I know some other good products to waterproof enclosures would be: yacht sealant, the paints used to waterproof basements, or pond sealant. It's good to put silicone around the bottom corners too, if you have a species that likes a lot of humidity. The method you use is great though! I love this build series.

That part of it was hard for me to figure out and I didn't want to spend tons of money for a good sealant. I'm going to see how they hold up and look into the options you mentioned for future builds.

How are your lizards doing? I heard that water based is safest option for sealant. Making a tank of my own and just wanted to know if it was just rumors or if i should just use water-based poly

How many pieces of 2x4 and 2x2 did you purchase/use for this project? Planning on making one as well 😀 and I'm not very woodworky hahah

I can't exactly recall but I framed the whole enclosure with the 2×2s basically in every corner where the plywood boards meet. I only used one 2×4 for the bottom lip where my window track is to allow for substrate depth. In hindsight, I wish I would have gone taller for a deeper substrate.

How much your grandad charge to build another one exactly the same except maybe a little bigger ?

I don't think we've perfected it well enough to offer services :(
