Classic Eminem footage of him destroying MC's at The Rap Olympics.. Em in his prime doing what he does best. He eventually went on to lose to MC Juice in the finals but boy what a ride to the finals that was. Here are my thoughts on it all...

DaBrakes I'm the guy Eminem battled at the 8:26 mark. This video is not a "rap battle video", it's promotion for Eminem. Why? Because you never see or get to hear the other rappers rap. I agree Em said some slick lines, but he also spit written rhymes himself that was dope because he "wrote 90% of it". If you watched Eminems other rap battles from that era you hear the same lines being used. Eminem wasn't exactly a nobody because he had a record deal and had Wendy Day shopping him around. Wendy Day was and probably still is a very important person in many successful rap music careers (Master P, David Banner, Twista, Eminem, etc.). Otherwize did win this battle and to my knowledge no Crips threatened to beat anyone up. The only beef at that event that was brewing was between two major rap stars, but I'll keep that to myself for now. This was L.A. underground Hip Hop which is more about rap skills and Hip Hop culture then gang banging. The next rap battle you watch be sure to pause and fast forward one of the opponents rebuttals, and to most it may appear that the person you watched opponents "didn't stand a chance". But to others we're like "can I see the whole video". Best of health, happiness and success to all.

@@DaBrakes Em gave me his tape after we battled. It's was outlandishly good. I actually wasn't scheduled to be in the battle. The event coordinators were calling someone to the stage who didn't show up so I pretended to be him and thats how I got in the battle. I initially beat Eminem and was sent back stage in preparation to battle Otherwize, but Wendy Day petitioned the judges and Em and I battled again. When we battled again he was declared the winner and went on to battle Otherwize. I would love to see the video as well. As far as the lines I used I remember only one. Eminem had came out saying "Such and such and such is down with us".. He was using one of "KRS ONE" song melodies and cadence. So my opening line to him was "First of all white boy before you come in here biting Kris Parker, You're going to have to get a whole lot darker". That may have been the line that sent me backstage for the final round. Wendy Day didn't like the line because she kept asking me "Why'd you have to go to the race card". I told her I was just trying to make people laugh.

Eminem won this battle against otherwise. I was a judge with Juice and Marley Marl. The crips threatened to beat us up if we voted fo Em. This was for the Rap Sheet convention Red Lion Hotel 97.

i, me, assembled the winning team @ProjectBlowedLA "Project Blowed".
what you may be referring to was the FOURTH round that Em did win and he almost won the competition. think back. it was supposed to be 3 rounds, yea ? Wize won round 1. Em won round 2. round 3 was debatable so "YOU JUDGES" petitioned for an ADDITIONAL round - which Em won. He was almost deemed the winner of the battle until we argued that in spite of Em taking that last round - the SCORE - was actually 2-2.
so any threats or aggression that was displayed was in the name of FAIRNESS ! and as legend has it OTHERWIZE won the 5th round and subsequently the battle itself.
ps: the venue is called The Proud Bird (on Aviation Blvd). the Red Lion was waaaay over on Wilshire near Western. 10-15 miles away.

okay im genuinely just curious, if the score was 2-2, and their was a third round that he won... why did he lose instead of take the tie breaker 3rd round? like Im fr not just trynna ride ems dick, im just curious about that

i said that round 3 was questionable - BUT via crowd reaction Otherwise got louder cheers by a small margin (technically the battle was over then). so the JUDGES chimed in and requested ANOTHER round to try to 'clearly' determine a winner. [maybe your count is slightly off also ?]

Nope back in those days u literally had to flip & coin & not know ur opponent or type of beat u were even knew u were gonna be on !!! Or not know anything they were wearing in less than litterally 30 seconds flat , so u must be smokin the pipe!!!! He did all that off the dome sir !!!! The 99's battle stage in Detroit was nothing like the fools today that get a entire month to write & prepare for they're opponents 😂

@@maralinekozial9131 He repeated all of those same lines in his battle against All Star at Scribble Jam a few months earlier. They are writtens. Eminem was spitting at least 35% writtens in these videos. He has admitted to using writtens in his autobiography.

bro the thing is eminem was a nobody at the time. its like going to your local rap battle event and seeing a guy battle that sounds very dope but no one knows him so why would they take the time to film. you know what i mean

Wendy Day commissioned the film. She was trying to get Eminem signed. They were expecting Wu-Tang, Ras Kass, etc to show up. Signed MCs there included Kwest tha Mad Ladd and 2 members of Freestyle Fellowship.

The guy who has the allegedly stolen footage does not seem interested in negotiating for its release, but the bootleg might get released.
