For a stand in drummer who had learnt the songs the day before, he absolutely nailed it. Obviously there were noticeable mistakes, but still, so impressed at his ability.
I've been a die hard fan of Emarosa, since 'This Is Your Way Out' and i have to say wow. Although he is the new guy, and jonny definitely left some big shoes to fill, But it seems like he's doing absolutely great. From the moment he sang 'Tailored SHEETSSSS!!!' in this video, I knew, This is the guy for Emarosa. Thank you very much for uploading!!
The "tailored sheets" line was a bit rocky, but everything after that was legit as fuck. It's tough doing Jonny's heavy parts if you don't sing like that on a regular basis but I think this guy can pull it off.
So proud of Bradley because he didn't write these songs but he kicks ass. I don't have a favorite front man they both bring something different to each song.
Instead of talking so much shit about Bradley, and wishing Jonny was still in Emarosa, why don't we just appreciate how Emarosa sounds with Bradley, and also appreciate Jonny in Slaves. They're both amazing

INFACT, Bradley invited me onto stage to sing I didn't go my biggest rsgret ever...btw; ( it was the best show I personally have ever been to.....sooo fun. It was at the Branx in portland oregon Devils dance tour...I went to see Emarosa♥ Awesome Aaaaaawwweeesssooommmeee!!!! They rocked it was totally rad.
SO GLAD TO SEE BRADLEY SETTLING INTO SOME OF THESE OLDER SONGS, PEOPLE WERE HATIN HARD ON HIM FOR SINGIN THE OLDER SONGS SINCE THE DEBUT SHOW BUT HE'S KICKIN ASS
without Lukas Koszewski, Jonas Ladekjaer, Jonny Craig Emarosa is only half complete, it is good that they are still going on with this new guy but man NOBODY can hit "Tailored Sheets" like jonny boy, You will be always remembered Jonny Goodspeed Jonny craig
Honestly, he's obviously just not as good a singer as Jonny, but he does alright. As a singer myself I know how fucking hard it would be to go out there and have to start off with The Past Should Stay Dead, which was Jonny's signature song and is hard as hell to sing. His range is just different. Jonny's had his fair share of bad performances over the years yes, but Bradley Walden is just not nearly as naturally talented a singer as JC, very few are.
Okay yall can keep up fighting between Jonny and Bradley but im pretty fucking sure They both have more talent than most of yall in the comment section.
What does them being better than us have to do with anything? That's like saying you go to a restaurant but you can't judge the food because you don't cook
Not saying Bradley is a better singer but I like his voice better than Jonny's... It's smoother and he makes the songs a bit more catchy in my opinion, he doesn't do runs 24/7 and belts it out in an alto way that I like, just my humble opinion with slight facts to back it up (:
I'll make it easy, Jonny is the better singer, Jonny has a soulful & meaningful voice. Meanwhile Bradley has a shakey voice and he can't do acoustic well and Bradley can do upbeat songs but if you want meaning then Jonny is the guy
I'm listening to the Past Should Stay Dead and my mind is being critical but I'm like "Really though, it's some enormous shoes to fill." Honestly, can anyone really fill Johnny's place on a track like that? I'm not super knowledgeable at the Alt Rock scene so feel free to prove me wrong.
Yes, thank you for stating the obvious. Your comment which has been stated by thousands of Emarosa fans for the past years is so helpful for the development of this band. You're such a wonderful person for throwing in this brilliant statement. Thank you for existing.
Nicholas Douglas He is singing it in the key he wrote it....Just at a different interval, think about how many shows he has on the tour, he needs to preserve his voice. Although you are right it doesn't sound as good :P
It's in key, he's just doing it in runs instead of screaming it like in the recorded version. That shit would wreck the fuck out of his voice if he did it exactly like that night after night, lol.
Bradley sounds 10000% better than Jonny live. Have any of you seen him live? I have, twice with Dance Gavin Dance and Emarosa. He was high on heroin both times though. He was horrible.
Slaves is irrelevant to how he sounded in Emarosa. Slaves is slaves. Emarosa is Emarosa. I HATE when people compare the two. The fact of the matter is he isn't in the band anymore but when he was he sounded like shit live.
Judging purely from this video... definitely not. He's struggling to reach some of the higher notes, and thus is very much out of key in those moments. (Either change the melody up, or perform the songs in a different key. Don't reach for notes you can't hit.) And even when Jonny was a mess, he had most of his full range still there at his disposal, and sang in key. Even if his annunciation might've been occasionally off, and his voice was more gritty/raw at some times than others, he was still more in tune than this guy is in this video.
