but i do like my 426 and turbos.
I used to hate wagons until I bought a magnum; it really grew on me when put into certain situations ,they’re so versatile I’d rock a wagon over a 4door anyday of the year

Almost bought a magnum back in the day but Went with the charger because i didnt like the magnum front end. But i would most def get one if they re introduced with a better front end!

Dodge needs to replace the challenger with the Cuda, make the charger a 2 door or 4 door option, then bring back the magnum
Dodge needs to keep the challenger and the charger around can you bring back the cuda and the magnum Because the magnum and the cuda should’ve stayed around

Wish i had the money to do this to my AWD Magnum, estimated cost for the front clip is 3,500 in a non kit form (5000 kit)
Then i don't even want to start on the 2014 charger to keep the awd but update the interior and the motor and trans upgrades

It’s not that bad. I pieced my kit together and I’m in Germany paying in euro. I got all the parts, hellcat bumper, fenders, headlights, headlight pigtail, hood hinges, radiator support, hellcat triple vented hood, all grills and grill vent leds for $2700. All new parts. I can shoot you a parts list if you want. Not to many people showing what all you need for the build.

I bought my Dodge Magnum my senior year of High School back in 2010 now it's 2024 and it's my one and only car still. I would love to have Hellcat engine & hardware one day as I will NEVER get rid of my shaggin wagon. Just continue to do heart transplants to make it last forever!
They should bring the magnum back over the charger. The problem with bringing a wagon out is they are so damn practical, they can haul as much as an SUV and they look cool

Junkyard Dave actually did it right if you watch his channel he is getting close to finishing it. He took a modern charger and merged the back of a magnum to the trunk of the charger. Not a body kit chopped up a charger and magnum and fabricated them together and made a custom carbon fiber roof and also made it a wide body. @junkyarddave

My friend has a Magnum in silver...wish he would do something with it....always liked the Magnum and now that people are modding them with the 392 and 6.2 is awesome...I wouldn't mind getting one and they are going for reasonable prices right now....mopar or no car!

Reminds me of Junkyard Dave on RUclips building a full charger hellcat conversation on his Dodge Magnum. If they would bring the Magnum back they would most likely get rid of Durango hellcat.
Very cool big fan of the 11-14 charger facia. Love the magnum. Honestly think the 300 facia is the best one for the magnum.

Quick observation... The red Hellwagon conversion uses the widebody front and the stock wagon rear. The build is great, lot of good work goes into these, but one step further would set them apart and that's grafting a rear OEM widebody fender on to the wagon. 315/35/20 would look great in back and would be flush with the new fender.
Hey if anyone is interested you guys should check out Junkyard Dave's channel he is actually building a charger Magnum. He's actually cut up a charger and magnum and merging them together not just switching the front clips and he's taking a modified Trackhawk drive train so it's all wheel drive and upping the horse power to 1100hp. Check it out it's a sweet build.

An awd model I think would do well in the srt line you would see.a lot of people with families purchasing it for sure especially if it was priced in 40k dollar segment
The SRT 392 & Hellcat magnums would both look great lowered not lowrider low but just a little plus black out the roof(a b & c pillars) like the range rovers it would really update the appearance significantly

I think idea of refreshing the Magnum in the tuning world is that you'll have to swap not only the engine but also the transmission as well unless you have a complete r/t or srt or hellcat donor car on the side. As much as I love the idea, it seems only a few can pull it off. As far as Dodge bring it back, the platform the Magnum was a Chrysler original platform which cost more than what the platforms of the Charger and Challenger twins.
Seems to be a long shot for FCA to bring it back. However, I do like seeing these Modern Magnum builds. Shows what could be (ballpark).
@@RTLife I'm located in the southeast part of the country, and I rarely see a Magnum for sale these days, I'm not sure you get the same results when you get to car browsing on the internet.
I rarely see Magnums for sale on Cars.com & rarely see them show up at cars meets.

@@RTLife Oh I stand corrected, the Magnum was based off the older platforms of the Charger and 300 of the generation. It seems like to get an ZF-8spd transmission into a Magnum, you would have to do some chassis work because the transmission tunnel itself only supporting the old gen 5spd-auto. You remember that clunker of a transmission. >_

I respectfully disagree with having to discontinue the Charger IF they were to bring the Magnum back. Two different types of vehicles in what they have to offer other than drivetrains. Similar to offering a 2DR Hatch and the same car in a 4DR Sedan. A wagon would offer more than a Sedan. I just think more options on a car based platform offers more versatility.

Hey R/T I got a special case for you if you wanted to link up for a video. How about a stock 2017 5.7L daytona being smoked by a basic stock R/T? I need help on finding where I'm losing power and why am I getting burned by the same 5.7Ls. When I say burned, I'm talking 4 cars, 1 challenger and 3 chargers. I get smoked by all 3 by more than a car length. ALL stock

My wife is disabled. We both like fast cars. I really wish we had a SRT Hellcat Magnum. I could haul her wheelchair, she could sit in the car with ease,but still enjoy it's sporty attitude! I really wish they would make an srt Magnum for us👍👍😀😀
