Well yea it's like with James Hetfield he's a secret shredder but mostly plays rhythm, ik Matt can shred I've seen it but again he's the lead singer but again he plays pretty complex rhythm stuff while singing pretty impressive
They are indeed very good, maybe not the ultimate shredders n fast players, but they write gd music and I think thats what counts. Plus Matt is a brilliant rhythms player and Padge is cmn along really well as a lead and is surely up there with the best!
They're using the POD, which has gazillion presets and effects for their distortion, but as for the solo on this video, he's not using wah, but I think live, he does.
Padge And Matt both do the solo in Her Voice Resides, Padge does the first hald then Matt does the second, Padge also does the second solo in Say Goodnight and the rest of the leads. Take it out on Me is a harmony solo, and then the fast run at the end is done by Padge. XD
It's not complicated or hard to play their songs, as Psychoparamecium said, but they are fucking good to make riffs anyway. It's not the difficulty who counts, but how it sounds! My opinium..
it has the flag inlays instead of the trapezoids tho so it should be an ESP but he may have just gotten a custom shop with two volume and two tone knobs
Uhm...if you get their live dvd, live from Brixton, you can see that they BOTH play lead parts on pretty much EVERY song...sometimes matt will play the rythms throughout the whole song and then when the solo comes he'll fuckin tear that shit up by himself...but then other songs Padge plays the solos...but yeah, the point is there is no SET lead / rythm parts in BFMV and theyre both some kick ass guitar players!
ah fair enough haha it was just the "sigh i tabbed this within an hour -_-" that kindo winded me up lol sounded dead sarcastic and saying it was noobish composing hehe xD
I agree, songs don't have to be complicated to be good, this song sounds great; it's just that when one says they are really good guitarists, in a relative sense it's true and also not true
when i said anyway, i meant like harmonizing in 5th and 4th and stuff, but you already explained so yeah. o and cool. do you know any ways to practice so i actually know myself that i understand this concept?
I alaways thought Padge played the solo... surprising matt does because normally lead singer normally just plays lead in a few metal bands. looks like i was wrong :P
Tabs can be found at www.ultimate-guitar.com...And for the guitar, I'm guessing you mean Matt Tuck's guitar, I believe he uses the Jackson RR5... Thanks for commenting!
o. i think i get it now. o when harmonizing, you have to know what scale you're playing in and then you just harmonize it in anyway? or is it a whole other different concept?
hey. umm i just wanted to ask a question. if you have a melody. i just made one up for an example. F#, E, D, E, F#. would the harmony of that be A, G, F, G, A or would it be A, G, F#, G, A? if they're both wrong can you tell me the correct one? thank you for your time to reply. :)
I'm telling you guys matt secretly practices intense solos and he can shred actively. He has taken BFMV to a new level.
Well yea it's like with James Hetfield he's a secret shredder but mostly plays rhythm, ik Matt can shred I've seen it but again he's the lead singer but again he plays pretty complex rhythm stuff while singing pretty impressive
pretty sure matt tracks all the guitars, at least on the early albums
peak metalcore
days were better then , when that harmony kicks in , wow just wow it gave me goosebumps
When people weren't so angry all the time, hell yeah.. Can still feel the warmth of the sunlight hitting my face back in that sunny 06 afternoon
@@zaccorpseman7366 ya man that was the best Time In life
Shit, people still actually comment on this. I saw this 13 years ago tine flies
@@fransholmberg7934 got to man. This is bullet in its gold age. Good days

Omg first demonstration I've seen from matt
Holy shot. Haven't seen this video in 13 years.
Welcome back.
i love when bands do videos like this
Matt is an insane shreder ;)
They are indeed very good, maybe not the ultimate shredders n fast players, but they write gd music and I think thats what counts. Plus Matt is a brilliant rhythms player and Padge is cmn along really well as a lead and is surely up there with the best!
anyone notice Matt is using his middle finger to tap here but he uses index to tap in Alone
The days of the line 6 pod god im old
can't have enough of this solo
yes, thank u very much. i've always thought that people harmonized in octaves until i saw ur comment, so u really taught me something. thanks
thats soooooo awesome wish i could play like that
Can you now? :D
@@krenzzie7290 I wished i could play like that 10 years ago, I can now! :D
Same xD
Man thats an easy solo tbh... Umm im commenting too late sry
Watch any of their live DVD's, there's no 'secretly' about it.
you can tell by the guitars the hairstyle and the skill.
i love playing this song on the guitar, very amazing song
I bet Matt is secretly an insane shredder.
Secretly?
I just want to point out that they are playing via a line 6 pod go - in todays speak it’s like plugging into a watermelon
OMG i love BFMV! Awesome vid!! 5/5