And that's not even mentioning their respective melismas. If such vocal gymnastics aren't typically you're forte, then don't do them. Don't attempt it and end up having off notes in your runs, just because the previous singer was full of them. Just sing the melody straight. High or not, Jonny's melismas were effortless and on point nearly all the time. That's his bread and butter. Doesn't seem to be the case for Bradley. Not hating on him as a vocalist, he seems to have a great tone, but stick to what you're good at. Don't attempt what you aren't.
Ha never heard Bradley sing Johnny's songs but I gotta say...he sounds better that Johnny did live ha and I think emarosa with Bradley is 10x better on their worst song.
Luis Gomez bradley is a better frontman than jonny in every aspect sir jonny may have a better voice for the songs jonny sang on but bradley does them better and you cant tell me shit for my opinion
luis piratelorde Nope... He literally doesn't sing Jonny's songs better at all haha. He's a great frontman, great singer and probably better person but he's no Jonny Craig vocally.
Nicholas Douglas never said he was im talking about stage presence wise when singing jonny just stands there now and stays on stage bradley got into the crowd and shit
'68 is an American rock duo that formed in 2013. The two-piece band features guitarist and vocalist Josh Scogin, formerly of the hardcore band The Chariot, and drummer Michael McClellan. I mean the drummer in the video is Michael from the band 68.
news for people prasing Bradley's vocal ability and saying he's better than Craig. You gotta be tone deaf to say that... he's missing so many notes, out of tune half of the way... this doesn't even need any opinion or taste related argument... this stuff is just too advanced for him. Obviously he's struggling singing this... even songs he wrote he doesn't sound well... asking the crowd to sing his shit ... just on second song already dead ... wow ... Emarosa great fucking singer choice. Wow i am typing as i listen to this show ... and it just gets worse ... Toast to the future... is like one of easier songs Emarosa has... and he sounds like total crap!
For goddamn's sake, show some empathy ! He's still new in the band and it was one of his first shows with them. He doesn't have the same range as Jonny so obviously he struggles to sing his songs.
Mariooo57 You know i would show some empathy if people didn't post silly comments saying that this guy has a wider range than Craig and sounds betters than him... that is just pure ignorance and it's fact he can't sing this stuff... He auditioned for the band you know and he knew what kind of songs he's gonna have to go through. That he's new doesn't excuse this perforamnce... i've seen 2 performances with him so far, both are not good... and it's not like they have been touring for a year or something... he is not that good on the songs he wrote as well ...and he had previous stage experience with Squid the Whale. He's not exactly a newbie to this scene.
Brandon Allen No i can not sing like Jonny, that's why i didn't audition for this band! But this guy did... and he's failing... I also don't think he is supposed to sound like Jonny, he just has to make things work in his own way, but it doesn't seem to be working out for him that well.... as i see it i think this stuff is just out of his range... i doubt time will fix that... i could be wrong, time will tell... And i don't see how me being able so sing like Jonny has to do anything with anything...
Mark Priss I think most people who make those kind of claims don't know much about music theory and just use this vocal range argument to compare both singers, which is... lame and forced. While he clearly doesn't have a wider range as Jonny, I think it's unfair to go to the extreme opposite of those people to bash the singer. He may have been a professional singer for a good while, but he's now playing a totally different genre of music. Compared to Squid The Whale, he has to give a more intense and physically exhausting performance not only because the music is more energetic, but also because he uses his higher range more often. I also always thought it is weird to judge a performance over a poor live video but that's another discussion. I've heard the new full lenght (it may or may not have leaked...) and I couldn't have expected a better fit. The whole discussion reminds me of the good ol' Anthony Green vs Cove Reber debate years and years ago. Let's hope fans will give Bradley a chance, I'm sure he'll get better at performing Emarosa's older songs.
I've been a die hard fan of Emarosa, since 'This Is Your Way Out' and i have to say wow. I kinda like the drumming. The performance feels like they’re winging it and having fun
4 years later .. im still here im still in love with the band! Cant stop listening them :)

