If was a cop making a traffic stop and a mopar takes off on me, after 2 blocks with no visibility, I'd try to think better, cut the lights & sirens, have a cup of coffee and report back to dispatch that Ive lost sight. Not worth the hassle.
That trackhawk was not in sight. I know they're paid to catch these guys but at some point you have to think of everyone else's safety

The cop car in the first chase is a V6... And the second chase was over the moment he pulled off. It took them too long to get back in the car and start the pursuit. By the time they hit the interstate, he was gone.

They are a slap in the face to ICE muscle car enthusiasts particularly Challenger and Charger fans such as myself. Trust me...the battery power Charger has a very dim future ahead it if any at all. First was a factory Trackhawk, no doubt, second one was a Trackhawk clone with i think i 6.1 and awd.

Police must be happy that Chrysler no longer making any of these high HP vehicles anymore. Although I believe in the future eventually electric cars with AWD could prove to be even more difficult to catch once the battery range is figured out. I believe the Government is going to push a kill switch device to be installed in new cars at some point maybe 2026. While I like watching these videos if my Track Hawk got stolen, I rather have the engine shut down and my vehicle not get destroyed by ASP during a 100 MPH pit maneuver.
you can always work around these things. resourceful people will do so.
Battery range doesn't matter in a pursuit. Either you lose them in the first 5 miles or you're screwed moat I'd the time. Undefeated Charger loses them in under 5 miles lol.
@@Webcoreinteractive True Tesla model S Plaid 1020 HP has no power curve can accelerate 0-60 in 2 seconds. Few full throttle pulls and turns probably long gone before the battery is a problem. AWD not going to have any tire spinning.

Chrysler made the same mistake now, that they did in '78. They dumped all the big V8s, this time, in favor of a highly boosted 6. Even for trucks. It'll suck and they'll "eventually" learn - again.

This is from Milwaukee Wi. They all run there is a no chase policy for thos exact reason...too many deadly crashes over speeding tickets. Unless the vehicle is involved in a serious felony they usually stop a chase after like 4 blocks or a certain MPH

I’d hold that thought on that “deadly combination of performance” bc Trackhawks can’t turn and they virtually have no brakes compared to any other SUVs in its class… performance wise:
- Turbo GT/Urus/RSQ8/Bentayga
- DBX707
- X5 or X6 M Comp

@@brandoxic8354 in a straight line without a short braking zone, the track will go head to head with any SUV I named. But when there is a small braking zone, turns, and more driver skill required, the track doesn’t compare for real. But again, in a straight line when braking doesn’t matter, it and the Durango are best bang for buck

3 people were hurt in that car one critically he was 54 years old but i think he made it the 2 officers was hurt too i think they victims got a settlement for that not too long ago but im not sure couldve been another case but 2 ppl was also hurt when the trackhawk crashed down the street but they ended up bein ok the driver was 19 trackhawk was stolen

Cops can just put a spike strip under your tire if they gonna stop and let them walk up to the car. If they take off they get flat tire. If they don't run the cop can just retrieve the spike strip when the stop is done

Hey RT I’m in UK ( I know sucks!) I want a Challenger but cost of bringing it from the US is not really a good idea. Too much tax plus vat plus shipping etc. However, I have noticed that there is quite few to choose from over here but they are the older ones. Which one would you go for SRT8 6.4 ,6.1 or standard RT 5.7 after 2015 the price is almost the same. Is this older 6.4 not too old? They both are around £20K ($25K) thanks man . I enjoy your videos a lot and hope to own one of these cars someday.
If you're going to leave it stock or do a bolt-on/NA build - SRT392 all day long. (esp. if the prices are the same)
@@RTLife yeah price for 2012 6.4 and 2016 5.7 are the same. V6s are dirt cheap but I don’t know how much it would cost to get scat engine and swap it. Probably price of original scat or close
