Certainly needed flashbacks, after all, when Sutekh was revealed I was like "who?" Kind of easy to forget a character who was only in one serial, even if it is Sutekh.

Being watching through his era for the first time it is slowly becoming one of my favourites, it actually feels like they are adventuring i don't get that feeling with new doctor who episodes anymore.

so, i’ve got a funny story about Peri. when i first started watching her episodes, i thought she was an actual American- _and i’m American._ you see, i watched a lot of British TV as a small child and would always mimic their accents when i was alone. it should be noted that i was _extremely_ shy as a child and i don’t have any siblings, so i was alone a lot. as a result, when i say some words(like “really” and “good”), i slip into an English accent. so whenever Peri’s accent slipped, i thought nothing of it. it was only after i looked up her actress that i learned that she’s not actually American

There was an attempted coup by the Master, taking place at the time, and he wanted to rule through Susan. The Doctor's memory of all the events surrounding the coup were erased, and when he finally left Gallifrey, he found Susan had stowed away in the Tardis and since his memory was wiped, he believed her when she said she was his granddaughter.