XD

yea it is, there's no gibson inlay on the headstock, its just black, and sometimes you can see an E
*i adore BFMV theyre the best! (fully sick bro)
very true, its most likley an ESP Custom Shop then, well spotted
this song is so easy like all around drums guitar everything
OMFG fucking awesome, I ADORE THESE PLAYERS !!!!!!!!
matt's unbelievable... if only I could play this song like him..
one of my fav bullet songs
they are now using the Line 6 Pod here.
Live Padge uses Mesa Boogie triple reflectier. and Matt uses Peavey 6505+
no worries dude, nowerdays though he pretty much only uses his ESP Signature V, which is pretty badass
they are playing drop c like its nothing too, like it sounds like you shouldnt get that shredding sound but you do though, crazy
I love them 😍😍😍😍
dam that was funny as hell "I know my guitars . Hop off"
dude...thats awsome!
it has the flag inlays instead of the trapezoids tho so it should be an ESP but he may have just gotten a custom shop with two volume and two tone knobs
Yeah their POD settings are Modern Highgain & a Line6 4x12 cab model. Can't see the EQ's that well though.
padge is lead...matt is rhythm..
BFMV rock!!dey fuckin rule!!!
Even though Matt's guitar is plugged into one.
ah fair enough haha it was just the "sigh i tabbed this within an hour -_-" that kindo winded me up lol sounded dead sarcastic and saying it was noobish composing hehe xD
Bfmv rocksssssss they are the best
i like them too but dont be angry....maybe most think its emo but we all really know that this is best of Metalcore ^^
Total Guitar Magazine
great job guys!! good fuckin work!
I agree, songs don't have to be complicated to be good, this song sounds great; it's just that when one says they are really good guitarists, in a relative sense it's true and also not true
wow that was a huge help for me. Now i know it for sure! :)
Awesome! thats all what i can say about this!!!
when i said anyway, i meant like harmonizing in 5th and 4th and stuff, but you already explained so yeah. o and cool. do you know any ways to practice so i actually know myself that i understand this concept?
Oh cool. Well, thanks for your help! :)
one of his signatures is an ltd
Nice riff.. great song!!
yeah but the other guy does the more harder solos
I alaways thought Padge played the solo...
surprising matt does because normally lead singer normally just plays lead in a few metal bands.
looks like i was wrong :P

SOOOOOO FUC*IIIIIIIIING GOOD !"! :' O
It looks a bit big to be a POD 2.0 don't you think?
trivium owns bullet. corey and matt can own matt and padge but i still like bullet
That's ESP Eclipse-II.. It has only 22 fret and LTD EC-1000 has 24 frets :D And yes, you can get the standard ESP Eclipse in that colour.. :D
AMAZING!
at this time they were MUCH better, then since the album "Fever" -.-*
it is
and then theres a white boss pedal but that padge is using but im not exactly sure which one it is
1:19-1:24 How the F does he do that...... Their amazing.
he's just doing a trill and tapping at the same time
This is probably their easiest song on the poison, that solo is definitely the easiest solo I can think of from them
@@ogbee9690 solo is really easy compared to their other ones and most solos in general but the riff is for sure one of the harder ones on the poison
Trill + tapping
fucking awesome...
o. i think i get it now. o when harmonizing, you have to know what scale you're playing in and then you just harmonize it in anyway? or is it a whole other different concept?
it might be a les paul, he somtimes uses gibsons with EMG's in them
That was fucking awesome!
matt is using Jackson RR1 and padge is using LTD eclipse 2 in this video :)
THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!
hey. umm i just wanted to ask a question. if you have a melody. i just made one up for an example. F#, E, D, E, F#. would the harmony of that be A, G, F, G, A or would it be A, G, F#, G, A? if they're both wrong can you tell me the correct one? thank you for your time to reply. :)
rofl, dude thats matt and pagde u fool;p
the weird thing is i know its an ESP and everything but it has four knobs on it instead of 3 so its probly a custom.
freakin sweet
that would be michael paget
lmao they make it look so easy
Right, I was just wondering if you could zoom in on the POD and see their settings!
awesome
Looks like a ESP eclipse to me, i own one
it doesnt really sound like unholy confessions to me but thats me maybe to u it does
omfg that's really funny, you saying that they play it better than you and your friend ROtFLMAO
they are using Peavy and Mesa Boogie dude!
nice !!
they look like punks, they are called Emo, and they are playing Metal....from anything a bit ^^
Lol thats called a POD
pretty kool
Bullet and triv are both amazing seen them live there both good in diffrent ways triv is not better bullet is not better
lol SICK
Good job guys.. awesome.
Set you apart? what are you talking about?
He used a gibson at brixton
the les pal is a ESP EC1000
well i know matt uses a 6505+ with mesa cabs and a tube screamer and a noise gate, idk bout padge tho