Bradley does a good job here and he really shines on Versus.
So proud of Bradley because he didn't write these songs but he kicks ass. I don't have a favorite front man they both bring something different to each song.

that acoustic song slays
I cant help but listen to the dude in the back. "2 MORE SONGS!..............WHY WOULD YOU TEASE ME?!......................YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!" xD
Can someone please tell me what kind of hoodie (brand or anything) Bradley's wearing bc it's sick af.

Better now depending on taste lol
Okay yall can keep up fighting between Jonny and Bradley but im pretty fucking sure They both have more talent than most of yall in the comment section.
What does them being better than us have to do with anything? That's like saying you go to a restaurant but you can't judge the food because you don't cook
+theonebuckethead Well usually when you don't like the food at a certain restaurant you dont come back again.

Totally agree dude
Bradley has a great stage present and voice. Saw him live and they sounded like god.
With his type of voice, the part of me that is still a teenager is hoping they'll play some "This is Your Way Out" : )
I'm impressed, though. Really. The guitars sound fresher than ever as well.
This dude is fucking killer, he's done brilliant in every live video i've seen. Good stuff
He is good, but...Jonny is Jonny. Emarosa will be still good, but never the same
Thanks for uploading this!
This dude slays
I WAS disappointed to hear Johnny was gone, but Bradly has the pipes to match him! Plus, he's not a junky! That's always a plus
best band ever ♥

He did well, but isn't that yet.
Emarosa - The past should stay dead
He's just not as good as JC.
Not saying he's not good because he is a great singer, just doesn't have that amazing quality Jonny has.
And he can't sing his own song's chorus at the key he wrote it.
Yes, thank you for stating the obvious. Your comment which has been stated by thousands of Emarosa fans for the past years is so helpful for the development of this band. You're such a wonderful person for throwing in this brilliant statement. Thank you for existing.
There's no need to weep mate, it's an open forum calm down champ ;)

Oh, well Bradley explained it after the first song...my bad.
so where was he? i'm only here to check the acoustic song.
Does Bradley ever sing heads or tails real or not live? I can't find a vid.
joe jo search his name on RUclips and you can find an acoustic of it somewhere in there

Does it really matter??? We are still getting great music!
I was there!! :D
That new drummer's like Ricky Bobby during an interview.
So did Bradley not practice any of these songs or...?
Luv it
The drummer from 68' Is playing here
What venue is this?
Ace of Spades in Sacramento CA
My god!
He sings Jonny's songs better than his own.
don't ever say that again man

Ma chi se ne frega chi canta meglio dei due!?!? Il disco nuovo (Versus) è davvero figo!
That drummer didn't know the parts at all holy shit. Where's their old drummer? He was really good.
he learned a few hours before the show. Craig owens posted about it on instagram lol
Brad said after Past that their drummer had to attend a funeral.
watchthemfall0949 is he the drummer of 68?
Devil Gavin Dance
I thought he did excellent on the old songs, I mean let's face it Jonny's songs are fucking hard to sing on
...a toast for the future kids? no sir , your voice destroyed this song.
So hard to accept there's a new singer.
best comeback of 2014 EMAROSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh ok
I do not get the love for Johnny Craigs voice ive seen him live and he sucked...
Same, dude. I've seen him with Emarosa, DGD, Slaves, and solo. Each and every time he's been shit.
Better than tillian
I stopped listening after Jonny craig left and now I remember why
anybody can heard the drummer?!!!! he is out of tempo the entire show!! he doesnt know the songs, seen to be lost every time. he sounds awful!!!!
He said after the second song that he's a guy from another band because theirs couldn't be there
now i understand.txs buddy!
Not to mention he learned all this songs a day before?
