This is an interesting question -- Robert and I will dig up some Toronto board stats to see what we can find, since it is the largest real estate market in Canada. As far as the Canada wide average, I'll see what we can dig up too. :)
I can't comment on why real estate agents drive the cars they do... and take the vacations they do and post them... to each their own I guess... but definitely when one 'signals' certain things they are interpreted by the clients they have. Some clients may be okay with that... others may not be. Tbh I know of some agents doing well and driving Honda Civics... I know of agents bleeding... driving Land Rovers... and everything imbetween.
Enjoyed the video it was pretty well spun on. I am not a real estate broker or agent last year. I tried to sell my place and it didn’t sell the market. It appears at that time was lower than the price I wanted. There were too many speculators it’s a difficultthing to do to sell a property which is the number one investment a lot of people have and to satisfy everyone it’s amazing how little it takes to blow a deal so the world will always need realtors in my opinion
Thanks for your comment and insight, Edward. Absolutely, it is challenging to sell a house, and anyone who says otherwise... tell us your secret. Whether selling with an agent or without, there are a lot of things that can go wrong very quickly. Using a buffer to act between the seller and the buyer helps alleviate some of these challenges, gives a perspective of reason, and takes the workload off the stakeholders in an already stressful situation. But we live in a free world -- sell or buy with or without an agent... and negotiate the fee you want to pay for those services.
Nice video
Nice video. How much does the average agent make in Canada per year?

80% of agents make $36k yearly, in Toronto after expenses, thus it’s around $50k gross.
For me is pisses me off when realtors srive around fancy cars and ik giving ny equity to them for fees. Industry is ripe for disruption.
