Honestly, in spite of all the weird Chinese esoteric insanity that this game has, it’s “true ending” actually made me super intrigued with the premise. The idea that, throughout the entire game, you’re wondering how completely batshit everything is, and the game basically says, “Yeah. Weird how that’s possible, isn’t it…?” The revelation that you’re basically trapped inside the dream of an enlightened deity is somehow extremely brilliant and unexpected.
I know that there is so much to this game but if you read wuxia novels this wouldn't be strange at all and as an avid wuxia readers I highly highly recommend you guys NOT to read any wuxia novels. There is like 3000 chapters for each title and you need like one month to finish just one book. Well anyway it's nice to see you guys having mindfucked by the absurdity of this game. It is fun but a huge time sink just like reading wuxia novels. Thanks for the reaction
3000 chapters, but only the first 500 are any good, and you are only continuing to read because you have stockholm syndrome (And are addicted to face slaps, verbal and literal) - Guess what novel I'm talking about? Spoiler, its way too many of them.
@@DEATHBYFIRE09 You're way too generous with that 500 mark. Usually even the best xianxia stories fall apart and get stuck in a perpetual loop after just two hundred chapters.
@@DEATHBYFIRE09 that’s why I usually just read ones about kingdom building, making stuff or introducing modern tech into fantasy worlds. These specific tags are usually a lot more well put together.
As a reader of wuxia Manhua, trust me when I say, the game actually makes more sense the more open minded you are. Don't think too harf on it, just simplify the very top of the pyramid of info and it'll go smoother the longer you play it.
Around 27:00 With the sentient thing in Wuxi a novel, (I’m using emperor’s Domination as a basis) objects mostly plants and animals (not really walls, at least haven’t read one where that happens stones yes walls no) are nourished by the natures Qi, if they are natured long enough or helped by people they can gain sentience. They then often follow the cultivation process of humans and look human, if they take there original form like a tree ore animal form they are closer to nature and can cultivate faster or are stronger. They take human form because in simpler terms are more intelligent in that form and comprehend things faster.
Exhausting is right. Out of all his videos, this is one with a unique amount of information overload. I will never play it, but was still enjoyable to watch lol
If you liked Beware of Chicken, but want to branch into something more "traditional" while still having a similar sense of rationality and a protag who's still a decent human being, I recommend Ave Xia Rem Y. Its pretty good and isn't as boring and annoying as the more "classic" stories like Coiling Dragon.
Honestly it looks intimidating but I get into this game after sseth’s video and it is not that hard to understand surviving is easy mode on this game in comparison to Rimworld it’s all in the cultivation
I'm delighted by the number of fellow Wuxia/Xianxia enjoyers down here. I was watching this like "yeah, simple, makes perfect sense", but I can imagine the ruin this video brought to the brains of anyone unfamiliar. It's pretty much a speedrun for your first Chinese novel experience. You'd be destroyed by names alone😅
Im convinced this game was made as satire to mock chinese culture by just adding every superstition they hold and making it all as accurate as possible. Essentially the reality is funnier than any fiction they could make.
Honestly if you read enough Wuxia novel, this game is not even half of the insanity
Holy mother of god it get's worse with the insanity?

Not really. That's actually pretty tame or even cliche in Wuxia novels.
The most important part of the ending is that it’s telling you to go outside and cultivate for real this time
i know its a year late, but the second game (amazing cultivation simulator 2) will take place in the real world and will also be 3d.

I find the ones that focus on romance and have the MC as female are shorter and have better endings (comparatively) XD

Never try and get hooked by Tales of Demons and Gods. The Author updates 1 chapter per month if he's generous enough.
As a fan of wuxia novels this game actually kind of makes sense lmfao

great job guys, love the reactions!
This makes me want to continue to read the Poppy War books, it’s not Wuxia but Fantasy China is just built different

as weird as it may look to outsiders that game actually makes a lot of sense to people that read wuxia/xianxia/xuanhuan

It's actually the opposite. Xianxia and Wuxia novels (The chinese genre's that inspired this game) actually get much wilder than this game.
