Sutekh was a one-time villian in only one story with the pyramids of Mars. After 49 years, he has returned. So it's understandable why casual fans don't have knowledge of Sutekh. But they will know of why because Sutekh is one of the most powerful villians and is the only villain the Doctor fears the most.

The wrong anagram was S Triad (Technology). It was a deliberate trap by Sutekh to lure the Doctor, and he still hid his name in the company name through a wordplay. So, yeah. SUE TECH is not an anagram. But the line was not referring to it as such

He even introduces himself with his own words. There is not much to be confused about as it is pretty much all there for you to know. The references are cool but they're not important for understanding what is going on in the scene and the episode.
@@Zestieee It kind of expects you to have some knowledge. The Doctor reacts to Sutekh's name in a way that we should have some tiny bit of understanding at least.
I dunno, it's probably more of a me-problem not keeping up with Doctor Who.
@@eruannster The Doctor has often been aware of creatures and events we never even saw on screen. He's not a clueless character, he's got some experience. The Doctor's reaction is merely telling us that he knows how dangerous and powerful this enemy actually is.
This happened with the Master's initial return as well as Davros', there was no way to previously know these villains if you hadn't watched the Classic series and yet the reveals still came off as very striking simply because the Doctor was so overwhelmed by their return.
I loved the original reveal but this gave me freaking chills with how good it was
That’s not an anagram it’s a portmanteau.
for a science fiction show, doctor who has had a lot of gods
"It was the wrong anagram..."
That's...That's not an anagram, Doctor.
S Triad was, yes, but Sue Tech = Sutekh is not what id call an anagram.
(Do love the reveal, its very pro-wrestling style. Reminds me of Y2J's 2009 WWE return)
Torchwood/Doctor Who of course was an Anagram. This is more what I would call a pun. And a stretch at that.
The wrong anagram was S Triad (Technology).
It was a deliberate trap by Sutekh to lure the Doctor, and he still hid his name in the company name through a wordplay.
So, yeah. SUE TECH is not an anagram. But the line was not referring to it as such
@@Zestieee what I'm arguing is that's not what an anagram is. You could call it something else but an anagram ain't it.
Never watched the classic show. This is incredible editing.
Good vid mate 😀
They should have had the flashback scenes
Nice idea and a neat edit, but I think it's a bit too jumpy and takes the tension out of the scene.
A definite improvement, you’v put context, her voice becomes so static that it was hard to make out what she was saying sounded like she was talking with a lisp
Can we just do a shout out to Murray Gold's soundtrack for this two-parter for a sec. At so many points I thought the soundtrack was so good.
0:16 seven is KILLIN ME LMAOOOOO
I love this video, it’s done really well, but it also makes it clear to me why it didn’t show these. They kill the building terror this speech is going for.
Thank you for this! Your version was so much better than what we actually saw!
so The Beast of Satan Pit is the god of what??🤨
God of spite
Not a big fan of flash back (mostly because shows use them at wrong time) but this is one time it would of been super useful in the show haha
Now which episodes are all these from
This would've helped a lot. When they said "His one true name...Sutekh" my first thought was "Who?" because I never saw The Pyramid of Mars, and had to go to the wiki for context. I was mildly disappointed because I know who Susan is, and they were building up to her. And then the switcu happened but the impact fell flat because I didn't know who they were
would have made the ep almost perfect if they did something like this
I preferred it without the flashbacks, but still a nice little edit, then again that's just my insignificant preference to the ultimate decision of a creative team who have no idea of my existence.
My theory for future tv series what if ruby might be mother of Susan also could river or rose be mother of ruby?
Somebody get on the horn to Cheyenne Mountain. We need Stargate Command NOW.
This would have helped. A lot.
HELL YEAH
NICE!!!
Well at least it didnt devolve into a musical dance number this time. Thats something.
